What does comfort mean to you?

Comfort is a warm hug from a friend. And the hope of a brighter tomorrow than there is today. Kind words from friends.
And the sounds of music without words.

I just would like to let everyone one know that Mark Hamill has decided to start reading some of Donald Trump's tweets as The Joker. No, I'm not making this up.

It is intriguing.
That's one of the things I love about Star Wars. You can draw and interpret so many things from it. While fantastical in its own right, there are a lot of down to earth concepts that we all can face from time to time in our lives.
I especially love drawing on things related to Anakin's descent to the dark side. Yes is it somewhat marred by the fact he was portrayed as a whiny brat? Yeah. But ultimately Anakin's descent is a human one. When presented with similar scenarios, who is to say we wouldn't follow the same path? I myself have admitted I will fight, die, or even kill for those I love. I've never been put in that scenario though.
But the concept of the fear of death is pretty relevant in Star Wars. And the two opposing ideologies of the Light and Dark sides are how people deal with death. Do we try and conquer it (the dark side) do we accept it (light side) or can we find ways to transcend it? I personally feel we can. I believe in ghosts. In spirits. We can exist past death. I see death as a transition from one stage of existence to the next. It's not the end. It's a beginning. It is said energy cannot be destroyed. It takes on other forms. I feel life is the same way. Life cannot be destroyed. It can only change. We transcend from this mortal form to something else.
But back to Vader, to deny and fight death is to ultimately destroy ourselves. It's like fighting time. Or the Earth's rotation. Or the need to breathe. It cannot be done. Death comes for us all. His refusal to accept it ultimately destroys him. And those around him. It killed the Jedi, his friendship with Obi-Wan (and eventually Obi-Wan himself) and most importantly it killed the one he loved most. The entire reason he fought. All that was left was anger, pain, hatred. That is Vader. That is the dark side.
Star Wars (and the prequels) offer so much depth and analysis if we just look hard enough.
It's just a shame they couldn't have been better movies. Again, not terrible. But could have been better. Especially in regards to the love between Anakin and Padme, which was a big part of this video.

Just found this article about MLK that I thought you would be interested in. Thoughts? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2407403/Sex-tapes-FBI-smears-double-life-human-saint-The-Martin-Luther-King-story.html

The man did a lot of good for the people.
Was he a saint? Clearly not. But was he still a good man, absolutely. He wanted to help end injustice and segregation against people of different skin color. A fight that's still being fought you ask me.
We are all too human. We have our flaws. Doesn't make us wholly evil. Nor our good deeds wholly good. All we can be is who we are. We live with our decisions. Accept the consequences.
He left behind a tremendous legacy. Think that's all that can be said of the man.

@FloatingQuaker and @TribeTwelveReversed Here is what became of your good vibes:

gabrielsyler33’s Profile PhotoWolf
The good vibes were I believe either for going to see someone I work with, or actually going to her house. More inclined to think it was the former. The former bombed. Big time. But, your good vibes produced something else.
I now have a really good friend. One that trusts me as much as I trust her. She has been nothing but good to me. And honestly guys, I feel better than I have in years. I can't even describe her or what she makes me feel. I'll say it, I'm happy. For the first time in a long time. I'm happy.
We aren't dating or anything like that. We admitted we like each other, and we aren't opposed to dating if that's where this goes, but we're just going to go along the ride and see where we go in life.
I'm in awe of what this woman has done in such a short amount of time that I've known her.
I can only hope and pray I'm as good to her as she has been to me. She says I am. Hopefully it stays that way.
Thank you both for the good vibes gents. You're awesome.

Do your parents like the music you listen to?

Don't really listen to music with my parents. I usually just listen to whatever they're listening to. We have similar tastes. I've branched out a bit as proven by the last answer I did.

Would you rather continue your life as it is or start it over?

You know, I've often considered this question. Or a variation. Creating a Flashpoint. Fixing something I've done. Restarting things. But I can't help and think, what would I lose by doing things over? Are things great? No. Could things have gone better? Yes. But is what I've gained from it worth it? Absolutely. So I'll keep going down this path. Hopefully with those I've gained with me.

When looking back to 2016, which are the most memorable events you have experienced?

The American Wake Tour, meeting my new friend Britt (which reminds me, @FloatingQuaker and @TribeTwelveReversed that I never told you guys what became of your good vibes and I am so sorry I'm a piece of shit for not doing so), and of course all the time I've spent with my friends. Both in my daily life and on here.

finished arkham city today. joker has met his demise and the last catwoman episode is completed. maybe i'll get around on finishing the side quests and dlc stuff someday.

Congrats.
Quite possibly still one of my favorite games ever. And no more a fitting end for Joker.
I remember a lot of the side quests is just going to the right place after a certain point. Deadshot, Hush, and Azrael are all like that.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news my fellow Star Wars fan, but it appears that we have lost Princess Leia. Rest in peace, Carrie Fisher.

My dad just texted me.
I'm stunned. And now it's quiet in here. Just the clacking of my keyboard.
If you're a fan of anything, eventually you reach that point where you are just minding your business and you see something on the news, read something, or someone texts you and says an artist (filmmaker, writer, actor/actress, musician, whatever) whose work you've enjoyed a lot has died. And even though you don't know them personally (or hell if you're really lucky you might) it still hits you. Then the works they've done is all that's left of them.
Rest in Peace, Carrie Fisher. You were a terrific actress and you've inspired people the world over.
May you rest in the Kingdom of God and have become one with the Force.

So Vin can see the hidden vids now. Huh. Think it had to do with him killing himself?
Also, he's talking about people getting things in the mail. Is this a recent development or is he referring back to the Trials again? I wish he'd have given a link to what he's talking about. But ah well. Beggars can't be choosers.
So HABIT is still holding him hostage, and has something big planned for next year. "New Year, new me." Is there a chance he could mean literally? Not that I want this, but could HABIT be jumping to another body? Or is he meaning more metaphorically? Or meaning Vinnie?
Guess we'll wait and see.
