Hi heidi.. I wanna ask you something.. we calls SHINee World concert 3 as 'popcon', so what is SHINee World Concert 4 named??

Bellanabilqisn’s Profile PhotoBella ㅎㅅㅎ
SWC4 was called 꼭갈콘 (kkok gal kon)! It kinda means "the concert you'll surely attend", and it's also a play on the name of a snack called 꼬깔콘 (kko kkal kon), which are similar to Bugles (if you've ever heard of that snack in USA or elsewhere).

I read your music show and fansign post recently and was wondering if the "fan in charge of the lines or one of the fanstaff" get paid to do these things because it sounds like a lot of work on the fans part just to see their idols:(

Yes it is a LOT of work, and nope the fans who run the lines and that stuff don't get paid. But the real fanstaff, the SM Supporters, probably get paid? I assume so...some of my other friends guessed no but I think that's way too much work to not get paid. But either way I believe mostly it's kind of like an internship that gets them in the door where they can network with people in the company, to maybe someday have a chance to work there. I'm not sure, that's just what I think would make sense.

can u recommend any thesaem products?

I'm not into makeup that much so I'm not super knowledgeable about it, but I use The Saem's Eco Soul Power Proof Cooling BB Cushion and Eco Soul Power Proof Tank Liner. I like them more than comparable Etude House products.

oh i hope so!! i'm confused how they decide their tours because the first half of SWC4 was before odd/mttm came out, and then the rest was after so they added the newer songs. so i've been wondering would they do SWC5 if they don't have a new korean album?

they performed a bunch of the odd album songs at swc4 in seoul even though the album dropped right after the concerts ended. for mttm yeah they had to wait for the repackage before they added it to the setlist, but sm's recent favorite thing to do is coincide full album releases with concert tours. i don't think that applies to mini albums so unless shinee has another full album they might not get a concert tour right away. we might have to wait for a korean mini and then a full before they do another concert tour? who knows man :( i hope it's not too long...

SWC5??? have i missed something omg wHEN

no no anon was just asking for when it does happen, possibly sometime next year ㅋㅋ

hello heidi! i'm actl @jonghyunned on twitter and i've tweeted you several times before, i'm not sure if you rmbr ? anyway, i came here to ask you one question HAHA -- is jjong tall irl? i mean yeah he IS the tiniest in shinee but omg how does it feel seeing him irl? (go ahead and rant) XDDD ~

jonghyunned’s Profile Photo이태민
Jjong is not tall ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ he's taller than me but in general for a guy he's not tall ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ he's barely barely taller than me ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ he wears a lot of insoles always ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ i've stood next to him when he's with and without insoles ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ he's pocket sized ㅋㅋㅋ
omg but for real tho he's like +ten million handsome points so does it even matter ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
more than his shortness the thing that strikes me the most about him is his skinniness....
he's so skinny...so tiny in every way. his waist is kind of unreal and inhuman looking irl. idk how he is like alive and moving lmao maybe because his shoulders are a bit broad compared to his waist so that makes his waist look even smaller? sometimes i'm in actual shock o.o this tiny man
even his hands are smaller than mine, everything about him is small, such a tiny pocket sized little pup
(btw i'm just average sized like height and hands LOL i'm 165cm)

im thinking of buying a global package for swc5 b.c i really need to see them at least once before onew goes to the army TT _ TT thing is, I can't speak any Korean at all, do you think I'll have a hard time being there just for the concert? How is the global package with helping foreigners get aroun

You'll be totally fine. Most Koreans speak basic English or there will be someone in the area to help you, even if it's awkward you can definitely survive. And especially hotel staff always speak like pretty fluent English. The GP is also great at helping foreigners around, they can pick you up and drop you off at the airport, and they have transportation from the hotel to the concert venue and back also. Plus the lunch and other events, SM covers it all so you don't have to worry about a thing. And the tour guides for the GP are veryyyy friendly and helpful, they give their phone numbers too but I guess you would need a phone that works overseas to contact them ><;
I've done the GP many times and it's great! :) (except for Jonghyun's concert one lol but that's a story for another time hmph.)

Who is the greatest cook you know? What do they make?

My unnie Ava, she used to throw a party and cook turkey and many dishes every year on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and thanks to her I wasn't lonely and got to celebrate the holidays even in Korea. But recently she moved and now she doesn't have a kitchen to cook in ㅠㅠ This year on Thanksgiving I was so alone and sad...I miss Ava unnie's cooking!!! T~T especially her carrot cake...

This is the link of the video:http://youtu.be/VXjHk5ibxt0

ah...but is there a specific part you are having trouble with? i don't have time to translate a whole video rn ㅠㅠ unless i have some free time another day, maybe i can do the whole vid but it may be a while before i get enough free time D: T_T

I'm going to Korea soon and i want to visit SM and also other agencies, and most of the agencies are located in Gangnam so that's why i'm asking since i'm staying at a hotel in Gwangjin. Thankyouu! ^^

Yup it's very manageable :) yay, enjoy your trip!! :D

hello heidi! i wanted to ask you.. have you sent the books? i know you're probably busy so if u havent sent it its okay~

I've begun to send them already ^^ I have lots to send so it's split up into a few days. I'll send more on Monday and Tuesday. And I'll definitely email each person as soon as I send their package. Thanks for ur patience!

