WHAT IS SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL YOU SEE EVERY DAY? It’s important to see the beauty in the small things.

The world is at a standstill. Life goes on albeit at a slow pace. The mad race is stopped in its tracks. Perhaps a time to reflect and introspect.
Beautiful things abound all about us. Nature woos us in this spring season. Trees laden with flowers, birds chirping about, flowers of all hues remind us that the world is still very beautiful.
Inanimate objects too hold their sway over us. A small cottage in the midst of greenery, the sparkling water of a lake, the magnificent stories written by writers through the ages evokes such wondrous thoughts and feelings. These are anything but beautiful.
And what to say of a beautiful woman or a handsome man . They are as pleasing to the eyes. What about the lovely paintings and the dreams that a seamstress sews in our dresses. What about our designers who create magic through their designs. And the wonderful food that the cooks churn out.
Beautiful things galore.

IF YOU DID NOT EXIST, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING NOW?

First, if the ‘did not exist’ is in absolute terms, you won’t be able to do anything.
But, if you mean ‘did not exist in Earth,’ that’s another thing.
We are immortal spirits embodied in mortal bodies. We go through a series of lives in Earth and time between death and a new birth.
So, if you ‘did not exist in Earth’ —the period between death and a new birth— you had gone back to the spiritual world.
There, you analyze your earthly life, decide what to do in your next life on Earth —you write your destiny—, select the best family and place to develop yourself and then embodied again.
(The only problem is that we forget everything at the age of 3–4 years.)

What's Changed?⚡️

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.” –Gandhi.Gandhi’s goal was to change the world in a meaningful way. He believed to do this, personal change was needed on a grand scale.
In other words, to achieve peace, you must be peaceful. To receive love, you must be loving.
You can also flip Gandhi’s viewpoint on its head. We can use inevitable life changes (like a global pandemic) to initiate personal growth and change.
We will rise to the occasion when life throws challenges our way.
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” –Rumi. This Rumi quote acknowledges the personal growth that comes from living life, making mistakes, and learning from our missteps.
When we are young, cleverness is important – a witty joke, catchy slogan, or charismatic leader’s potential impact is large. As we evolve into better versions of ourselves, we value wisdom, especially the wisdom that comes with experience, more than cleverness.
We acknowledge the need to gain an understanding of ourselves and others.
“When we are no longer able to change a situation – we are challenged to change ourselves.” –Viktor E. Frankl.Frankl, an Austrian psychologist and concentration camp survivor, believed that each person suffers in a unique way. We can never completely understand another’s suffering. He believed each challenge we face has meaning, that difficulties give us the opportunity for growth, and, most importantly, that we, as humans, get tochooseour response to adversity. That choice gives us a great deal of freedom and a great deal of responsibility.
When faced with disaster we can choose to become better people, sewing masks, donating to our local food banks, calling or texting our neighbors (especially elderly ones) to make sure they are OK, or we can help people and complain about all the personal freedoms we have lost.
Our lives, our challenges, our choice.

What's one difficulty in being a teenager ?

Shubx3’s Profile PhotoShubham Alave
There isn't just one difficulty that teenagers face throughout their lives. Here's a list of few common difficulties that the teenagers face today!
1. You want to act adult but adults don’t take you into account.
2. You want to play with kids but you find yourself to ‘aged’ to fit into their group.
3. Physical changes accompany psychological and behavioral changes. Some changes may not be accepted to the society and people around you will rebuke you for such unnecessary things.
4. You want to clad yourself in short skirts but your family (if conservative) may not allow you anymore. They may want you to behave more womanly or manly (as the case may be).
5. Neighborhood aunties and relatives start asking you when are you going to appear for your boards. If you are in class 10, they ask, “What are you going to study next: Science, right?”. You answer them, “No.” and then their facial expressions will kill you. If you’re in 12th Science student, they’ll ask, “Medical or Engineering?”. You reply them, “Want to be a science graduate.” Their facial expressions will make you think that you’re running out of your brains.
6. Two words:LOVEandINFATUATIONare going to play in your life. Rather there will be a constant duel between the two. Its like: Is he/she my love? Or just infatuation?
7. If you’re a bitintrovert(at least about falling in love, you’ll observe that your friends starting to go on dates with their significant other and you are still reading Mills and Boons books.
8. After entering college life, you tend to lose a lot of your school friends and sometimes your BFF.
9. You don’t find the Bollywood movie like ambiance in college and you’re somewhat disheartened.
10. If you are in India, you come to know what is actually RESERVATION and sits strong influence in your life ahead.
11. YOU DON’T REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE GROWN UP!

