for you... whats the difference of the feeling of being shawol compared with the feeling of being fan of other group of sm? Do you listen only their songs or you have a stronger feeling?

shinee is definitely different. i like all the groups' music but i don't always follow their updates, only sometimes with whatever i see on twitter or etc. but sometimes i go to stuff for other groups, like i went to red velvet's inki debut and first fanmeeting, and i went to an snsd concert and a tvxq concert before. and i saw luna in high school musical and jessica (and eunji XD) in legally blond. so it just depends. but if shinee is promoting or something at the time, all of my money will go toward shinee first. then nothing will be left over for other groups. LOL that's why i don't buy merch and stuff for other groups. bc shinee comes first. also it's a lot of work going to events or music shows, i usually only put in the effort for shinee haha. so i like when shinee does stuff together with other groups/members so i can see others sometimes! like when sunny was in catch me if you can! or sm the ballad so i could see my baby taeyeon <3 or when i saw key and tiffany record bang bang for gayo daejun! <333333333 that kind of stuff is so fun for me :) (all the examples were snsd members but you get what i mean haha~)

I'm currently taking Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in English. Are English teachers/tutors rly in demand in Korea?

risstaem’s Profile Photoalerissa
YES. they are. if you come to korea you can do private tutoring, but it's probably hard to live on ONLY tutoring, because it's not a steady income. but you could get tutoring/private lesson jobs up to 30+ dollars per hour. or you can get a full or part-time job at a public school or hagwon. there is a high demand for native english speakers. if you're not a native speaker, you have to work harder to meet requirements but you're definitely on the right path. education degrees and english degrees are very valuable here.

have you met/seen Muslim in Korea? I'm a Filipino Muslim. Is there any stereotypes there about a Muslim or a Filipino?

Yes of course! Seoul is a very big, international city. There are all kinds of races and religions represented here. There's not TONS of muslims or anything, but I don't think you would have a problem here at all. Of course, some people here (especially older people) would stare at you if you look different. I get stared at a lot, because I'm white and my hair is bright blond (it's dyed, but still XDDD) it's just something I got used to. Well, it still annoys me sometimes, but I know no one ever means harm by it. So if you can be ok with getting stared at, it's fine LOL. But it's really not as bad as it sounds. And about specific stereotypes, I'm sorry I don't really know. But I've never heard bad things?

am i the only one who watched red velvet singing happiness live and still hears "happenis" ?

i rly don't think ur the only one XDDDDDD

Do you feel guilty for spending most of your money on idols instead of giving your family some? ><

i guess...not really...i think it's an american mindset. i'm an adult and i work and i earned the money so i can do what i want with it. we're greedy like that XDD not proud of it, but...it is what it is. *shrug*
(btw my family is doing fine and can provide for themselves. if they were in trouble financially of course i would be concerned and do my best to help.. ^^)

did people get access to blue night studio? ?

yes there was an open studio! o: i didn't know about it, i wish i could go! haha

looks like @/_taem0718 on twitter didnt give you credit

yeah she did that with lucky box and other stuff too. she doesn't really credit anyone... she also shares sm building photos (which are frowned upon here). some ppl dont like her XD but i don't care. i just wish i could get credited XD oh well no big deal :)

oh yeah btw irene is the leader & Seulgi is the visual

ahh i knew irene was the leader but i didn't know they actually specified a visual! seulgi was my first guess though XD

heidi pap one of your fantaken photo of shinee pleaseeeeee

oh i actually don't take photos of shinee very often!! especially during performances, i prefer to watch with my eyes than to try to sneak pictures. since i'm not good at it XD taking photos would be a waste of time for me LOL. so i only take photos at certain times like key's musical curtain calls or fansigns (but most shinee fansigns aren't open to public so i don't have many chances for that either). but anyway here are a few pics i took of jjong and key XD the jjong ones are more LQ because i was on some balcony a million lightyears away and i don't have a good lens ㅠㅠ this is why i don't take pics often huuu...

