What has been the highlight of your time with Roxy?

well it has been an incredibly short amount of time in the grand scheme of things so i can't really say. but she feels like she's just getting better and better, so im sure i'll have a highlight for you soon i just can't think of one right now! but im very excited for the future with this mare :D

What has been the highlight of your time with Bonnie?

when she started to really trust me. after having her constantly run away from me in the field where she was virtually uncatchable, flinch whenever i tried to touch her ears or head or whatever to following me up the road from her field to the stables without a head collar or leadrope, letting me rub her ears to the point of oblivion, just generally being cute and resting her head on top of my shoulder when she was chilling in the sun, following me around like a puppy with no collar or rope after lunging her, being able to ride her in a headcollar, jumping literally anything in front of us... yeah that was pretty special. she made me grow. :)

Did you do much in the way of competing with Bonnie?

not particularly, as something awful would happen everytime we went out :')

What has been the highlight of your time with Pickles?

oooh well the highlight was definitely the extensive period of where he was completely sound, he was trusting me, he was jumping like a beast, i felt completely fearless on him and everytime i thought about him it just made me smile. :) and even now, when i think about everything we did i just smile. i couldn't really have asked for a better first pony, because that little gelding taught me how to ride in general and that setbacks can nearly always be worked through with a bit of patience :)

Would you say you have a personality similar to any of your horses, and why?

pickles - no :P
roxy - i can be a bit of a bitch at times, like she can be, but i do love a good laugh and just generally having fun
bonnie - yes i suppose, im kind of cautious of people in general but like i will interact with people etc, i'll shy away if i feel over faced but once i know you and im comfortable with you companionship is beautiful and everything is just grand

What should people know if they ever wanted to jump Roxy?

well because she's quite a long girl, you need a short contact and a lot of leg to ride her together and up hill to get her on her hocks and bouncy. she can also be difficult to turn sometimes so it's all leg to steer to push her body around as well. also, she will normally run out to the left, and she is highly likely to stop at a water tray and then rear to the left :)

How are you not rich, you have horses!

having a horse doesnt make me rich

and i would probably have a better financial status without the horses.... but i luv dem and dey r stayin wid me :')

Also how do you ask for an outline?

this is probably the most complicated thing i could ever try and answer across a computer. an outline is more of a feel than anything and it depends entirely on the horse for what you need to ask for so i couldn't really tell you, other than even rein contact, legs on to push the horse up and forward into the outline, you don;t want to be pulling their heads down and restricting movement :)

I've noticed that you have a really good seat when you ride, how did you get it so good?

thank you! i wasnt fortunate enough to have a saddle that fitted pickles properly for a good 2 years or so, and i got sick of having to get off and adjust it every time i cantered or trotted without stirrups or something, so i just decided to stop riding with a saddle altogether and that's definitely what improved my seat :) but doing no stirrups and stuff also helps, you just have to get a feel for it

Did you ever really jump Pickles? Was he ever any good at it?

yes i did! he was a great jumper, and still probably would be if he got back into it properly :)

Who do you think is a better rider, Cara or Lauren F?

cara is an amazing rider, but it's obviously lauren because shes so much more experienced :)))
