What always sounds like a good idea but never actually is?

Ali_AK47’s Profile PhotoHasbulla Magomedov
Have you seen that movie named 'Friends With Benefits'? If not, just to outline the plot of that movie. A hot boy and a s*xy girl finds each other attractive enough to spend some time together but didn't want to stay in a committed relationship which can bound them with some responsibilities and commitments to each other. So they ended up with friends with benefits where you have fun, basically casual s*x, roam around, watch movies and so on.
Now here comes a pact: You need to saystrict noto emotions if you don't want to enroll yourself into serious relationship with each other.
FWB is totally fine until you (both) are open-minded to explore s*xuality, not having any relationship with anyone at the moment and quite sure about marriage you want to do with (your parent's choice or someone else but not each other). In all other cases, you might end up creating mess and hurting at least two. That too, badly.
So beware of cheating under cover of FWB.

Aren't we too old to be depressed?

Depression does not ask for your age before taking a rule over you, It can happen at any age. The signs of depression don’t look the same in everyone; in fact, they can vary quite a bit from one person to another, and especially from one age group to another.
Children: Depression isn’t common in children under 12, but it does occur. Along with feeling sad or hopeless, common signs include problems at school, a loss of interest in fun activities, changed eating habits, weight gain or loss, clinginess, anxiety, difficulties with family members, and avoiding school and social activities.
Teens: Wide mood swings are normal in those ages 12 to 18, but to be on the lookout for depression. Watch for mood changes that last longer than a few weeks; problems at school, home or with friends; unusual levels of irritability and lashing out; feelings of worthlessness, anger and extreme sensitivity; sleeping or eating too much; avoiding friends and others; a loss of interest in activities; or self-harm behaviors such as cutting and alcohol or drug use.
Young Adults: Ages 19 to 29 sometimes develop depression due to major life transitions, lack of support in new environments, lack of coping skills, relationship issues, poverty, trauma, work issues and more.
Midlife Adults: Ages 30 to 60 tend to have a lot going on that can trigger depression: caring for children as well as aging parents, financial stress, isolation, work and relationship issues, menopause and perimenopause, dealing with major illnesses, and lots of responsibilities with no relief in sight.
Senior Adults: Depression is not a normal part of growing older, but it is all too common—and is frequently overlooked and left untreated.
Symptoms in seniors include trouble sleeping, fatigue, sadness and anxiety, trouble focusing or making decisions, and mood changes that don’t let up (grief over losing a loved one, for example, should ease eventually). Physical aches and pains are often signs of depression.

Reminder?⚡

My manifesto for an amazing life:
I am strong! I've gone through hell and kept walking. I know my weaknesses.
I am worthy! It took me a long time to believe that. I felt my unworthiness.
I am beautiful! And no one needs to convince me of that anymore. I've seen my ugliness.
I am me! And I love me for exactly who I am, imperfections and all.

Say something cool.

saiha4495’s Profile PhotoCY
Just because someone desires you, does not mean that they value you.
Read it over. Again.
Let those words resonate in your mind.
There is a big difference between the two.
Think, think, think.
Let the thought sink in your mind.
A feel of being wanted; is just temporary, you might not hold the same value later on.

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.

Is it better to be loved or feared?

sharmaranveer’s Profile PhotoRanveer Sharma
I would prefer to be loved.
Why?
Because love is a great feeling that overpowers fear. Love is stronger than to be feared upon. To be feared upon is to have insecurities to make yourself feel better. Having insecurities is like having an abandoned wooden bridge that sways over a waterfall. It does not hold well when you lean against the bridge.
As for love, it is a very strong bond that is unbreakable when two people trust and love each other unconditionally. Love’s bond is harder than diamond. Therefore, even the slightest hit of a pick-axe won’t cause their bond to break.
From being loved, you can gain a source of happiness, companionship, etc. From being feared, you gain nothing, but the loss of your friends, co-workers, etc. Fear is weak, love is strong.

Why time is important?

Once, Buddha was asked “What is the biggest mistake we make in life?” he replied,” The biggest mistake is, we think we have time.”
Do you know the reality of the life span of a person?
An average person lives about 75-80 years. We spend about 25 years of our life sleeping (excluding only a few). That’s a big number which accounts for almost one-third of our entire life, but still, 30% of us struggle to sleep well. We spend about 8 years of our life in social media and internet, about 4 years eating and drinking, about 4 years in education, about 2 years grooming (personal care), about 2 years shopping, about 1 year in child care, about 1-1/2 years traveling, about 6 years doing chores and about 10 years working. That leaves us with only about 10 years. How are we going to spend it?
ALWAYS REMEMBER:
“Time is free, but it is priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it.
You can’t keep it, but you can spend it.
And once it is lost you can never get it back.”
Realize the value of each second of the day:
Every day 86,400 seconds are deposited into our life account. At the end of the day, once they’re all used up, we get another new 86,400 seconds to start a new day.
Likewise, imagine we wake up every day with $86,400 in our bank account, and at the end of the day, it’s all gone whether we spent it or not. And then the next day we get another $86,400. What would we do with it? We want to make its best use, Is it? We don’t like to waste it if it’s money, so why do we waste it when it comes to time? Time is more precious than those dollars. Those seconds are so much power that you can make more dollars but you can’t make more time using dollars.

Post something on Father's day!

ManasviKoshiy’s Profile PhotoManasvi koshiy
The depth of a father's love shows in his daughter's eyes,
What's known is what's shown from sunset to sunrise,
A foundation built on more than just what is spoken,
It's commitments kept and promises that go unbroken,
An emotion so immense that nothing in this world can erase,
The permanent impression of love is tattooed upon her face,
A relation so peculiar that only the two can understand,
Yet so immaculate it's obvious that, by God, it was planned.
Happy Father's Day

Waiting for?🎈

I'm waiting for the day when there would be no terrorism in the world and only peace exists.
I'm waiting for the day when there is no single person in the world who have starved for days.
I'm waiting for the day when some researcher would find a medicine to cure HIV.
I'm waiting for the day when there would be no religion and only one god to all human beings.
I'm waiting for the day when there will be no child being abused physically or mentally and every child in world gets adequate education.
I'm waiting for the day where there would be no natural calamities or pandemics like Covid-19 in future.
I'm waiting for the day when there will be no corruption in politics.
I'm waiting for the day when no body will be judged at all.
I'm waiting for the day when we will unite without any sort of discrimination.
I'm waiting for the day when everyone in the world will get justice on time and the real culprits will get punished severely instead of the innocent ones.
Finally,
I'm waiting for the day when positivity will rule over all the negativity.