What's the best compliment you've ever received?

Asimshabbir678’s Profile Photoครเ๓รђค๒๒เг
When I started my journey on Ask.fm, There was a time when every like or follow notification made my day.I bet, you can relate too.
There is a girl on Ask.fm who liked my every answers in one go.That cherishable moment!
One fine day, I decided to leave a question to her for thanking her. We talked for a while and talking with her was like I was talking to my sister.
Whenever life dragged her down, I was there to motivate her.
One day, She said something which etched in my heart.
She: Do you know? You saved my life 2–3 times.
Me: Seriously? When?
She:I was planning to commit suicide, But you made me look positive sides of my life. Therefore I never committed suicide.
Me: Never commit suicide in your life. You don’t know your worth. You will do wonders in your life.
Everyone has problems in this world. No one is immune to suffering.
Now, she is doing awesome in her life. All credits to her determination and positive thinking.God bless her! She is none other than @as99b
I don’t know, It qualifies as a compliment or not.
Although, Whenever my life punches in my face, I think about this girl. She now works as a motivator for me. She says that “Ankita is my idol”, all those who know her might have read her her questions/ answers.
If I can motivate someone to see positive sides of life. Then what can stop me to see the ray of hope in my life!
On the contrary,
‘You saved my life 2–3 times’ - The best compliment of my life.

How much control do you really have over yourself?

The key to success is Self Control.
Yes, I completely have a control over myself. But, how?
Here, I share few steps that I follow to have a control on myself. If you can master it, then there is no stopping, because sky is the limit.
1. Set your goals, prioritize them over others.
2. work hard for your goals.
3. Set up your principles, some ground rules stick to them whatever the condition.
4. Do what you believe in, in this way you will always be willing to do more of good things.
5. Be sincere to yourself.
6. Introspect. Keep a check on yourself. Ask yourselfWhat am I doing? Am I happy?
7. Be patient, not every problem can be solved immediately in one go.
8. Be happy for what you are, sometimes it is good to settle for less good, rather than striving unnecessarily for more.
9. Divert your mind to other things.
10. Always find the positive side of negative things.

What’s the worst and best thing about being female?

shivaholic07’s Profile Photopeacefull dude
First of all being a woman is something you can be proud of, The word ‘woman’ itself has power to move mountains. Now, let's be real I'm not exaggerating things here. A few months back I cried because I was a girl and I cannot do things that boys can because your dignity and respect is in your own hand according to our so called culture, on the other hand if a boy does the same thing people say that he's a boy and nobody would judge him for his actions.
I wanted to go out with my friends frequently because everybody was doing the same thing, I wanted to do everything that a teenager wishes to do, I wanted to sip coffee at midnight with my friends and roam around the places I've never been, I wanted to fly and see the world. I saw a few of my male friends they used to roam and later on they showed me pictures of the places they've been too. My mom always taught me that nobody points finger on a boy, the society always judges the girl. People think that our country has progressed and it is way ahead of what it once was, while in reality the situation of woman might have become better but I can't see equality here.
“Vo ladka hai uska kuch nahin jayega”
“ladki ho ladki ki tarah raho ladka banane ki zaroorat nahin hai”
“acche ghar ki ladkia aesa nahi karti”
“ladki hokar esa kar rahi ho sharam nahin aati”
“ladko se barabari mat karo”
Though my words might be wrong but by now what I've seen I'm telling. But now I know that woman are stronger than men, emotionally and mentally, because whatever they face in their lives is really appreciable and they need to be respected for that. Throughout their lives they face so many hurdles at different phases and that is remarkable.
“Like a compass needle that points north, a man's accusing finger always finds a woman. Always.” —Khaled Hosseini
So, We still need a lot of change and there is a long long way to go.

