What are the reasons you are not friends anymore with people who were your friends?
I rarely close doors on people who used to be friends, but a great way to get me to cut you out of my life is to demand I change my behavior to suit your comfort, and then Vaguebook about me when I don't comply.
Do you agree with the saying that a problem shared is a problem halved?
Depending on the person, it could be a problem doubled.
My very favorite movies are 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY and HEATHERS. How "classic" or "old" they are depends on one's point of view.
Have you ever smoked cigarettes?
Not regularly.
Have you ever shaved your armpit or butt?
Nope.
Have you ever taken drugs?
Only if caffeine, alcohol, and prescribed meds count.
How did you celebrate the Easter?
Church, wedding, and trip to Ikea.
Do you feel like a leader, or a follower?
I've been paid in the past to be either, but I don't really FEEL like a leader or follower. Left to my own devices I would rather blaze my own trail and not upset too many people in the process.
Beef steak, tuna steak or Portobello mushroom steak?
I would identify all of these as food. Is that the question?
Do you try to look attractive when you go to the local grocery store?
Only that one time when I bought Shiner wearing my Chewbacca onesie.
What's the best dating advice you have?
Have fun, be yourself, be kind to your date and everyone you meet, and don't go in with ANY expectations. (If there is to be anything further, your date will make it obvious.)
How do you like to start your morning?
Sleeping until the afternoon.
How much do you weight?
Too much.
What are the top 3 things that scare you?
Climate change, nuclear proliferation, and blind nationalism.
Heineken or Guinness?
I've enjoyed both, but I'm more of a Guinness person.
Have you ever been in a long-distance relationship?
Yes. But I married her, so the long distance part didn't last too terribly long.
When was the last time you cursed?
This morning probably.
What makes someone attractive?
Intelligence and shared interests.
Are you scared of the dark?
Generally, no, but there was one long hallway in our last apartment that tended to creep me out.
How much are you ready to pay for a T-shirt?
Depends on the artwork. But if it's over $20, I usually move on.
Shower or bath?
Which one involves the blood of my enemies again?
Color of the day!
I'll see your day and raise you a year in a futile attempt to draw attention to environmental concerns.
What is the most serious problem in the world?
Not enough of us care about the environment. There's no time to continue debating climate change as icebergs melt. The data is in: our climate is changing and humans are causing it. We could mitigate at least some of the worst effects if we quit bickering and redirect that effort and energy into solutions.
Have you ever taken the subway? If yes, how often?
Never. The "tube" is one thing I regret not checking off my list during my only visit to London.
