Best date ever would probably involve going somewhere far, but not far enough to be considered out-of-town. I'd probably take the lady down south (but not *that* kind of down south... at the beginning of the night) because it's likely that she hasn't been around my neck of the woods, or if she has, she hasn't been around there enough, because the city is too cramped. The rest will follow, depending on where we're going.
Gotta say though I haven't been on a lot of formal dates. I can only count one formal date in the past year, and my time is spent more on plain spending time and hanging out, which I cannot argue against.