What movie or book character are you most similar to?

shivaholic07’s Profile Photopeacefull dude
My personality is an amalgamation of different emotions, it has different shades of dark and light.
So obviously a single character can't really describe me,but as per views of my friends, or best friends, there are a number of roles who have resemblance to my character.
Bollywood has so many characters who resemble to my personality. The most similar till now I think is Geet (KAREENA KAPOOR from the movie JAB WE MET). Needn't define why I guess, talkative, joyous, bubbly, positive, cheerful & full of enthusiasm. We both try to live our lives to the fullest, enjoying tiny lil’things in the life, keeping maturity aside & being a lil'childish. In the bright sunshines, look for rainbows. Even we think similar.
Oops!! The main reason why she is like me is — I'M MY FAVORITE!
No matter however I am, however I look, I'm tall or short, dark or fair, overweight or underweight, I love myself.
Wait!! This is just 50% of me. I'm not a dynamo or a powerhouse! My energy and enthusiasm too fades away & dies at a level. Sometimes (though sometimes) I'm mature too.
So there's lot more hidden in that 50% of my personality, I'm a lot more in deep inside than you just see on the surface.
So, still couldn't find any character which is strongly and totally influenced by me and it can never be found cause — I'M UNIQUE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!

Are you afraid of the future?

uzzolahamed’s Profile PhotoW O L F_W A R R I O R
Live in the present. The past is past, and cannot be changed. The future might never come. The present is a gift from God, that is the reason why it is called "the present".
I try to put my money where my mouth is, as the saying goes. So no, I am not at all afraid of the future.
I was taught as a kid that God would take care of me. And I believe this. And you know what, it all works out.

Do you believe in happy ending?

Yes, it exists and will always exist. Being happy is very different from projection of happiness. If people are happy with themselves then they can connect with other easily.
In a relationship, both people decide to be together irrespective of the situation. As long as the will to be together is strong, living happily is not a dream. Living happily ever after is a continuous achievement for general public but a continual process for the two souls involved in the relationship.
In today’s times where the word ‘‘Independence’ is considered as an antonym of ‘‘interdependence”. This mentality has to be updated and replaced by mutual respect for each other. When both develop a sense of respect for each other, their individual uniqueness is immaterial.
Every individual is unique but time has given sanity to the individual minds to function in sync and in parallel. When minds are similar irrespective of the individual uniqueness, a symphony is arrived gradually. This continual symphony or harmony among the two people can be extrapolated as “lived happily ever after”.
Time heals and forgives the seeker of state of happiness and let time do well.

WOULD YOU LIKE BEING FAMOUS?

shivaholic07’s Profile Photopeacefull dude
I would want to help others as much as I can in my own way. I like reading articles related to them. Apart from that, I also want to be a writer who could help and heal others with my words because reaching to everyone physically isn't easy. But, through writing, I could try to help others. The best way someone could help others by giving right advice at right time. If I could able to offer that right advice to them at right time when they need it, I guess that would be a milestone achievement and satisfaction for me.
I guess I'm getting off the subject, but I just want to vent a little because I know how does it feel when you need some good advice and nobody bother to give you. And, in that situation you all alone face the struggles and challenges. And, most of the time it leads to failure because you don't know what you should do in such struggling situations. So, if I could minimize the chances of failure somehow in others' lives, it would help each other.
This is what I'd like to be known for.

