just getting her a lot more forward and off of my leg, supple and bending etc pushing her into my contact and stuff getting her working more from her arse and powerful behind than dragging herself along on the forehand.. im really enjoying her on the flat at the moment and since we've seemed to crack her trot work i think i'll start to work on her canter a bit more now and stuff woo :D x

Yeah i ride with one on roxy but that's because she's extremely lazy, so i give her a little slap to get her listening to me and moving forward. You might think that that's cruel, so what is the alternative? Continually booting her in the ribs until she starts working? Ok mate, that will just bruise her ribs. So giving her a little smack is far kinder than booting her. Stfu prick

Bonnie yes, she wears brushing boots on front and back and over-reach boots on the front with all ridden work, sometimes i'll put her in tendon and fetlock boots for jumping though, but she always has something on

Well sometimes a horse cant help but need a gadget, such as flashes/grackles/martingales etc but training aids that don't really seem to 'train' I dont agree with at all really. Ive always been one for like simpler tack and stuff ask any of my friends lol
Why dont you like draw reins?
Ugh i literally hate them! They're a shit short cut for what should be correct schooling and half the people that use them have no idea what they are doing and mistake their horse being outline for having their head tucked in. it builds up incorrect muscle etc and just gah no. Some people say they use them for like aid with control and slowing down but I dont get the point in that because then the horse just learns to lean on the draw rein and then when it's taken away and not there the horse can just fuck around again lol so they're a bit stupid in my opinion
