Hello! Which book(s) are you currently reading?

Finally finished Huysmans' À rebours. Didn't get past the introduction when I started reading it some months ago. Planning to read A Room of One's Own and Vonnegut's Armageddon in Retrospect next. I also want to pick up some books I never finished last year this January and read a few books for a course that starts next month. However, I need to concentrate on exams and papers first. :(

hi Kim! As a big fan of your style and taste i was wondering what you think of these APC sandals?http://trini-g.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/apc-sandals.jpg I found them in sale, but in doubt whether to buy the "classic" high wedge APC sandals in tan or so. Thank you!

These are really nice if you're looking for a pair of (almost) flat soled sandals. It's not easy to compare models because they're so different in a way. Ideally, I'd get both pairs but if you just want to buy one pair of sandals, I'd get the wedges. :-)

Hello, happy new year! Are you going out for NYE or staying in? I wonder, do you ever buy pants from the men's section? I remember I had a few pairs from the boy's section when I was a kid and was very unhappy about that but some women's pants don't suit my figure at all

Staying in, possibly boring myself to death. Feeling sad and annoyed as hell. I think I'll just curl up with a book.
Anyway... Apart from vintage 501s I bought men's jeans as they don't suit my figure.
I hate shopping for jeans. Asking a sales person to help you look for the right pair (from the men's department) might be helpful? ;-)

What present did you get for Christmas? And which ones did you receive?

We usually don't celebrate Christmas with presents, but my sisters and I surprised or parents and each other with some small presents. I bought my mom a red silk blouse, got coffee beans for my dad, body scrub for my youngest sister and I offered to pay for a sweater my sister ordered last week. My sisters got me two packs of tights and a pretty purple lipstick.

What good deed did you do this week?

I scrubbed my parents' bathroom, made pancakes for breakfast and baked two pies. :$

It's not greasy and absorbs pretty quickly but I don't find it moisturizing enough. The consistency is a little thin/watery. It's fine for during the day as it won't smudge eye makeup. Won't purchase it again though, I'm not loyal to one particular eyecream anyway. I just buy whatever I find when my current one runs out. I would recommend Kiehls, Mario Badescu, Dr Marbert and Clarins though!

Why would you buy cashmere sweaters from the mens section? Do you prefer the cut? Or do you agree with the iedea that the quality is better? What I don't like about men's tops is the collar, I find it a bit strangly sometimes, too narrow :)

Uhuh, better cut and better quality (and often better prices). Agreed, men's collars can be quite high cut and narrow. :(
