As far as Sunggyu is concerned, the day that his owners bring Woohyun home is literally the worst day ever. The moment that Myungsoo puts Woohyun onto the floor, he jumps up onto the couch Sunggyu had been napping on, startling him so badly that he'd scampered straight to the top of the bookcase and refused to come down.
"Please don't be like this," Sungyeol pleads with him, attempting to bribe him with his favorite toy.
"Haha, fuck that," Sunggyu mews, pushing his ears back against his head. "You bring a puppy in here to scare me out of half my lifespan and you think I'm going to come down just like that? Humans. /Humans/."
"Use food instead," Myungsoo says.
"Oh, yeah, good idea," Sungyeol replies.
He ends up getting lured back down with a handful of catnip treats. "Damn you both," Sunggyu meows as he chews at the treats in the corner of the kitchen, keeping a watchful eye out for unwanted dogs. "Worst owners ever."

Sunggyu isn't entirely certain if Woohyun is just dreadfully uneducated, or if dogs and cats don't quite share the same language, because he only understands about half of what Woohyun says at any given time. "Woof woof play together woof fun woof yes?" Woohyun asks.
"Fun with you," Sunggyu replies dully. "A world where that is possible doesn't exist. You messed up all my scent markings and now all the neighborhood cats give me the side-eye because they can smell on me the dog I'm being forced to cohabitate with."
Woohyun barks and says something like, "Okay, it'll be fun!" (or so Sunggyu thinks). They spend the rest of the afternoon engaging in a game where Woohyun runs in circles around Sunggyu and Sunggyu naps in the sunny patch underneath the living room window.

Their singles never top the charts, but have enough staying power to keep in the top twenty for long periods of time, and Woohyun is satisfied with that much.
He visits Sunggyu's apartment as much as he can, trying to take advantage of the few days each month that both of their free time manages to line up just right. "Do you have any other friends?" Sunggyu asks every time, but he always lets Woohyun in.

In Sunggyu's bathroom, Woohyun has his own toothbrush. The kitchen is always filled with snacks that Woohyun likes to eat. The couch in the living room is almost permanently pulled out into a bed. He keeps a few spare outfits in Sunggyu's closet. Sometimes they fall asleep curled up next to each other after talking until 2 in the morning, and when that happens, Woohyun always cooks breakfast when they wake up. When he leaves, Woohyun always kisses Sunggyu good-bye, and Sunggyu never kisses him back.
In retrospect, Woohyun thinks, it shouldn't have surprised him that Sunggyu picks up one day and leaves Seoul completely: he walks into Sunggyu's apartment one afternoon, and half of it is in boxes. i think you may have not read my comment, because after all this time, every single person who has told me i'm horrid or a talentless bitch or a whore (and you can scroll if you want proof that all of those things has happened) has failed to tell me what is so bad about my comment.
the reason i wrote that comment is because i read that fic and the experience rang true to mine. because it hit so close to home, i really felt like i couldn't just move on without saying something. and i wanted to say the words that i would have given the past me: "don't forget to love yourself." because having gone through a lot of shit in my life, that's the mindset i've come out with -- that valuing myself is needed, in order for me to properly love other people and actually enjoy living. i realize that this is not everybody's experience. this is why i said repeatedly throughout that comment that my experience is not the be-all-end-all of eating disorder experiences, and that i did not want to pass judgment on any person's individual experience because i realize everybody's is different. is this wrong? can you tell me what is horrid about that?

Jongin's about to leave from his Intro to Anthropology class with Sehun and Lu Han when he's stopped by a classmate -- a girl, petite. She sits in the front row, he thinks. Sehun waggles his eyebrows and Lu Han smirks as they wave good-bye and ditch Jongin. /Please let this not be what I think it's going to be,/ he prays to the ceiling, before looking back at her. "Sorry for bothering you like this," she says, not quite meeting his eyes.

She's playing with the zipper on her jacket a little, he notices. "Uh, well... I was wondering if..."
Jongin has the "sorry, I don't feel that way about you, you're very nice, please find somebody who deserves your attention more than I do" speech all prepared and ready to go when she takes a deep breath and finishes: "Is it true that Kim Joonmyun is your older brother?" she asks.
For a few seconds, all he can do is blink. "Yeah," he replies. "Yeah, he is. Why?"
She flushes a light pink. "He's, um, he's really nice," she answers. "A lot of girls are talking about him, so I was just... wondering, is all!"

