Yup! I mean, let's say if you restrict and eat less than 1200 cals per day, your metabolism would probably be just ??? hahaha but if you're starting low (if you've always been eating about less than 2k cals) and if you eat more you'd definitely gain weight bc its more than what you usually eat! But once you eat more and constantly eat the same amount of cals everyday for quite some time, you're more likely to maintain at that weight but at the same time you're boosting your metabolism too because it would mean that you can eat that much and still maintain! Hope this helped :)