What do girls want?👀💙

zyxwvtsrq’s Profile PhotoCALIX
I am a girl of color, a girl of race, a girl of religion, a girl of caste but what’s consistent is that I AM A GIRL & for just once in forever all I want is to be just a girl nothing else; not anyone anonymous getting my description as that brown skinned girl from this place from this caste from this religon. These are the things I didn’t choose for myself as I was born with it. Yes I am brown as I was born a brownie, I do belong to a particular race because I didn’t have an option to pick from. So, how can anyone describe me with the designations I never chose for myself. The only thing that I chose was being a girl that’s it. Being a girl isn’t any curse or a boon it’s just the same as being a boy neither less nor more, I don’t beg for equality nor do I demand respect from anyone, I never would wish to be the victimized or the suppressed one or the one dominating somebody, I never asked you to worship me & so will I never allow you to abuse me, I don’t ask people & society to take a stand for me & be a part of this fight of equality. All I ever asked was can you people of this society just allow me to be a GIRL; by that I don’t mean choosing between a home maker or the one at the work frontier. How can you decide what I want?, how do you know that a girl was designed for home & a boy for work?, were you the eyewitness to it when god assigned these duties to us? Or are you god? If you can’t answer these questions you have no right to ask/ decide what I want. I’ll tell you what I want, I want to be who I am, to be the one I was born, to be a girl. I’ll decide whether I want to be at home or at the office or anywhere else, I’ll decide which clothes to wear, when to go out & with whom to go out. Can you the society let me do that? God created man & woman both & nowhere it is mentioned that who's strong & who’s weak but what’s mentioned is that we complete each other being equally important for the survival of each other. So what I want is please just LET ME BE A GIRL.

Do you have enemies? Name one! 😈

I might have many!
I have some things that are important to me, so I have stood up for myself and for others, and this may have translated into some people highly disliking me. I also hope that my civility and persuasion helped them see the righteous way and they haven't strayed from that path.
Aside from that, I don't think there are people who would want me to fail; mostly because there are no people who know every single detail about me here (they know parts but not the whole picture). This is partially because I allow others to talk about themselves more than I talk about my own life; and partly because I like to maintain my privacy and have some things which are indeed personal and not up to the world to debate on.

What is the most important thing to know?

amolahir2607’s Profile PhotoAmol Ahir
Nobody will protect you from your suffering. You can’t cry it away or eat it away or starve it away or walk it away or punch it away or even therapy it away. It’s just there, and you have to survive it. You have to endure it. You have to live through it and love it and move on and be better for it and run as far as you can in the direction of your best and happiest dreams across the bridge that was built by your own desire to heal.

What do you miss?

The carefree, innocent days of childhood. When you fought with your friends, and in a while you would be playing with them again, as if nothing happened. When you cried because you fell from a swing, not because you fell in love. When nobody judged you for being chubby, or too thin, or wearing non-matching clothes. When studying was for fun, not for getting high paying jobs. When you thought that everything was possible, and that you can be anything, a supermodel or an astronaut, anything you want! When a simple candy used to make you much happier than all the expensive things you buy today. When you were not afraid to cry or laugh or be yourself in front of people! When the only responsibility you had was was to finish your homework in time. When in-pin-safety-pin was used to make the toughest decisions. When the only regrets you had were buying the orange candy instead of the green one. Those were the best days of my life! I wasted my childhood days trying to be grown up! How I wish I could change that now! 😪

What’s the best thing you have learned from your parents? ❤️

To never ever give up, no matter how tough it gets! Finish what you started!
To be kind, compassionate and helpful, even if they aren't the same.
To handle situations with a smile.
Know what goes around, always, always, comes around. Believe in your karma.
If you really, really like something, buy it.
Spend money, but know if it's worth the price.
Winning and losing are part of life. We don't judge you for that. The world would.
Be strong! You have yourself. You have us. And that's enough.
Kick a man in the crotch when he touches you without consent.
Be street smart. Don't let anybody fool you just like that. Don't trust something you have second thoughts about.
You understand us. We understand you. That's how it works most of the time.
The world will hurt you. Find the ones who are worth the pain.
Someone who takes you away from us, is not good for you.
Talk to us. Open up. We're here, for you, with you, always.
Prove yourself with your actions. Don't just make noise.
You don't have to respond to negative people. You let them talk. Let the silence do the charm. Keep working.
Don't respect someone who hasn't earned it, but don't disrespect them either.
Ask for what you want. What you need. What you don't know. Be curious enough to find out what might happen.
Respect yourself if you want someone to respect you.
Never cry over a guy! There are many out there waiting to make you smile.

