hi^^ you are living in a goshiwon now, right? It seems to be a reasonable alternative to hostels. But how to find them online and rent? Could you write anything about it, and maybe recommend a good one?

Yes! Goshiwons are definitely nicer than hostels for an extended stay. The prices are...decent. And they might even let you haggle for a discount.
I searched by using http://goshipages.com/ and http://www.habang.co.kr/b_go_se_en
Those sites are both in English, but you can also find many just by googling an area name (홍대, 신촌, etc) and 고시원 or 고시텔. There are many other names for goshiwon but those are the most common I've found. (If you can't read/write basic Korean, then stick to those English sites and email them in English if you can find their email address. Most goshiwons have some English speaking staff.)
There are soooo many in so many places around Seoul that it will probably be hard to narrow your search unless you pick a place first. I really like Sinchon and I wanted to stay there so I searched only in Sinchon or between Sinchon and Hongdae. (Also, Sinchon has a lot to do and it's between like a million different colleges so it probably has more goshiwons than other parts of the city, so I recommend it.)
I took any goshiwon that caught my eye and I rated it 1-10 on Rooms (size+style+quality), Location (close to subway, etc), Kitchen/Amenities (number of washing machines, if they provide free ramen and wifi, etc), and also price. Also wrote out some pros+cons for each. Then I took those scores and rated it overall, and that's how I got a general idea of each goshiwon I was trying to decide between. It took me a while to choose, they all have good and bad points so that's all up to you. ^^
I dunno if I should say this, but I guess I will haha. The goshiwon I'm currently at is Pinehill House in Sinchon and I like it a lot! Nice/new rooms, free eggs and ramen along with rice and kimchi (and coffee and water), nice staff and they're open to price negotiation. And super close to the subway+main streets.
Anyway, good luck with that! Let me know if you have any more questions. :)

don't get me wrong i didin't really wanted to offend u but is just... 2 pics are not going to "ruin their comeback" how i have seen some girls complain about :(

it won't ruin the comeback, i'm sorry if you thought my comments sounded childish before. i just get upset about this kind of leaking because it's always been a problem.

I really like you but... don't you think that juding fans who don't care to receive spoilers isn't necessary? or being childish like "i prefer them on a box than this"? inst like pics are shaved in your face. and are just 2 pics just showing their hair like wtf this was going to be revealed at airpo

exactly, the hair was already revealed at the airport so the other photos of them in their private shooting area aren't necessary...and at the airport they had hats on purpose, for a reason. from what i hear, the photos and fa are leaked by some extras in the filming who signed a contract to not release that information so, it's already wrong. they're shooting in private so out of respect for shinee we should not share/spread that info and just wait for the official updates >__< these photos are leaks in the same way that mp3s spread before official release are leaks. leaks are leaks and leaks are bad.

When is the end of spring in korea?

Technically Spring is supposed to be late March to early May, but Korea usually gets warm really fast so by May it's friggin hot (compared to where I'm from, at least XD). I was actually talking about this to a Korean friend today, we were wondering why it's still so dang chilly when it's almost mid-April!! Haha...it should start getting warm and then hot pretty soon.

Do you think learning korean by listening like watching dramas, radio, etc will help me better than learn by writing?

I don't wanna say it's better, but it's always good to be well rounded. Don't just focus on one thing because that's what I did. I'm not really a fan of kdramas or korean variety shows honestly, so I didn't have much listening practice. My reading and writing is good because I wrote with penpals and read Korean posts online, but my speaking and listening was really bad when I first came to Korea. So yeah, try to stay well rounded in your types of practice, but any practice is good practice so just always keep continuing!

I want to go to their fansign but don't know how to win the fansign ticket ;___; Can you tell me about that? Thank you so much xD

First you need to buy albums at the store that's specified during the sale period for the fansign, then when you buy the albums there will usually be like a slip where you write your name and contact info. Each album = 1 entry slip. So if you buy many albums you get a higher chance to get chosen, but it's all random. There's not really any tricks I can tell you, it's just luck really, and money. But good luck ㅠㅠ if you want more detailed explanations you can look at the end of this post: http://kimkeyy.tumblr.com/post/55628838466

Thank you so much for answering me♡♡ This is my first time trying to win the fansign event. I want to make sure that I will get in. Hope I win :D

Anytime ^^ good luck really!!!

