Let it go. Don't hold too tight. The relationship is like a flippin' bird. The tighter you hold, you might as well just snap its neck. You'll be left there blaming yourself further on what you've done.
Don't bother grasping at the thin veils of 'ownership' you have on your partner. Most men are like.. Cats. They will claw at the door to be let out. The moment you set them free, they may realize things are not how it used to be in their previous 'singlehood' which they missed.
They will miss you once things aren't how it is, or functioning w/o you, realize your importance, and bolt right back in, knowing to treasure you. :)
If they don't, you'll still know you did the right thing not wasting your time further. :)

I place falsies(as close to their lashline as possible) on them first before applying the eyeshadow, and then the eyeliner. Then, I place the eyelid sticker. After which, I will cover the eyelid sticker by placing the products on them again! It's a much cleaner look that way. Maybe you can try! ;)

He is no longer sure if he prefers the life w/o you or not. He's tasting the singlehood life again.
But an outright no to you... He's afraid he may regret the decision. So letting you 'prove yourself' is a way of keeping you around, w/o the commitment. Super win situation for him. :)
What you should do:
You cannot blame him though. Should you broken his heart in the first place.
You can rlly try proving yourself, however mostly in these situations the party being wooed back, would let the person woo as long as possible. Drag the 'best of both worlds' as far as he can. Until a point when you think you tried your best. ..
Give up utterly w NO regrets. If he loves you, he'd realise life w you is better. And come back, but you don't go beg him at all anymore. Stick to the decision :)
