i'd prefer brown cuzzz more natural, and chemical-free. Sugar are originally brown, but underwent procedures to turn white. Thus safe side, I'd recommend the more natural, organic option of brown :)

Hey babe, I tried your DIY facial fruit scrub! However when I used the lemon, I can feel the itchiness around my face so I immediately washed it away. Do you know why is this so? Will this lead to any allergies? :(

use the normal sized lemon! Dont use the small mini ones, more potent!
And when i use it, i can feel the slight 'burn' on the spots i've pimples/acnes too!
Its the just the acidity of the lemon reacting to it :) Try a test patch on your hand first if youre not so sure okie! :)
