How do you prefer celebrating your birthdays?

the_ayesha_24’s Profile PhotoAyesha Ali khan
I celebrate every day as my Birthday. There's a very simple logic behind it. When we take a birth for the first time we are said to have been awaken for the first time, that means we were sleeping before we had taken a birth.
That's true because our eyes were closed when we had taken a birth. When we wake up from a night's sleep everytime we take a new birth. It's ironic that, a night's sleep is similar to the mother's womb. Hence, every day is our Birthday!
So live for the moment and enjoy your everyday and be thankful to God for giving you a new birth everyday, because the moment you don't wake up, you die!

What I went through, happened. Who I was, existed. I needed my past and I needed my mistakes to get me Where I am now.
My mistakes defined me More and A better stronger me each time. And now as I look back at them, I smile 🙂
The FEAR of being nothing, achieving nothing and becoming nothing should be way bigger than the fear of making mistakes. Isn’t it?

Before you can grow up, you must fall in love three times. Once you must fall in love with your best friend, ruining your friendship forever. This will teach you who your true friends are, and the fine line between friendship and more. Once you must fall in love with someone you believe to be perfect. You will learn that no one is perfect, and that you should never be treated as any less than you deserve. And once you must fall in love with someone that is exactly like you. This will teach you about who you are, and who you want to be. And when you’re through with all that, you learn that the people who care about you the most are the ones that you hurt. And the ones you hurt are the ones that you needed the most. But most of all, you learn that love is only a concept and is not something that can be defined, it is different to each person that experiences it. And you will learn to respect each and every person on this earth, knowing that everyone only wants to be loved. Love, this is so beautiful and I wish and hope everybody could find this similarity in every person they cross paths with! Life would be such a more beautiful place than it already is!

What is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to you?

Dilkash20’s Profile PhotoAdv. Dilkash Rana
Someone once told me that human beings have three dimensions: how you see yourself, how others see you, and how you want others to see you. The closer the distance between the three dimensions, the more at peace you are and the more stable you become.

10 signs of Depressed person
Even though it is quite difficult to comprehend what goes inside the mind of a person, there are a few signs that can help you assess if someone is on the verge of slipping into depression or already trapped.
1. Excessive Sleep - A person suffering from depression will sleep all day long, or at least pretend to be asleep to avoid interactions.
They are addicted to their alone, lying in their bed, with windows and curtains shut, earphones plugged and listening tosome sad songs.
They might tell you that they feel peaceful while listening to this music, but you must be aware that these songs are just pulling them more into the black hole of depression.
2.Sleep Deprived - Depression takes away the ability of people to relax and have a good night’s sleep.
They are up all night, wondering what went wrong, why they aren’t good enough, and what not. Night-time is the most active time of their life.
Being an insomniac doesn’t validate your depression. But if you voluntarily stay awake to think about what happened with you 2 years back at a public event, it is a major reason of concern.
3.Staying Indoors - There is no better comfort like home. Avoiding social gatherings and public events is completely fine.
However, procrastinating about meeting friends and family is not okay. Because if their loved ones aren’t aware of their situation, they’ll probably end up in a deep pitfall. And no one can save them.
There can be two reasons why they don’t talk to or visit their friends –
1. Unwillingness to face their loved ones, to avoid bothering them for their personal concerns.
2. Inability to explain their pain, because they themselves don’t understand how they feel.
If you are introverted soul who loves to stay back home just to spend some quality time with yourself, you arenotdepressed. It’s healthy.
4.Frustration - Short-tempered people are more likely to be undergoing turmoil of emotions.

Say something that could make anyone smile 🌸

Please talk.
Sometimes, people don’t feel like talking to their friends or families about their real emotions due to the fear of coming out as over dramatic, clingy or being a pile-on.
People suffering from depression are the kindest human beings. They’ve been through so much, but they won’t let their emotions ruin your day, which is why they don’t express their emotions to you.
So, they turn to strangers. And I request you to be a kind and loving stranger for them to talk to.
Be there for them, or just redirect them to people who can help.
If you or someone close to you is suffering from depression or having suicidal thoughts, please contact mefor a conversation.
I’d be happy to help anyone.

Dealing with Depression
The more we try to avoid talking about it, the more it gets into our head. We’ve seen people on the peak of their careers who failed to overcome depression and ended up committing suicide.
I’ve always written aboutself-lovewhen I should’ve been writing about the reasons why it is difficult for people tolovethemselves. Anddepressionis one of the most disturbing and vicious of all.
It’s been quite a long time that I’ve been talking to people about what’s bothering them, and there are a few things that are common for all.
Before I dig deep into those things, let me start off by explaining the real meaning of depression, and the mindset of an individual having suicidal thoughts.
What is Depression?
I’ve read a share of articles that describe depression as a feeling oflossand fear. Some of them stated depression as an emotional disorder. However, it is much more than just a condition of mood swings.
We’ve all been there, but we made it out of the pitfall whereas some couldn’t. So, it’s our responsibility to help them out.
I’ve had enough conversations with people suffering from self-doubt, who were not at all willing to talk it out as they believed thatpeoplewould judge them or will make fun of them. Honestly, I don’t blame them for thinking this way.
There must be a reason why they feel like being attacked for expressing their feelings, which is heartbreaking.
The point is that it is more about the people surrounding the depressed person, rather than someone who is suffering. We are so self-involved that we often forget to ask our near and dear ones about their emotions.
We are extremely busy in our lives, I know, but what about the people we love who have no one except you to talk to? If we’re not there for them, who will?
If you want to help someone, the first thing you need to understand is the thoughts that go through their mind, which are: https://ask.fm/ankitaasamaddar/answers/162348037139

