Are you asking, hypothetically, is it okay to have one? If so, it really depends on the friend. I believe the parameters of any friendship is okay, as long as all parties involved are okay with it and not being abused or taken advantage of.
I would be careful here though. From the people I know who have been in this situation, there’s almost always one friend who wants this arrangement more than the other.

He probably already knows. Just tell him. A real friendship will last whether or not he loves you back in that way. And at least then, you’ll have tried instead of spending your life wondering if it could’ve worked.

I don’t hate shopping but I don’t think of it as something I greatly enjoy. I don’t like crowds much, so whatever shopping we can do online, we will, especially around the holidays.
The rest of the time, enjoyment is directly related to how much time we can spend in brick and mortar stores we actually like. I’m sad that independent bookstores are vanishing, so my enjoyment is less and less every year.
