If you had amnesia tomorrow, what notes would you write for yourself to remember?

I wish I could ask you how much you remember. I don't know if there will be anything left after I consume this drink. Don't be afraid. I can't tell you why, but know this. I choose to forget. Try to find comfort and strength in that fact. There is a purpose. You are my final effort to put things right. God willing, the name Alexander of Brennenburg still invokes bitter anger in you. If not, this will sound horrible. Go to the Inner Sanctum, find Alexander and kill him. His body is old and weak, and yours, young and strong. He will be no match for you. One last thing, a shadow is following you. It's a living nightmare, breaking down reality. I have tried everything and there is no way to fight back. You need to escape it as long as you can. Redeem us both. Descend into the darkness where Alexander waits and murder him.
Your former self.

"The danger is that we have come to admire celebrities more than real heroes". To what extent do you agree with this statement? Explain.

Completely.
There's real heroes in this world like our veterans, our police officers (that don't abuse their power), firefighters, and such that put their lives on the line every day, but assholes like Beiber, the Paul brothers, Trump, all celebrities that get more love and respect than them and what have they done? Nothing. Nothing even close to deserving it.

Imagine using this at night when you're half asleep and not thinking straight... https://twitter.com/Stephen_Georg/status/997630110672084994?s=19

I regret that I'm wearing headphones right now.
On the note of half asleep and hearing something, I was coming around the corner from my bathroom at like 230am once, and I'd forgotten that I'd left a video of Resident Evil VII: Biohazard playing. And right as I rounded the corner, half asleep, hearing nothing, not thinking clearly, I hear a little girl (from the game) go "Over hear mommy." Creeped me the fuck out and I woke up like immediately.

Of all the tragic casualties we got, which ones did you expect, and not expect to happen?

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
I fully expected Vision, but was not prepared for how brutal his death actually was. Just...goddamn man.
I figured either Nebula or Gamora would die fighting Thanos, but I did not see Gamora's death happening that way. And that was heartbreaking.
Pretty much everyone who vanished I did not expect. Especially all the new guys. Except Fury. I actually wanted him to get killed since he hasn't appeared in like...six movies, and he hasn't done anything useful since The Winter Soldier. Let the old vet rest in peace.
One that I did not expect at all that hit me hard was Spider-Man. Everyone I talked to said Spider-Man shocked them and hit them hard. It was hard watching him die a second time, and it made my girlfriend cry.

In your opinion, what were the funniest, saddest, and most awesome parts of the film?

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
Funniest: Tony inviting Wong to the wedding, Okoye wanting a Starbucks in Wakanda, Drax pretending he could be invisible, and his reaction when Mantis ruins it, Tony vs Strange snark battles, Nick Fury start to say "Motherf[ucker]" before he vanishes, Peter Dinkalage towering over all the other characters despite being the shortest cast member.
Awesome: The Battles of Wakanda and Titan, getting to see the iconic moment of the finger snap that wipes out half the universe.
Saddest: Where to begin? The lead up to Gamora's death, watching Wanda have to kill the one person she loves, think she's won, then see him come back, only to watch him die again and they fail to stop the bad guy, Parker disappearing in front of Tony after begging him to not let him die and then apologizing for failing him (ok my heart hurts thinking about this again), watching everyone's looks of shock and horror as people disappear before their very eyes.

How did you feel about the interactions between each new and old hero? Were there any characters that you were hoping to meet that didn't?

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
Seeing Tony and Strange together was one I'd wanted since seeing Doctor Strange. It's Marvel's two biggest snarkiest douchebags in the same room. What's not to love?
I wanted a little more of a reunion between Widow and Banner, but there's not really much left to say for their story. He left her. That's that.
I can't really think of any characters I wanted to see together that didn't happen. If there was I don't remember.

What did you think of the Battle of Titan and Battle for Wakanda? And which fight did you prefer?

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
The Battle of Wakanda was a grand spectacle. One that rivals the Battle of Pelennor Fields from The Return of the King for me. And that's good thing.
The Battle of Titan felt a lot more personal to me. Which was a stark, and welcome, contrast to Wakanda. To fight Thanos head on needed a more personal fight.
I can't really choose between them. But if I had to, I'd say the fight on Titan. Just for how personal it got. Plus, Thanos threw a fucking moon at them. A moon!

Which Infinity Stone did you think was the coolest while being used by Thanos?