Did you have any teaching courses before coming to Korea and teaching yourself?

my uni set up the program and ran the application process, and for my first semester in korea i got full-time credit at my university back in michigan. so, because of that, we were required to do one month of classes in the summer before going to korea. but normal applicants (not through a university) don't have to do that. then after coming to korea, everyone in the program is required to complete one month of orientation where they teach us about korea and teaching elementary students. but it's not very in-depth, and most people start teaching not feeling very prepared. but that's okay, because it's easy to get the hang of, and people are happy to help you out in the beginning. (but that was in my program. the program is for people who had no prior teaching experience or credentials. if you came to korea and applied for teaching jobs manually, you'd be required to have a teaching degree and some kind of experience or credentials to get a good job)

How do you find apartments in Korea? :\

ummm same way you find apartments anywhere i guess? look on the internet..??? there are websites...idk. i never got my own apartment here. it was provided for me.

Is it possible to teach English in Korea if you're not a native speaker?

i think so, but you need to be fluent in english or have learned it to near fluency, and prove it by getting certified. you should probably be certified for TESOL or ESL education to back it up, and pass the english language test (idk what test specifically or any details...you can try googling about it? sorry idk this bc i'm a native english speaker so i never really learned about this)

hi! you won the shinee kakaotalk contest? are there any special ways to increase your chances of winning? :D

yeah!! the way to increase your chances is just to enter many times XD the kakao events are unlimited entry events :) so you can gift the emotes to friends to keep entering multiple times. you just gotta pay and pay and pay money XDDD haha other than that it's just random, kinda like a fansign.

Was is difficult to move to South Korea? I mean, is it possible for foreigners to find an apartment, a job?

it wasn't difficult for me because i came in a government program, so they provided transportation and housing and set up my job for me and everything >< but. yes there are many job openings for english teachers in korea, and finding an apartment isn't too hard, actually i heard there are some services that will find apartments and set things up for english speakers if you pay a fee. but outside of teaching english, i don't think there's much job market for foreigners in korea. for a foreigner to get a non-teaching job here i think you need to be highly certified and nearly fluent in korean probably.

If you know korean can you translate this song /watch?v=7gTRdhpKY9M? Because it was song that Minho was singing at The Wizard concert~ (How it was? Bc when I watch fancams he looks so happy, he is sexy and cute it he same time... Really warms up my heart ;; (Im Minho biased SO HEH but really ;;)

ahh sorry my korean isn't perfect and translating songs is a lot of work and takes a long time so i can't do that ㅠㅠ but yes, minho's performance was so cute and perfect!!! :D he's adorable

sorry to bother you... i asked a question a while ago but i never saw an answer. is it possible to write shinee a short note when going to a fansign. like in the album or something. or is it unwise to do so? i wouldn't want to get in trouble or make them feel burdened T_T

i did answer it ^^ it's here: http://ask.fm/tsheidi/answer/114932222491

hai heidi ^^ do you know what app to learn korean for anfroid? i just will learn simple word ^^ thank you~~~

hmm actually i don't use any android apps to learn korean o: but i did a quick search and there's tons of resources on there for beginners, so you should go check it out. they have lots of different kinds, some focus on beginner phrases, some focus on vocabulary like flashcards, etc. so just browse there ^^; hope you find something good

Hi Heidi unnie ^^ I'm currently learning Korean through online. I already know the characters and how to write and read them, but im having troubles forming sentences and phrases. Can u give me tips on Learning the Language? 감사합니다~ ^^

yeah that's always hard in the beginning ^^; the way i learned was by reading books about korean for beginners and using websites. you should just look for a book, website, or program that works best for you, since everyone is different. but if you find something (even free resources) with some structure, you can set goals and see yourself improve. just do some basic lessons in a book or website. in the beginning when learning a language the improvement rate is really high! so you should be able to improve a lot quickly ^^

why not wendy??? dont you like wendy

yeah i love wendy??? but i was asked about who's the visual /: i just don't think it's her

hi~ I would like to talk about rv, AHHHH YOU ARE SOOO LIKE TO SEE SHINEEE AND RV like wow i like u so much well anyways im sorry for asking this. can you tell to a person if he/she did a plastic surgery? if yes do u think wend from rv did? ahh im really sorry im just really curious :(

i'm not too good at guessing about that. i assume every idol has had at least minor procedures XD and lots of times it requires surgery just to fix teeth, etc. looking good is part of the job, so i don't care whether idols get ps. sooo...i don't really pay attention or think about it. sorryyy ^^;;
