what's the best advice you have gotten in a while?
I've gotten a lot of advice lately because I am currently at a point in my life where I need to hear a lot of advice, but the one thing I keep coming back to is that line from We Bought A Zoo (which I haven't actually seen, so @soyalyanna calls me a poser):

Just because I'm good with the ladies doesn't mean I'm a player, son. My skill should not equate to always having someone else at all times, especially when there are other circumstances, but rather it should equate to being prepared to handle a relationship and treat a lady right when the time comes for me again.

Are you an expert in cooking eggs? They say that once a person knows how to cook eggs properly, you can be assured that he knows the fundamentals of cooking. Also, some girls like eggs. ;)
Actually... I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but I can cook eggs. ;) I can fry 'em, scramble 'em, make an omelette, make torta, separate the yolk from the white, and probably boil 'em. (But that last part I haven't actually tried doing yet.)
Also, I have my own recipe for scrambled eggs! When I have it, I mix in that Selecta-brand Full Cream Milk because it has a vanilla taste, and my scrambled eggs end up being a little sweet. I usually do that when I'm making a cheese omelette. #sharing

Will's actually pretty underrated; he's technically sound and his delivery is top-notch, especially after he moved past his Fresh Prince phase. It's just not well-known because he's a very PG rapper (he even addresses this in one song) and PG rappers don't go very far in the game anymore. They used to back in the late 80s/early 90s.

You know what's funny? I wouldn't really want the prospective girlfriend to cook for me, because I'd much rather be cooking for them. One way to a man's heart is his stomach, sure, but I dunno, I'm just not a fan of my lover cooking for me. If she wants to that's fine, but I'm not going to assign her to that role if she don't want to. (It's also why one kind of joke I can't get behind is a "woman in the kitchen" joke. You're a real man, and a real man makes his own damn sandwich. Preferably with mustard.)
Now that I'm thinking about it this mindset does seem kinda weird to me, but that's just how it is I guess. (Also, my exes can corroborate this desire of cooking for them.)

I don't think so. I don't think one can really know the future enough in order to embrace it. Unless by "embracing it" you mean that you not worry about whatever is going to happen and just take it for what it is, as it comes.
Besides, what else can you do other than have your hands too full with the present? Isn't that all we really have? We don't have the future yet and the past is already gone.

We're insecure in a lot of things. Name one insecurity na meron ka. At anong pinanggalingan noon sa tingin mo.
I'm insecure about not being good enough.
This is maybe why I try to learn a lot of things. This is why I always want people to tell me what's wrong, where I went wrong, where I failed. This is also why I always try to justify myself. I try to impress people with what I know, with what I can do. Because I've seen what happens when you're not good enough - and the worst part is sometimes, they can still happen even when I think I'm good enough, and I guess that only reinforces my insecurity.
I guess I got it from always being told that all my life.

Anong bagay ang pinangarap mong i-invent noong bata ka? I'm sure meron yan.
Oh damn meron nga - being a scientist was one of my childhood dreams and I drew a lot of machines (mostly weapons and missiles and tanks and fighter jets and stuff - I was once a Tony Stark in the making).
Other than futuristic weapons, I'm pretty sure I wanted to make a flying car. Or a teleporter. Something that would make travel a lot easier.
ALSO I wanted to design video games back then. That probably doesn't count much as inventing, but if I ever stumbled upon a unique idea it would probably be an invention. I did want to (wholly or partly) set video games in the Philippines. (And that did happen with Anito.)
