I really want to audition for this show, but I don't know any of my rehearsal times or dates yet, so I don't know if it conflicts with anything. Should I audition anyway, and if I get in, would it be acceptable to drop out if I absolutely had to?
Audition but ask of they can let you know the rehearsal schedule and let them know any conflict you think you could possibly have:)

What drinks do you recommend? I've been practicing like crazy and my throat hurts a bit. :/ It' a belty song, but I got it! ^^
Gargle warm salt water, drink warm water with lemon. Throat coat tea is wonderful.
Also, don't drink this right before you sing but warm juice is very soothing to the throat.

Tell them that marshmallows do work. When I have a sore throat I stock up on marshmallows and its great cause they just make your voice alright again.. I love using marshmallows on my voice.

I've never heard that. I don't know if that's true or not. But I do know that I try not to eat a lot of sugar before I sing

I'd say for Elle use a monologue said by another "blonde" character. And for so much better, BREATHE! Breath is so so so important for this song so you can make it powerful!