The best feeling... ?

It rained today, all morning long and I envisioned things “washing away”. It was calming, even the thunder and lightening. It is still overcast on this weird Sunday afternoon. Some light in there amidst a mass of gray. I feel the shift so much right now, the somber mood, the new rules in place; wear a mask upon your face, or else stay in place, shelter in place, cover your face, the irony of it rhyming. Peoples lives are literally in the balance; social media just has us all fooled. We are taking everything one day at a time. There is an eerie feeling surrounding the unknown, I am feeling torn. Beautiful things have happened in our world; despite the constant emphasis on fear. From what I am hearing, the Earth is healing and so are we, collectively. This is no doubt a time of intense anxiety and uncertainty. We literally don’t know what another day will bring, let alone when our lives will return to something remotely recongnizable. But in all of this, we are choosing to reach out to each other, in ways we never would have before. Our mindsets have softened towards each other, we are smiling through our tears and wishing each other well, checking in on the elders, and holding the babies close to our hearts.

DO YOU THINK BEING SPIRITUAL IS IMPORTANT?

shivaholic07’s Profile Photopeacefull dude
I strongly feel that God has bestowed spirituality only to human beings. I have written many times that I define spirituality as quest for God. When this quest is there, one automatically tries to become a proper human being which is a must for meeting God.Human beings, being the last species, before God calls back their soul to merge in Him, have therefore been given a tinge of spirituality in their very first human incarnation which goes on rising from one incarnation to another. After few hundred such human incarnations, the soul rises very high and finally goes back to God. Therefore, spirituality is an essential part of the personality of each human being. In the majority, it may be of low level but would definitely be present and the company of a saintly person will definitely increase its intensity and positive influence. Religion is the next alternative.
Above being the factual position, let no one please mind that those in the category of lowest spirituality are animal like. Most of them are criminals of heinous crimes including terrorists. From this, it is not difficult to infer that, what not, the professionals in any field deprived of spirituality can do. However, all of these, of the lowest spirituality level, may not damage others or their organizations due to lack of circumstances propelling or compelling an individual to indulge in such white crimes. Those with lowest spirituality, in any field, are less than 5 percent of the total population and they may turn criminals as soon as circumstances are ripe. However, the crimes committed by the professionals may not be life threatening to others. It is another matter that many of those hit by these criminal professionals may get so depressed or deprived that they may commit suicide.
In view of the above, I would therefore say thatspirituality is important for our professional life.

What’s your best feature?

My character.
I've covered miles & I did that despite of where my starting line was & despite more hurdles in my path. I had my struggles & they are tough ones that puts me down. But I always stand back up again. Didn't let them define me but rather let my ability to conquer & move past them polish my grit. I had many limitations, many fears, many weaknesses. I faced them little by little & sometimes boldly. I don't use them as excuses to stop me from improving myself. I don't blame anyone or fate for my misfortune or what I lack. I don't let unfairness change me to be a bitter & unfair person. World may be unfair, I don't have to be that way. I didn't take shortcuts in life or easy way out. I have been faced with temptations & chose the right & difficult path & accept the less pleasant result. I'd rather earn my merit the honest way. Anyone who meets me describe me as positive being, energetic, bubbly, ray of sunshine. No one suspected I had pains & burdens more than the next gloomy person. I am resilient. It may be in my blood, in my culture. But in my mind, it is my way to live, not just survive. Life is a great privilege to be diminished to some bleak existence. I've been betrayed but I still trust. I am not stupid to trust blindly but I allow people that clean slate of trust until they earn my distrust. I've loved & hurt, many times, devastatingly so. I still love. I still allow myself to feel vulnerable & foolishly fall in love. Still hopeful despite several failures & still willing to risk my heart yet another tough beating. Love is worth it & because it won't kill me even when the heartache feels like dying. Life could be hard & sometimes we feel like being in the gutter, but I always look up to the stars. It's my life & I choose to appreciate the privilege of living, making the most of my fullest potential & leaving a positive impact. I've earned every point I have on my character. That's my essence & nothing can take that away from me.
