The only thing that you have control is your mind and your body. Everything else is decided by a bunch of people and external conditions. If you are truly happy, no one else can snatch it from you.
You can be the most beautiful person in the world and everybody sees light and rainbows when they look at you but if you yourself don’t know it, all of that doesn’t even matter. Every second that you spend on doubting your worth, every moment that you use to criticize yourself; is a second of your life wasted, is a moment of your life thrown away. It’s not like you have forever, so don’t waste any of your seconds, don’t throw even one of your moments away.
The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. Try to believe in yourself and the timing of your life.

My GOAL in this life is “SATISFACTION” that I have lived a life. I'm neither expecting my life to be peaceful nor happy, because l have realized—
1. Without PAIN there is no PLEASURE.
2. Without HATRED there is no LOVE.
3. Without DISSATISFACTION there is no CONTENTMENT.
4. Without UNHAPPINESS there is no HAPPINESS.
5.Without FAILURE there is no SUCCESS.
Without the FIRST WORD there is no meaning to the SECOND ONE. So, my ultimate goal is “TO EXPERIENCE EVERY FEELING WITH MY HEART”.
All the holy books tell the PURPOSE OF LIFE to be EVERLASTING LOVE, PEACE and HAPPINESS, but purpose need not be same as goal.

Following things might be considered cool!
Having lot of (negative) attitude. i.e. Being rude. (acting like an a**hole or a b**ch). Acting like you don't care about anything or anyone. Drinking/ Smoking (too much). Partying (regularly). Dating, S*x.
But you know what? They are not!
Following things might be considered boring!
Studying (a lot). Being gentle and kind to everyone. (Not having a so called “cool” attitude). Going to hobby classes. Reading books. Being single. Having less friends. Saying no to alcohol. Living a simple life.
But you know what? They arenot! They are actually cool. Very cool!
Recently, I celebrated my 20th birthday. I'm no more a teen now.
So what advice I would like to give to all the teenagers out there?

WHAT’S YOUR IDEA OF HEAVEN?

Heaven is Your Heart and earth is your Mind. Your body is your heaven and earth. Your body is also your Temple, and the only entrance to your temple is through your eyes. I was able to walk away from the routines of life, and I now see how small we really are in this big world. And oh! how my heart has changed, when I see things with new eyes.

Here’s the thing to do. It’s actually fairly simple, and there are three parts.
1. The first thing is to stop worrying about what you think people are going to tell you. A lot of times you tell yourself bad things about yourself, and you think everybody else sees you that way. You have conversations with those people and you assume that’s what they’re thinking but just not telling you. No. Stop. Deal with what it is that people actually tell you. Don’t try to anticipate what they are thinking about you. You will convince yourself anything. If you want to know what they think, ask them. If you’re not going to ask them, don’t assume.
2. The second thing is to do something for somebody else. They will thank you. You can always find something you can do that people will be grateful for. Do that. Receive your thanks with humility. But don’t do it for the praise, do it because you know that even if you can’t help yourself at this moment, there is some good that you can do for someone else. Of course don’t make this a habit.
3. The third thing is to ask yourself nicely to improve yourself just 1%. Give yourself time. You cannot command yourself to do everything at once. You can’t bully yourself into perfect behavior. You can gently remind yourself that you want to help you out. So how about this little thing, OK? Don’t demand, ask. Can you make your bed today? Can you spend 30 extra minutes cleaning your room this weekend? Can you give up diet soda on Friday? Can you do one pushup this week, and maybe two next week? If you are too demanding on yourself, you’re going to give up. It’s almost inevitable. If you are happy satisfying the little asks, then you might do something bigger.

Happiness is a great goal to have, and it’s something you’ll need to work toward every day. Being happy isn’t something you achieve and then hold onto — it’s a series of decisions that you make every day. Start by cultivating positivity in your life and living your life in a way that feels right to you. Additionally, spend time with positive people, connect with others, and support a healthy body and mind. However, keep in mind that mental illnesses like depression can make it hard to be happy without treatment from a mental health provider. The most sustainable form of happiness is creating a meaningful life. Take the time to understand your life’s purpose or move toward that if you don’t know what it is.Your values and your strengths are a good guide toward figuring out your life’s purpose.
Create a positive mindset.
Replace Negative Thoughts with Positive Self-Talk.
Compliment Yourself atleast once in a day.
Stop comparing yourself to others.
Look for something positive when you are facing an obstacle.
Use mindfulness to help you focus on the present.
Once you practise these regularly, you are bound to get that happy feeling that lasts so long as you practise kindness and selflessness.But once you start engaging in comparisons with others, you’ve had it.
That makes sense, since it has also been said that the intensity and nature of what you feel, think and experience, are all really relative. These are subjective states and so are bound to change when you try to measure yourself against the achievements and failures of others.
Once you wrap your head around basic values and attributes like empathy, compassion and being helpful, there are less chances of feeling low and sad. Selfish people are seldom happy, whereas those who are giving and caring, always extending themselves, are usually of a happy disposition and less likely to indulge in negative thoughts and feelings.

Sometimes I feel like ____?

