What's the different between look alike and look like?

"Look-alike" (noun) can mean "someone who looks very similar to someone else": I hired my look-alike to be my bodyguard. The actor's look-alike receives a lot of fan mail by accident.
"Look alike" is used like this: The twins look alike.
"Look like" is used like this: The twins look like their father, who looks like Brad Pitt.

"Low-key" basically means "not flashy" or "not showy," e.g., "She wore a low-key outfit to the ceremony."
People often use it nowadays informally as a synonym for "secret," e.g., "Keep it low-key, but my friend cheated on the exam."
In formal writing, don't use "low-key" in that sense. Use "discreet" or some other synonym instead.
