Are you a soprano or alto?

Soprano. I prefer to sing mezzo but my choir teacher usually puts me at Soprano 1 :/

Show you think is overrated?

Rent. I really have nothing against it, I just think there are other shows out there just as good.

Do a blog post about stage kisses!!

Thanks for your input! I'll add that to my list! Hope you've been enjoying my blogs!

I have a huge crush on a guy in my cast, but he's three years older than me and he may be moving to New York to pursue acting soon. What should I do?

If he feels the same way about you, I mean you could try long distance relationship, however if you don't want to risk it, don't pursue it. But relationships are all about risks right? But really it's up to you! Good luck!

I am an underage girl in a show of mostly adult men and they make sexual jokes that make me very uncomfortable. I usually respond with wit and humor that shuts them up for the time being but it does bother me. Is this considered sexual harassment? Any ideas on what to do about it?

Yes, if you are hearing it and don't want too, or if it is making you uncomfortable, it is sexual harassment. They have no excuse to be making those remarks. Especially considering you are a minor. Please don't ignore it any longer. Please talk to your parents and your director so they can take action. This does not need to continue. However, if it does, please leave the show, you do not deserve to be in that kind of environment. Theatre is to be enjoyed, not filled with harassment. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!

I'm in the lion king and got the role of nala. The guy playing simba is really nice but is so awkward and I am having trouble " falling in love " with him. It is very very very awkward. Do you have advice?

Just try to get to know him better. go out of your way. Even if it means getting together outside of rehearsal. Not necessarily on a date but just to get to know him better. You can even go somewhere in a group, like with some others from your cast!
Do your best to act like you are falling in love with him and hopefully y'all will get more comfortable with one another as rehearsals go on.

An only guy in a cast with me recently confessed his love to me and I turned him down because I have a lovely long term boyfriend and frankly am not interested. It's making rehearsals awkward now. Any advice?

Make it clear to the boy why you said no. Hopefully he will get that it is nothing against him. If he doesn't, let it go and focus on your rehearsals and the show you are working on. Move on and treat him as you did before he made his move.

I think it's a really interesting concept. When did the older version of Amy come in?

Older Amy comes in during act 2 when Amy returns from Europe with Aunt March. It works out really well! Thank you for reading my blog!

You said in your blog you play Young Amy in Little Women. Was there a young and older version of any other character? They typically don't do that in Little Women right? I played Beth in my production and there was only one person playing each character.

Amy was the only character they double cast. I have heard of different productions doing both. I think it depends on who they have audition and what their vision is for the show.

Suggestion for an audition song for Gomez in The Addams Family?

What about friend like me- Aladdin, bottom line- newsies, wonderful- wicked, or be like the bluebird-anything goes? Break a leg!

Audition songs for a mezzo soprano hoping to audition for any female role in Spamalot?

So sort I'm just getting to this:(
So, not gonna lie, but, I'm really not that familiar with this show (I know right?!?! Shameful!)
But go with something that makes you shine. Something that showcases your voice well.
Look for something the panel is familiar with but isn't going to hear 50,000 times that day!
Break a leg!

In the show I'm in we're basically just plowing through it. It's really dance heavy so we learn like, 2-3 dances a day. They're not hard, just fast. I've been having trouble keeping up and leaning the choreography. Any tips other than practice because that's not doing much for me as of now.

Record the dance at rehearsal so you have a reference to look at when you are practicing at home. Break a leg!

I used to be really enthused about theatre and a super hard-worker, but lately I just haven't been feeling the same way. I still love it but not as much as I used to. I've been slacking off a lot, getting lazy, not memorizing, etc. Is this normal?

Everyone sometimes hits a slump. I went through one about 2 years ago and I felt awful. Sometimes you do just need to take a break to reflect and make sure it is what you really want to do. You might still love it but maybe you don't want to do it all the time anymore. Nothing is wrong with taking a little break!

What are your favorite things to do to keep you occupied? And what are things to do away from the house that you enjoy?

NETFLIX and I really enjoy reading! Away from home I mostly spend my time doing theatre (obviously!) and school!

What is the #castme ?

Followers send me photos of themselves and I tell them what character from a musical I think they look like:) still open if you would like to participate!

... You also have to really focus in gestures. This is what I've struggled with the most you need to watch young actors or little kids and try to imitate them to get the feel of it all.. if you have any tips I would love them! thanks

Wow thank you! And break a leg on Jane! That is such a cute role! These are some really great tips! I am 17 and will be playing young Amy March in Little Women the Musical and I will be sure to use these! Something I've thought of ding that I also used at my callback was just being very bubbly and bouncy. Like I want her to be cute but not obnoxious! Thanks for all your tips!