Mindset of a Depressed Person
When someone seems overly complicated, lost and seeks an answer for their overthinking and questions, that person is going into depression. It is more than just feeling sad over a breakup.
Their world is constantly sinking. They are more prone to living in the dark than go out for a walk. Even if they go out with friends, the moment they re-enter their home/room, their world starts falling apart.
They’ve had pretty bad experiences, which made them less trusting and silent. They’ve spent countless days questioning their worth and nights crying over why they aren’t good enough.
One moment they are over the top, feeling life, and the other second, their whole world comes crashing down. All they want to do is stuff their heads into their pillow and cry out.
Merely telling them to“Stay calm”,“Everything will be alright”or“Have faith in God”does not help, at all.
They don’t need solutions to overcome this feeling, but a trustworthy person who could just listen to what they have to say, without any judgements.
Please be this person for them. 🙂
Writing about this was so damn important to me, because I can’t see my closed ones or their loved ones suffer due to something that isn’t even their fault in the first place.
A single thought of losing my family members or friends because of depression, scares me todeathand almost had me in tears.
Please ask your friends, siblings and even your parents if something’s bothering them.
Don’t think about it as a difficult conversation but something that would save time and endless emotional devoid of your loved ones.

What was the last gift you gave somebody?

sharmaranveer’s Profile PhotoRanveer Sharma
I had given the gift of life to 5 unborn kittens when a pregnant kitty died in an road accident. The kitty was carrying a food and was crossing the road when a car hits her chopping her head off. I was nearby when this accident happened and immediately rushed to the died kitty and discovered that she was pregnant. Without waiting for any longer I immediately tried pushing the kittens out of her belly but failed everytime. At last, I decided to tear the kitty's belly off to straightaway pull the kittens out of the belly. This time I succeeded and saved 5 of them. I took them to my house and had been nursing and feeding them regularly. Unfortunately 3 of the kittens died within 2 months due to lack of important nutrients that only the mother kitty could provide them with. The other 2 survived somehow and are about to complete their first birthday on 27th June.

1. How does your behaviour change when you fall in love?

I know I’m not easy to love. I’m a chronic over-thinker, I overreact more than I should…And every once in a while, I might be a little insecure. But if I am in love with you, I can promise you wholeheartedly that you will be loved with so much passion and intensity that you’ll forget what life felt like before I came along. You will always be cared for and you will always have someone in your corner. Maybe I’m not the best at being loved – But I like to think I’m pretty good at loving.

2. Do you give money to beggars? Why/why not?

What does the word BEGGAR stand for? Does it means someone who is DISABLED? DISABLED to earn on his own or purposely DISABLED?
Since my childhood, the moment I used to see a beggar around I used to analyse the significant aura that he/ she used to show. The beggar who is actually disabled will have a trait that is natural and you'd feel pitty for him and would like to offer him with whatever treat you've. And the significant other type of beggar who isn't disabled at all will keep staring at you, will follow you, keep forcing you to give him something to eat or maybe ask for some money, might irritate you and will be found carrying a bag filled with either money or food.
If ever I encounter a real beggar I give him/ her all the essentials required looking at his condition, it can be a clothing, food or some money, if possible I try helping him get a shelter so that he/ she will not have to move for feeding his/ her belly.
If ever I encounter a fake beggar I try teaching him/ her a lesson so that he/ she can stop pretending to be a beggar and start earning by doing some work that suits him/ her.
Recently, I had encountered one such fake beggar who was behind me and demanded ₹100. What I did? I took him to the district municipal corporation and asked him if he wanted ₹3,000. Hearing this, he smiled and asked how, I told him to sweep a particular area every morning and evening without failure and complaints about poor maintenance. Today he has been appointed as a supervisor for hygiene and maintenance under same municipal corporation. He now employees 100 similar people who work under him and have stopped begging because now they know their worth and are earning rather than begging.
I want everyone to help the actual needy with some kind act!

Reality nowadays

What's wrong with ASK? Where and Why are all of my coins vanishing? I had exchanged 5k coins today and had around 30k in the morning but now I see my coins have deducted by 3k. But why? What is ASK upto?

AMan_Singha’s Profile PhotoAMAN SINGHANIA
Hey, you are not alone, we are in this together! 😂
So what I can sense as of now is that ASK has stopped the coins generation feature and now we can no longer get more coins like before. Eventually, no more coins generation means no coins at all. So the reason behind why our coins are rapidly getting deducted is that ASK no longer wants us to preserve our coins. In that way, even if you exchange any coins to maintain your level but still it will get deducted within the next day.
As you said, you had 30k coins in the morning and now are left with 27k. The thing is that they have deducted 10% from your total coins (If you had read my previous answer - https://ask.fm/ankitaasamaddar/answers/162237356307) They deducted 3k coins. If this continues, then soon we will be left with no coins at all. According to my observation and overall analysis, ASK now wants to focus on its VIP+ users and I think they are about to change the concept of the Leaderboard. Only those VIP+ users will stay on the Leaderboard who's engagement level is higher than the rest. (This includes their overall activity, i.e, Total number of questions or shoutouts sent, questions or shoutouts answered, polls created, accumulated likes on polls, accumulated likes on answeres, rewards recieved, total number of coins recieved, gain in number followers, engagement level, coins recieved through watched ads, tasks completed, coins recived through secret answers, popularity, views on your account, total number of questions received, etc.)😂
As we all know ASK gives certain tasks every week that are to be performed by VIP+ users and after the tasks are completed they reward them with certain amount of coins. So I kind of think as if this is how Leaderboard is gonna work from now on. I can be wrong but I can somehow feel that I am right anyways!💁
What do you guys think about it?
