I get realllllly quiet and nervous singing in front of people. But I'm loud and confident singing on my own. How do I not be quiet?

Believe that you are good and that the people watching you want you to succeed and if they don't well your not performing for them! Confidence is key!

Do you think Shy would be okay to sing when auditioning for Audrey from Little Shop if Horrors?

I just realized that I read the question wrong when I first answered! Sorry! Shy isn't what I would suggest but it may work!

I'm auditioning for the part of Ellie in Step on a Crack. She's a younger child who is very imaginative. Do you have any recommendations for a monologue?? Please and thank you!

I would suggest monologues from cinderella, alice in wonderland, because of Winn-Dixie or phoebe in wonderland. All are about very imaginative girls and a few of them involve widowed fathers and stepmothers!

Thanks. I still think you can song the song in a way that truly does show shyness but you can belt. Gertrude is like this she is shy and awkward but she still belts!but it's really up to them

Ugh! Shy is not a good audition song for Gertrude. First of all, Gertrude truly is shy and the song shy is a joke because she belts it.

While Gertrude is shy she is still a belter. The song can be sung in such a way that you can show shyness yet also show off your belt. It's their choice though.
