You, Matt and Ray having ask.fm is great. It'd be great if everyone at RT/AH did too! It's a great way to hear honest criticism, answer fans questions and connect to the community! There's just something about being anonymous...

After checking the site out, it seemed like a really good way to one-on-one with some of the fans, without clogging twitter feeds.

Was it ever your aim to get hired like did you speak with Geoff first, or did it literally just happen as a spur of the moment thing at RTX?

Geoff invited me and Matt down for a week while Michael and Lindsay were out. Just to help edit stuff while they were gone. After the week was over he asked if we would be interested in joining the team at some point, but he said it was nothing official. At RTX he officially asked us to join.

When you were making Community videos, did you buy Premiere or do the Creative Cloud plan? Because I'm only using the free trial of Premiere Pro. I've started making some and I have one posted, but my trial ends soon and I want to make a lot more. But starting college I don't have a lot of money.

I did get the creative suite, but only because I studied animation in college and needed it for other projects. Adobe offers a student discount of up to 80%, so you can save a lot of money, but it'll still cost you. In the meantime, Windows Movie Maker is free and can do the very basic editing you'll need, and there are a bunch of other editing programs out there. Personally, I'd go for getting Premiere, especially if you're now familiar with all of its keybindings and such.

What would your advice be for a fan wanting to make connections at AH?

Make community hunter videos. Make a lot of them. Make sure they are good quality. And make sure you make videos with many different people. If you show you can make great videos, with a bunch of different people, on a bunch of different subjects, you'll be on AH's radar in no time.

Has it fully hit you that you've got your dream job? Or does it still feel really bizarre?

Definitely hasn't sunk in yet. Usually I just feel like it's another day at work, but there are moments, like when I'm talking minecraft over a beer with Geoff and Gavin, or cruising to lunch with Joel that I'll really stop and think "I'm a massive fan of these guys. I can't believe I'm with them"