That means if she goes to pick up the ticket, then she can give it to me?? Before going into the fansign venue, do the staffs check our name on ID with the list they have??

No they don't check. In all the fansigns I've ever been to, they only check ID when they give you your ticket at the desk (which is like your seat number/order you enter the stage). But there's no one checking whether you switch numbers with someone or give it to someone else. She just has to give you the ticket before you enter the fansign area to sit down, because the participants area is blocked off. All you do is show your ticket number to get in.
(Btw I don't know if that's COMPLETELY allowed, but I've had friends do it before. Maybe try to be kind of secretive if you're worried XD)

Do you have a trick to get in fansign?? I saw some people write their names in korean (from japanese word by word). It makes more chance to win?? / If my friend win but she can't go to fansign, she can't give the coupon to me, right?? Thanks for the answer.

No tricks. It's all just about luck and money. As for the Japanese names written in Korean thing, yes I see that a lot. But I think it's only possible to do that if you have an official ID with your name written in Korean. My ID has my name in English and I think that's the only kind I can get. But I think Japanese (and maybe Chinese, etc) people can get IDs with their name in Korean. I'm not really sure, I never looked into it since it isn't useful to me anyway haha.
I don't know for sure if there is a correlation between hangul names and having a higher chance to win, unless they were going to limit the foreigners in the fansign by picking mostly hangul names. But personally I never saw this happen (yet), so let's hope it stays that way...I do see that a lot with other idol groups, though.
And if someone wins a fansign ticket ONLY they can pick up the ticket, with photo ID to match their name to the entry slip. But after the ticket is picked up then they could give it to someone else. If your friend wins but for some reason can't go to the fansign venue at all, then there's no way to get her ticket unless you look like her and can take her ID to get it XD

Shawols are generally very calm, but well when a member dating Se Kyung they sent her death threats and if girls posted pics with 'too close' pose to their oppar they got mad that the pics needed to be deleted ._.

Any fandom will go crazy if their idol dates someone. Remember Baekhyun? And even actors get the same treatment. That's kind of expected, no...? This is a bit of a different topic than what I was talking about before.

but your tweets do say that you kinda hate "exo-ls" even it's just an exo member fansite wrongdoing. can u just not.

i don't hate everyone. listen. i really hate the consequences to my fandom by exo-l's. even if it's all or just one person, my whole fandom gets hurt by it. i hate the stress and anger and hurt that is caused to me and my friends. it's not unreasonable.
we all just want to enjoy fandom life too. if shawols get banned from a music show for something we didn't do, that hurts us and it also hurts shinee because their fans won't be there to support them. if the same thing happened to any other fandom, they would be just as angry, and so would you. do i hate all the exo-l who attended normally to support exo? of course i don't, why would i? but someone in your fandom is giving harm to another fandom. so instead of being angry, exo-l should be ashamed. if a shawol did that i would feel awful.

Hi Heidi. I'm an exo-l and also a shawol, and ive seen your tweet "shinee's fandom is so fuckin calm and older and mature we don't even do anything we just keep to ourselves so why do u keep fuCKING WITH US" and it makes me confused how come a mature fandom to keep on digging the going with mucore a

We keep going talking about it because we're still hurt. You can't just hurt someone and then apologize and expect them to forget right away. The mucore ban is still in effect, we have a right to be angry.

If I'm not wrong regular member is just having to key in your email address?

that might be it! you don't need your email to sign up in the first place? haha wow i don't remember getting this app at all XD

For superstar SM do you need to pay to become a regular member? :-)

I dunno actually...it says I'm a regular member but I've paid for stuff on the app. I don't remember if I was a regular member before that or not though p__p if it's not regular member then what is it?

Any recommendations of which guest house i can stay in in seoul for about two days? Preferably nearer to the shopping places

Well I had my own apartment in Korea, so I didn't stay in many guesthouses. But the one I liked the most was Come Inn guesthouse in Hongdae. The people there were friendly and the facilities were nice and clean. It's right in the middle of a lot of restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, and some shopping. It's also right next to Playground Park and Hongik University. Hongdae is on line 2 of the subway, which runs as a circle in the center of the city, so you could get to Myeongdong or any other shopping or tourist area fairly easily.

