What’s the funniest password you have used in the past?
Are you phishing?
Who's the person that inspires you to be better?
My wife, Angelie.
Is reputation important for a person nowadays?
Yes.
How life been treating ya?
This is too complex a question for an INFP.
Do you think money rules love and everything else?
I wouldn’t say that money “rules love” or “rules everything,” but the lack of money can make those things impractical after the excitement has died down. That said, go for what you want in life and go be with those you love. In a perfect world, money shouldn’t be a factor in either of those things and there are ways around it if you try.
What's the first thing you notice in a person of the opposite gender?
Does she have food? Is she willing to share her food with me? But I suppose that’s what I notice regardless of gender.
Favorite genre for acting/directing?
Science fiction, hands down. Houston area productions of sci-fi stage plays tend to be rare, so I consider myself extremely fortunate to play the Doctor for Texas Renaissance Festival. Directing opportunities for sci-fi are also pretty rare, so when asked to direct radio drama I tend to go for things like WAR OF THE WORLDS, LIGHTS OUT, or X MINUS ONE.
What are your plans for this weekend?
TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL, BABY!
Favorite summer memory?
From this summer: beach house weekend with my wife and some friends. From childhood: probably similar experience with grandparents on Padre Island.

Gaining weight.
You are fine as wine
Just hopefully not cardboardeaux. 😉
Besides you, of course, what are the don't miss acts at the TRF this season?
If you can swing it, THE KING'S FEAST. It can be pricey, but a great value for what you're getting. All you can eat courses of great food, all you drink beer & wine, and a two hour show with the hysterical and fantastic Bordello Sisters. It also includes your ticket into the festival and a commemorative drinking vessel. www.kingsfeast.com
Do you actually play the guitar or are you just doing it for the giant slugs?
I'll just say that Jared Barnes (Henry VIII) is WAY WAY better at it than me. But the slugs are a great motivator to improve.
how is ur fall? :)
The heat doesn't make it feel like autumn yet, but Texas Renaissance Festival has started, so I'm doing pretty well. You?
Can you leave your native land and move to another city for the sake of a loved one?
I *sort of* did that. I lived in Austin for a short period of time, but came back to my "native land" to close the distance on a long distance relationship. Good thing too - I married her.
Lis Sladen - great actress! Follow up: favorite old-school doctor and favorite new (9-13) Doctor?
Yikes! This is like asking me to choose a favorite limb. Depending on what mood I'm in, I enjoy all of the classic Doctors. But if I had to choose just one, it would be Tom Baker. He was my Doctor growing up; my introduction to this whole universe. When I started in the 80s, watching DOCTOR WHO was unlike anything else. It was just so very different from American sci-fi shows. And Tom was my guide through this adventure. I still love how he can go from making jokes and politely chatting with villains to authoritative angry indignation on behalf of those he's defending at the drop of a hat. It was madness in a good way. Saving the universe was fun, and you could totally believe in him as an alien who cared about humanity. In fact, I'm pretty sure Tom Baker IS an alien who just decided to enjoy Earth for a few decades. (That said, I rewatch a LOT of Jon Pertwee too. 😉)I enjoy all the new Doctors also. I find Peter Capaldi's Doctor fascinating, and like Christopher Eccelston, seriously underrated by fans. I love Matt Smith's frenetic style his youth brought to the mix. I wish we could've seen more of John Hurt's War Doctor. But if I have to choose one new Doctor, it's David Tennant. The man is a genius actor and the new show really hit its stride with him as the lead. His Doctor was given a balance of humor, romance, whip-smart dialogue and Tennant pulled it all off brilliantly. He was the "cool" Doctor and probably the most humanist. Also, his season with Catherine Tate really felt like classic Who to me, in a way we don't really get again until Capaldi. Annnnnnd... since you included THIRTEEN in your question, I will say I can't wait to see what Jodie Whittaker does! I'm super excited and have been curious about a female Doctor since the 80s.
