hi^^ you are living in a goshiwon now, right? It seems to be a reasonable alternative to hostels. But how to find them online and rent? Could you write anything about it, and maybe recommend a good one?
Yes! Goshiwons are definitely nicer than hostels for an extended stay. The prices are...decent. And they might even let you haggle for a discount.
I searched by using http://goshipages.com/ and http://www.habang.co.kr/b_go_se_en
Those sites are both in English, but you can also find many just by googling an area name (홍대, 신촌, etc) and 고시원 or 고시텔. There are many other names for goshiwon but those are the most common I've found. (If you can't read/write basic Korean, then stick to those English sites and email them in English if you can find their email address. Most goshiwons have some English speaking staff.)
There are soooo many in so many places around Seoul that it will probably be hard to narrow your search unless you pick a place first. I really like Sinchon and I wanted to stay there so I searched only in Sinchon or between Sinchon and Hongdae. (Also, Sinchon has a lot to do and it's between like a million different colleges so it probably has more goshiwons than other parts of the city, so I recommend it.)
I took any goshiwon that caught my eye and I rated it 1-10 on Rooms (size+style+quality), Location (close to subway, etc), Kitchen/Amenities (number of washing machines, if they provide free ramen and wifi, etc), and also price. Also wrote out some pros+cons for each. Then I took those scores and rated it overall, and that's how I got a general idea of each goshiwon I was trying to decide between. It took me a while to choose, they all have good and bad points so that's all up to you. ^^
I dunno if I should say this, but I guess I will haha. The goshiwon I'm currently at is Pinehill House in Sinchon and I like it a lot! Nice/new rooms, free eggs and ramen along with rice and kimchi (and coffee and water), nice staff and they're open to price negotiation. And super close to the subway+main streets.
Anyway, good luck with that! Let me know if you have any more questions. :)