"I don't think I fully understand," he says slowly. "Are you saying... you want to ask my older brother out?"
"Well, not just me, probably," she replies. "He's pretty popular around campus..."
Jongin gapes.

"I begin to think you have deep-rooted issues," Sungyeol says from across the kitchen table. He doesn't look up from his own cell phone as he speaks. "Do you want to talk about it, Sungjong-ah?"
"No, I just want Sunggyu on his hands and knees, wiping the floor," Sungjong replies, in a tone that is far too indifferent for the words he's saying.
"Kinky," Woohyun murmurs.
Sungjong doesn't even look up. "You can clean with him," he says. "I'm still beating you, too."
Sungyeol makes a mental note not to piss Sungjong off while the rules are still in force.

"Uh," Myungsoo answers. "Maybe... two hours?"
"Myungsoo," Dongwoo says, looking at him with the look that Hoya calls Dongwoo's disappointed parent gaze. "That's not healthy, you know."
"I got a little carried away," Myungsoo says, with a certain tone of helplessness. "It's just -- you finish one level, you know? And you're like, ah, okay, I'll be done now. But then the next level starts, and... well."
"Personally, I don't see what the problem is," Hoya says as he walks back into the living room. "He looks even more like his namesake now."

1. i really, really, really like to think that i give people the benefit of the doubt whenever i can, but
2. my experience is biased, and this is probably something i'll just always be sensitive about.
communication is always a tricky thing, and meaning is so easily lost or misinterpreted. the way you interpreted it is in a very specific way, and sometimes i do that as well -- like the "sekai hears voices one", or the one about sungyeol seeing things that aren't real -- i deliberately chose to interpret those in ways that didn't imply (existing) mental disorders. if anon had requested it in the specific situation you're suggesting, i probably would have been okay with it. but i just... really didn't feel comfortable with that way it was phrased. when i read it, i saw it in a broader sense, and it just hit a little too close to home.
honestly, i don't believe that whoever requested it (or anybody who requested other things which i have declined to write in the past) did so with any negative intent. there are just some things i'm not comfortable with writing, and that has more to do with me and my preferences than anything else. i don't blame people for not knowing my personal boundaries; that would just be outrageous of me to ask for.
generally speaking, i get a lot of enjoyment and happiness out of being able to fill prompts. i don't like to turn them down if i can help it! i just ask that people respect the reasoning behind my decision to turn down certain prompts, and if they would like to request something else -- which i'm totally open to, ofc! -- to keep that in mind for the future. i hope that my stance on this issue is reasonable; feel free to tell me if that isn't the case.

After accidentally discovering their new mental connection, Sehun does what any good friend would do and bombards Jongin with inappropriate thoughts at inopportune moments. "Chanyeol is staring at that MC's tits," Sehun thinks to him just as Jongin is asked a question about their album.
Jongin blanks out for a moment before he remembers he's supposed to be answering. "Ah, sorry," he says. "Our new single is a mix of urban sound with tribal influence, and..." He trails off, because Sehun is keeping up a highly graphic running commentary of Chanyeol's attempts to discreetly ogle the female MC, which gets side-tracked by a story of some time Sehun walked in on Chanyeol jerking off.
"I didn't want to fucking know so much about Chanyeol hyung's dick, Sehun," he thinks. "Especially not in the middle of a television interview."
Even though Sehun's sitting behind him, he can picture Sehun smirking in his mind's eye vividly. "Yes, well, I didn't want to ever see Chanyeol hyung's dick up close and personal, so we can't all have what we want," Sehun replies mentally.
Next to him, Joonmyun clears his throat, and it occurs to Jongin that he's been sitting around in glassy-eyed silence for almost half a minute. "Sorry," Joonmyun says. "Kai has been working really hard, he must tired."
The MC smiles and leans forward slightly and Jongin has a realization about just how low-cut her top is. He hadn't had the slightest thought about her breasts before Sehun started waxing poetic about them, but now he can't get them out of his head -- literally. "Pervert," Sehun thinks delightfully. Jongin stifles the urge to sigh deeply and vows to learn how to block Sehun out as soon as possible.