Do they not include SHINee's japanese schedules in the website you gave? ):

Ahh, nope. shinee.smtown.com is their Korean website, with Korean notices and schedules only. Their Japanese website is shinee.jp, but it looks like the info and live schedules aren't very detailed or up to date. If you want to find their full schedule, I bet some fanpages and fanforums (like shineee.net) keep it updated regularly.

Do you think / you saw in Korea... there is racism with foreing people?( be honest) That issue worries me because I would travel the country, but i fear that will be a hard culture shock T-T

Well...of course, there is racism everywhere. But it's not something that should deter you from visiting other countries. Maybe you'll get stared at a lot, like I did, if you're white or Muslim. Or maybe someone will try to "scrub the black off of you", like what happened to my friend Corey. He just laughed it off, though. The person or child, whoever it was, just didn't understand. We lived in rural towns, and the people there had never seen a foreigner, let alone a black person. And maybe in a big city, a cab driver won't stop for you. That's the same in America, or anywhere else. Maybe people will avoid you because they don't speak English, and are nervous to interract with you. The "racism" that I saw was mostly just curiosity, ignorance, and shyness. I can't speak for every person in Korea, and there are probably people there who genuinely dislike foreigners, sure. But in general, in my experience, the people there are very friendly, and many will even go out of their way to help you or talk to you. So if you go abroad (this is good advice for any country, not just Korea), don't let the small things bother you, and don't let your nerves affect your decision to travel. I promise the good will outweigh the bad, no matter what.

Hye heidi~~ can i know whr are site tht i can buy shinee surprise vacation photobook? I look up yesasia but they said out of stock or not publish anymore.. sighh i really want tht photobook.. huhuu :'(

Yep, I checked some other websites and it looks like the book is out of print. It was kind of like a limited print so they stopped printing it soon after it was released. You can't really find it in Korea anymore either, I think. The only way to buy it might be to buy it used from someone who already owns it? :( try ebay maybe...sorry ><

Ohh then where do you normally buy their albums from? And do you know where i can see their schedules from?

like buying albums normally? not for fansigns? i always buy my albums at the underground shopping center by the myeongdong subway station. they're always the cheapest.
and you can see the notice board at the official website (shinee.smtown.com)

Hi heidi! I'm a shawol since hello era, can also be considered a die-hard. I always read their updates, not missing anything. Would squeal at them and all those typical things. But here's the catch, I'm not an open fan bec I don't want to be embarrassed on how others think of kpop fans..

I understand your problem :( I don't really keep it a secret now, but I used to in the beginning. I guess somewhere along the way I just stopped caring what people think.
When I tell people in America they just think I'm weird and kind of laugh at me or ignore it or ask ignorant questions (like "are those guys wearing makeup?" "so are they all gay?" =__=) cuz they have no idea about it. So they're like "lol whatever".
But it was different in Korea, because everyone knows about kpop but it's a young person's hobby. Most SHINee fans are close to my age, but the majority of kpop fans are in like middle school. So when I told someone that I like SHINee or I like kpop, and that I visited Seoul a lot to see SHINee or kpop concerts they thought I was really weird lol. But I stopped caring and now I tell people pretty easily.
But it's okay if you feel more comfortable keeping it to yourself. LOTS of people do. There's nothing wrong with it :) but if you don't like keeping it a secret all the time, you could try telling people!! Because, at least from my experience, most people will probably think it's silly but then they'll forget it or ignore it. It won't hurt your relationship and the people probably won't hurt your feelings, it'll be fine ^^ But sometimes you may even find someone else who likes it or is interested in it!! Then you can share that interest together and trust me that's a lot better! I would much rather bond over kpop with a friend irl than hide my biggest hobby/interest from everyone. That's the biggest part of myself and my personality! I wanna show it proud cuz I want people to like me for the real me. Haha.
What do you think? Do you want to tell people someday or do you want to keep it a secret? It's fine either way ^^ up to you.

I am currently watching taemin's wgm and in some particular situations like when he was in that fast boat and was bungee jumping, he was showed as scared. When in fact as a shawol, we all know he's reckless and would always have no fear in extreme activities, I've watched yunhanam and ofd where he s

Hahahah....yeaaah....your question got cut off but if you were talking about how WGM seems fake, it is. WGM is very scripted. That's one of the many reasons that a lot of people dislike it. Lol it is entertaining to watch sometimes, but yeah don't ever take it as 100% true because it's pretty much all scripted like a drama. Just watch it for entertainment.