Hey there. I want to ask if Gwangju is far from Gangnam? And is it safe to walk around at night in Gangnam?

(I saw ur other ask said you meant Gwangjin) and yes technically they're close but Gwangjin is across the river so by public transport it would take about 30~45 minutes. (By car ~20 mins and ~7000krw taxi fare).
And yes, personally I feel pretty safe walking around alone in most parts of Seoul even at night :)

Hi,Heidi^_^,your Korean is really good! And I saw a video and some fans said it would be better it has eng sub,so I decided to sub it ,but I still confused what they are talking about because the background music is loudly,it's SHINee World IV ending talk in seoul, hope you can help me,thank you!

Hi~ I don't know if I'll be able to help very much, but I can try to take a look if you link me the video and tell me exactly what part you're having trouble with ><;; or message/DM me on twitter

hi heidi! so i was wondering about enlistment dates seeing as onew's turning 27 (korean age?) soon ? ive heard people speculating of enlistment at age 29 but i dont know how it works?? do you think it would be most likely for him to enlist around 2017 or 2018? sorry im just really curious !

The dates can vary depending on a lot of factors, it just depends what the company prefers to do. But it seems like most idols recently have enlisted at age 30 (Korean age). And next year Onew will be 28 and Jonghyun will be 27 (both Korean age). So if they follow the same trend as Suju and TVXQ then Onew will have to enlist by 2018 ㅠㅠ

Hi, I'm probably going to receive jonghyun' novel soon but my understanding of korean is quite poor. How would u describe the standard of korean in the book? Intermediate/ Advanced? I'll most probably be armed with translators & dictionaries orz

Advanced. Some of it is not too hard but some parts are very difficult because it can get really poetic. Poetry in one's native language isn't always easy to breeze through, so it can be a little confusing. If you have intermediate Korean skill and translators/dictionaries you can probably make out the general idea of the text though.

Hi! When are you going to ship the books for the people who ordered them? Will you be emailing everyone when you do? Sorry, just really excited. Thanks ^^

Yes! I'll definitely send each person an email as soon as their book is shipped. I'm still waiting on my bulk order from the store to arrive to my house. The book release date got pushed back a little and they said they'll ship my order to me sometime after the 25th, so hopefully it arrives tomorrow or early this week and I'll ship them ASAP when I get them.. ^^ sorry for the delay.

Looks great~ and do you know how to entry sogang university for foreigner? I'm indonesian but now i lived in taiwan Anyway thankyou for your answer, it helps me a lot! Have a nice day heidi☺️

If you just want to attend the language school, the instructions are on the official website (go to sogang's website and navigate to the KLEC page). They tell you what documents and stuff you need, and how to apply. The application is really easyyy and you only need to graduate high school before you can start.

Belated congratulations on getting to have your book signed! I know you were probably overwhelmed, but did you notice if Jonghyun was wearing cologne? I'm obsessed with scent, and since he mentioned that a colleague told him that once his favorite cologne had lingered in the MBC studio long after h

Oh my god. Haha nope, actually I've met SHINee members many times like 11 times but I don't recall ever smelling the smell of cologne...I don't know if it's just because they didn't wear much those times or if I was just freaking out way too much to notice (that's possible lol), but yeah I don't remember any scents from them sorry >u<;

Hi heidi! If you dont mind i wanna ask about which university u think is good to learn korean language in seoul? Thankyou?

Hi! I can't give an unbiased answer about this because I have only attended one school in Korea. I attend Sogang University, so all I can do is give you my opinion about that school ^^ And my honest opinion is that it's a very great school. All of my classes have been really challenging (which is good, the pace is fast and it's a real kick in the butt). The teachers I have met are also all highly skilled, professional, and friendly. Most of them have been teaching Korean for 20+ years. The content you learn in the lessons is also chosen really well. Sogang is well known for focusing a lot on speaking, and I picked Sogang because I felt that speaking was my worst skill before attending classes. Now I feel much more confident.
I have some friends who attended Yonsei, but I haven't spoken about it in depth to anyone who attended more than a couple semesters. All I heard is that they do a lot of book work and grammar, and it is very different from Sogang's style. I imagine Sogang is one of the more laid-back in terms of class and teaching styles. It is a good learning environment, in my opinion :) so I do highly recommend Sogang University. But I hope you can find someone who knows about other universities to get some more well rounded answers ^^ Everyone is different so you may or may not suit another school better. Good luck!

what's the meaning behind saying lee taemin as like good luck?

Fans have a habit or a little thing they like to do, they say that chanting "Lee Taemin" 3 times will bring you good luck. It's a thing that's been going on for a while, and even when the high schoolers took their college entrance exams (a very big national event in Korea) "lee taemin lee taemin lee taemin" was trending on Twitter! But to be honest, I don't know the exact origins of it. But it really works ㅋㅋㅋㅋ because Taemin is a god ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
