Its really hard to get my horse's head down on the flat he just charges around shall I change his bit for a stronger one? He is in an eggbutt snaffle

since you referred to it as 'get my horse's head down' i'm assuming you aren't asking for him to work correctly in the proper way, ie you're using more hand then leg when really it's about asking the horse to reach for the bit and to carry themselves lightly which means you need to use leg to push them forward and into their bit... if you don't do it properly and use your hands heavily, chances are the horse is charging around because it's trying to get away from your hands. dont change bit, school your horse properly and get some qualified help to improve :)

Any help on catching horses who are bad to be caught? Thanks

this is so vague as it depends on your horse's personality and what they're like but i will try haha
basically make sure your body language is passive so you appear as unthreatening as possible. don't be too cautious about going to catch them like moving extremely slowly and such because it gives the horse time to actually think about running away. if your horse is being a pain in the bum you can try and drive them away, just constantly keep them moving and don't give them a chance to eat or anything so you're constantly hassling them, this way they get two choices: stay by your side and be caught, or stay in the field... but if they stay in the field, it becomes their work place. they aren't allowed to eat and they have to keep moving. this works particularly well with horses that are naturally lazy natured
just make sure that if your horse is particularly spooky you dont drive them away as it could potentially frighten them. if they have to come in for something then i'd say just take a bucket of feed with you or a couple of treats to help bribe them in. if you have a couple of days to spare, you can spend a while catching them, and then once you've got the collar on, make a fuss and let them go again. just let them know that coming in is fun and a nice thing, and when they associate with coming in from the field with good things, they'll be more than willing :)

at home it made a very noticeable difference, she was much more forward and listening a lot more. at GBEC it did nothing really lol, but i think that was because she was far too distracted and beside herself with happiness at the fact that there were lots of horses for her to flirt with absolutely everywhere... whatta slut

of course not!
sometimes i'm like 'ffs im gna beat her' but i am obviously not going to. plus there's a difference between handling firmly and being abusive. i know that difference