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
I'd say each of them had their own moments to shine.
Power Stone-When he used it to just toss all the heroes aside on his stride towards Vision.
Space Stone-Using it to phase the Hulkbuster into those rocks.
Reality Stone-Using it to trick Gamora into thinking she killed him, and then using it to change Star-Lord's gun into bubbles. I also liked that nice one-liner after that. "I like you." So Star-Lord can rest knowing dad approves of him for Gamora.
Soul Stone-Letting Thanos come face to face with Gamora again. Bringing back both the pain of her loss and the humanity in him.
Time Stone-Using it to resurrect Vision for that heartbreaking end.
Mind Stone-He didn't really use this one, outside of combining it with the others to wipe out half the universe.

Alright, now that we've had some time to let Infinity War sink in us, Imma do that thing you did with me for TLJ, and spam you a bunch of interesting questions about the film. Prepare thyself, but take your time before answering.

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
I wondered why my phone was being spammed all of a sudden. I thought "Surely he doesn't have this much to say about the new EMH vid" but I'm happy it's Marvel related. I'm all for that. I was in the middle of a siege in Shadow of War. I'm almost done with the game. Just gotta retake Minas Morgul tomorrow morning (or tonight) and I'm finished.

How did you feel about Hulk's refusal to come out for the entire movie minus the beginning?

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
I'm glad it continues the arc we got in Thor: Ragnarok. Hulk and Banner are becoming two distinct people. Hulk is no longer Banner's alter if you will. He has his own will and makes his own choices. And it's interesting to see Hulk afraid. Which he is. He got his ass handed to him and doesn't want to come out again because of it. I'm looking forward to seeing how this dynamic between them continues in Avengers 4.

What did you think of the Black Order/Children of Thanos both as individual characters and as a group?

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
I thought they were really cool looking in terms of design. There's not much to talk about in ways of individual characters, as they all died in the same movie they appeared in. But they fulfilled their roles. They were disciples of Thanos meant to aid his quest in gathering the Infinity Stones, and were mini bosses leading up to the main boss. If they'd have all been together maybe they would have survived, but I'm happy with how it went.
I did read one fan theory that maybe Proxima was going to be revealed as Drax's daughter (and maybe eventually become Moondragon [Drax's daughter in the comics]) which would have been interesting, but I'm happy with the roles they had.

Are your parents married, divorced or do you hardly even know them? How has it affected your life?

Divorced. Doesn't bother me.

What were your general thoughts on Thanos as a character? Were you expecting him to be as complex and interesting as he was since the beginning, or were you taken by surprise?

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
Thanos is my favorite Marvel villain, so imagine the fanboy delight when he appeared at the end of The Avengers. And he is my favorite of the films villains as well. I could not be happier with how they did him.
In the comics he is unapologetically evil. Which is why we love him, me and S. So giving him emotions, and even giving him a motivation that actually makes sense and have him be right (as fucking crazy as it is) for the films was a wondrous surprise. Yes, I said it. Thanos is right. As crazy as it sounds.
If Thanos dies in Avengers 4 I will miss him, but his role in Infinity War and Avengers 4 makes him the best villain they've had, and probably ever will. And I'm glad he basically got his own movie. I consider Infinity War to be his film, not the Avengers. In this one they are the antagonists and he is our protagonist. I felt that way since my first viewing.

How did you feel about the Red Skull's return, and what do you think of his new role as the Soul Stone's guardian?

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
I did not see it coming. In fact, a week before I'd made a blog post about unfinished business from Phase One of the MCU and his fate was on there. If he's free from his confinement on Vormir I'd love to see his return.
If he's strictly the guardian, it's fitting given his story arc. He sought out the power, failed, and was forced to guard it, forever out of his reach. But I'd love to see him return to Earth. Maybe get a Secret Empire story going. But with Cap probably dying in Avengers 4 and HYDRA basically wiped out I don't see that happening.

Do you think Star-Lord and Thor's fatal mistakes in the film were justified?

FloatingQuaker’s Profile PhotoFloatingQuaker
Star-Lord was in an intense emotional state, so I can't really fault him for that.
As for Thor, his mistake was giving in to his revenge. He went for the heart so he could gloat to Thanos about how he swore he'd kill him. His need for revenge blinded him. So I can't really fault him either.
But here's what makes me think it's all necessary; Doctor Strange saw every possible future. He had to have known Gamora was dead, and what Star-Lord would do when he found out. Which means he let it happen. Also remember he said he'd let Tony and Parker die before giving up the Time Stone. But then he pulls a complete 180 and begs Thanos to spare Tony. There was no reason for the change in Strange's behavior. Unless Tony is needed to help them win in the end. Which meant letting Thanos win first.

Can intellect outweigh attractive looks?

Yes. But it is wasted on those with a poison personality. As is looks.
