Equity or Community?

Community. The one At which I'm currently in a show is one of the largest within 2 hours of my area!

Do you have a theatre near you?

There are several theatres in my area! I act at two of the more well known ones they are each 45 minutes away from where I live.

Have you ever talked to someone from Billy Elliot?

A girl who was on the national tour followed my Instagram a while ago but I don't remember if I've ever talked to any of them. Why?

Have you ever kiked someone on Broadway or on a Broadway tour? Would you ever want to?

I've never kiked them but I have talked to several people currently on broadway or on tour on twitter! Some even follow me! But I think I would rather meet them face to face than kik them!

oh my gosh there's a production to it close where I live, do you live in PA?!?

Haha no:) but with the rights to non-professional theatres only being released in June, I'm sure there are a TON of theatres doing it!

Wait who did you play in Shrek?? :D

I was in the ensemble but it didn't work out. I left the show after a few rehearsals. But I still have friends in it and plan to go see it!

Thank you! I still have a while to decide, the audition is in December. Thanks again! :)

Your welcome!

Thoughts about next to normal?

It's a neat story and I love some of the songs! I Am The One reprise gets me every time!

yay! My school is doing Shrek this year, and I reeeeeally want to be Teenage Fiona. For my audition, do you think I should sing the part of the song that she sings, or should I sing Watch What Happens from Newsies because it's longer and they'd hear more of my voice? Sorry if that made noooo sense!

If they want you to song a song from the musical, sing Teen Fiona's part. If they haven't said that they want you too sometimes it's not a great idea to song a song from the musical you are auditioning for. If you can really song Watch What Happens well then go for it. If you belt, show that off with whatever song you choose. ((Tip: When I auditioned from shrek I chose a Sutton Foster song)) but you choose something you feel comfortable with and that you can sing well. Hope this helps!

I have a two-part audition question, so the first one: are you familiar with the song I Know It's Today from Shrek the Musical?

I am!

If you were to give someone a tour of your hometown, where would you take them first?

The art district

I know not all theatre guys are gay but why are so many attracted to the stage?

I'm not sure, but I believe that the stage is a place where you can really be yourself and release your emotions and that's everyone not just those who may be gay! Maybe that's why...

I know it's like apples and oranges, but do you like Jean Valjean or Javert better?

I like valjean because he completely turns his life around and really strives to do what's right no matter the cost but if I were a boy I would want to play Javert because of the many layers of his character! And your right! It's a hard question!

I'm auditioning for Spring Awakening in the Fall. I'm an 18 year old woman and I sing an alto and mezzo soprano. I think I could pull off any role but I'd like professional guidance on what role I should pursue. Which role do you think would fit me best?

Well I wouldn't consider myself as being able to give professional guidance but http://www.stageagent.com/Shows/View/3913 has a character breakdown of the show with voice parts and age range. This has helped me when deciding what roles to audition for!
