Can you explain to me further about the meaning of Oblivion? But first, is that grammatically correct? Thank you!

"Can you further explain the meaning of 'oblivion'?"
"Oblivion" = unconsciousness; obscurity; extinction.
- Jo and her friends drank themselves into oblivion.
- Due to a lack of written records, that ancient civilization will fade into oblivion.
- Our courageous soldiers saved us from oblivion.

This kind of lame but do you have any other words or phrase to replace "in conclusion"?

If you're talking about the phrase to put at the beginning of the last paragraph of an essay, "In closing" can work.

What does 'cope' means?

It means to deal effectively with something difficult (e.g., a sickness, a death in the family, a breakup, a setback).
"Jo has coped well with the death of her cat."

"i'm just confirming, did you get my e-mail?" is that correct? please reply :-) thank you

"Please confirm that you received my email" is the most formal way to express this idea.

"is she what you meant?" or "is she what you mean?" iz my grammar correct huhuuu

"Were you asking about her?" or "Are you asking about her?" would make more sense. (It's impolite to refer to "she" as "what.")
You would use "were" if the sentence took place in the past.
You would use "are" if the sentence is happening now.

Hello, could you please give me some examples of intensive pronouns used in a sentenced (in 1st, 2nd and 3rd person)? THANK YOU :)))

1st person (myself): I myself prefer BIGBANG to Super Junior.
2nd person (yourself): You designed BIGBANG's album artwork yourself.
3rd person (himself / herself): Jo went directly to G-DRAGON himself to ask for an autograph.
Intensive pronouns use reflexive pronouns for emphasis. The sentence must make sense if we delete them. (If you look at the three examples above, deleting "myself," "yourself," and "himself" doesn't change the meaning of the sentence at all.)

He hurt me. But as Mia says, we can be mended. We mend each other. Is this correct?

We usually mend objects, so "Our relationship can be mended" would be correct.
There's also an idiom—to "mend one's fences," which means to "make peace with a person": It's not too late to mend fences with him.

what does it mean when someone is DEFICIENT in some way? Does that mean they're mentally ill or something?

It could mean that. It could also mean that the person is physically challenged. In either case, it would be an offensive way to express such ideas.

what does 'just in case' mean?

"To make sure" or "to be safe":
- Jo told me not to bring any money, but I took some cash *just in case*.
- The teacher said that there wouldn't be an exam tomorrow, but I'm going to study *just in case*.

what is the difference between "says" and "said"?

"Says" is present tense, singular: Jo SAYS that the world needs more kind people.
"Said" is past tense, singular or plural: I SAID she was right.

"You didn't expressed your opinions before so why do it now?" Is this correct? :)

"You didn't express your opinions before, so why do it now?"
(After DO, DID, DON'T, DIDN'T, DOES, and DOESN'T, use the base form of the verb.)

"big oaks were still ASWIRL" what does this sentence means? Thank you so much :)

"Big oaks were aswirl with bees, birds, and other flying creatures" would work better.
"Aswirl" = swirling, or covered or surrounded with something swirling.
It would be hard for "big oaks" to be swirling (unless they were caught in a hurricane), so you should either have them aswirl with swirling things, or change "oaks" to something that could be swirling (e.g., flowers).

What does "It abrades my sensibilities." means? Thank you!! :) You're such a great help. I will be forever grateful. <3

It basically means to make me upset by rubbing against my beliefs or what I think is right and proper.
For example, "Teachers who ridicule their students abrade my sensibilities."

Is it correct to say: "It's not yet happened" ?

chrismellody’s Profile PhotoChris
Yes. It's the same as "It has not yet happened," which is the same as "It has not happened yet."