Sometimes I feel like a but, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I feel like I wasted most of my life caring about the wrong people.Sometimes I wish that I still had friends of my own age and with interests similar to my own. There used to be a few friends that lived near by that I could hang out with. Not any more. They grew up and left. I on the other hand, grew up and stayed. At times it would be nice to be able to watch a movie that I like, with someone else who also likes the same movie. Most of the time I do what I do alone. And I put up with stuff I’m not interested in simply to spend time around others. There are plenty of cool people about, But I just rarely bump into them. I know of quite a few like minded people online. But not in person. And it is important to have close friends. Indeed. Yup. Right?

Who do you like to talk to when you're sad?

I park my brain in idle and play a simple game on my laptop or watch some reruns on tv. Or I sit quietly in bed just before I get really sleepy. And I use the time to think about what is disturbing my mental equilibrium. Did I make some glaring mistakes, mistreat someone? Or am I feeling alone and undeserving of happiness, for example, and why? It helps if you assign all people as basically equally deserving of happiness, because why would you assume you are some specially guilty party? What would make me happier, or is there someone out there that I envy because they seem way happier than I do? Am I letting toxic relationships with family/girl or -boy-friends/ teachers get me down? And what could I do to emulate the folks I envy that might change my life for the better?? There is a huge list, but did you get the point?

What weird smell do you really enjoy?

I am partial to certain aromas. Wouldn't call them weird, but I don't know if they are commonly liked.
The aroma of tadka in dal. (tempering in lentils)
The aroma of parathas. (Indian bread)
The aroma of mango pickle which lingers on fingers long after eating it!
The smell of freshly laundered clothes.
The smell of petrol.
The smell of freshly painted walls.
The smell of mehandi (henna)on palms.
The smell of new books. Reminds me of school days.
And lastly, the most loved smell. Petrichor! (doesn't belong to the list as it is almost universally loved. But just had to include it)

Current obsession ?

I miss the library. The holds I can place on whatever strikes my fancy. The book tasting and feasting of current obsessions. The comfort of the paper within this glass and concrete building itself. To walk the writing section and be thrilled to what I see on the shelves. The pined after short story collection that was waiting for me the day I wandered in A gift I still have because the books are sheltering in place and are practicing social distancing too. I miss the weight of the stack in my bag and my hands. The ever-changing stack next to my bed.
I can breathe in the library. A place to gather and hold.

With just one attitude - CONFIDENCE, it can change how a person looks at oneself. They learn to love, appreciate & accept who they are. Confidence makes that person become more beautiful & charming in their own way without even trying too hard. Confidence changes the way a person carry oneself, they become more ambitious, reliable & independent.
You know why models & actors are beautiful, it’s because they have confidence in themselves. They embrace all of their traits & shine. You don’t have to be on TV to shine. You can shine in your own way. Remember to have confidence in yourself & be the best you. Learn to love & accept yourself. Soon you will notice the changes within you & how people respond towards you.
Confidence is important with the balance of humbleness. No one likes someone who is snobbish. When you’re confident with yourself, don’t look down on people even when they are mean to you. Protect your dignity the right way & don’t hurt others in the process.

If you believe they are the most important person in the world that is exactly how you will make them feel. Let that authentic feeling pour out.
There is no universal blueprint the real secret is knowing and understanding the person, then you will know what is special to them and how to make them feel special.
It is a universal belief that women love to get flowers. I turn a little sad when I get flowers because they get cut and I know in a few days they will die which always seems like a waste. So somebody that knows me would give me flowers in a pot or a plant that I could cultivate - that would make me feel more special.
I would feel incredible not because of the object but because the person who gave it to me knows me and understands what is important to me. They are interested in understanding my universe and motivation. There is nothing that makes a person feel more important than being loved and accepted for who they are.

WHAT’S THE BEST GIFT YOU’VE EVER GIVEN?

The Gift of Education
My maid was a little older than me when she joined our household. One day, I found her holding a newspaper, pretending to read. I knew she had passed only class V, and in a vernacular medium, at that.
It took some doing at home, but against all resistance, I got her books in English starting from KG onwards. She picked up the language (we speak English at home) - both spoken and written and soaked it all in like a desert parched of water. She sat for her class X and XII Boards as an external student. She excelled with figures and was an ace at compiling data and making analyses. After a short course (funded by herself) in MS Office, she changed jobs.
She works as a statistician with NHRC today.

The mindset of minimum thinking. A mindset where taking action is preferred over thoughts. How many times do you look for the right visualization, goal-setting motivational content?
We all want to fix our minds and we should. But it should happen with our actions. The more time you spend thinking, the less time you have to take real action.
It’s tempting to think about how you will meet the one. Or live in that mansion. It’s not that tempting to go work on your business or approach a stranger.
But the later is the one that will get you closer.No amount of thinking will get you your goals. Whenever I am caught up in my head I bring myself to actions.
What action do I need to take to move closer to this goal? Not visualizing, no affirmations but a real action step. What are the action steps in your life?
Want to get fit? Eat a little healthier and exercise. Want to make money? Learn a skill and then trade. Want to make friends? Talk to strangers.
It doesn’t have to be more complicated than that.
