How do you usually celebrate your birthday? Do you give treats or a party ? What are the customs in your country?

I don't really celebrate my birthday as I don't care about my own birthday. I don't ever throw parties nor do I invite family and friends. I do always make a point of other people's birthdays. I try to find the best presents and I usually bake a cake and write a birthday card.
We (my family) celebrate with getting cake/pastry and dining out.
I don't know. Inviting friends and relatives over for snacks, coffee and cake in the afternoon is typically Dutch, I suppose.

How often do you see your bf? Are you guys gonna live together soon?

On the weekends usually. During the week too, if our schedules allow it. Even though we both would like to be together always, it ain't happening in the near future. I have my own apartment and studies on the other side of the country and I don't see myself living and working on his side of the country. Maybe he'll move to The Hague or Rotterdam someday or at least keep an apartment here -as he already half jokingly suggested a couple of times...

What did you do this passed weekend?

Spent time with my boyfriend. We went to see Captain Fantastic, watched one or two movies and loads of Modern Family episodes at home. I read a bit, ate a lot.

No, not at all. I got Stan Smith sneakers about three weeks ago.

I just finished Mothering Sunday by Graham Swift. Up next is Constructing Postmodernism by Brian McHale.

Chanel n5 perfume and soap, Tom Ford red lipstick, Nars concealer, lingerie from Agent Provocateur, La Perla, COS, & Other Stories, books, records, a leather bag, a new watch, Gazelle sneakers, money to get my old shoes repaired, a new dish rack, a romantic weekend trip, earrings.

My God, your skin is flawless! May I ask what brand the sweater and skirt you are wearing? And your lipstick? It has the perfect colour!

My skin is truly awful right now. My left cheek is covered with zits. Alas, makeup and good lighting...
The sweater is from Monki and the skirt is Forever21, both at least two years old. Lipstick is Intense Nude from Estée Lauder!

Haha, thank you. I only got two pairs of socks for Sebastiaan. His birthday is coming up and I'm giving him fancy socks and a lovely edition of Aubrey Beardsley and Oscar Wilde's Salome.

Sure. I think navy and black go well together. Unless you only wear black (bottoms), then you might as well go for black shoes too.

I want to buy the adidas Gazelle but hesitating between the normal ones or the og? And in navy or Black? Which ones would you get?

There isn't really that much difference. OG in navy maybe?

What are your favorite sneakers?

I just got a pair of Stan Smiths (believe it or not). I like gazelles, superstars, new balance. Generally all the 'vintage'/80s styles by Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Puma.

Which kind of boots/shoes do you wearing during winter?

Chelsea boots, suede over the knee boots, Marant dicker boots, more ankle boots, loafers, sneakers, flats, pumps.

What are your favorite Kiehls products?

I haven't tried many products, but I like the midnight recovery line, avocado eye cream and bb cream.

Last question! Did you meet your parents in law already? Im so scared to meet mine... Im kinda really shy and socially akward. Any tips?

Yes, I met them a few months ago. My boyfriend told me yesterday his mom said I could come and visit them at their house sometime too, if I'd like to, haha. I'm shy and socially awkward too. I didn't really talk much. I just smiled and nodded politely through the whole thing. 8-)

Haha, Amy! :) Did you also go out with him once? Sorry for all these questions, we just got together and its so scary and exciting everything...

We've never been out dancing. He's too old for clubs and I'm not much of a dancer/going out person anyways, haha...

What are your weekend plans?

My weekend in retrospect: went to Rotterdam on Friday with my boyfriend to go to museum Boijmans, Macbeth at the movie theatre and Indonesian takeout in the evening. On Saturday we went to the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague and had lunch at the beach, drinks with my roommate in the evening and Yesterday we had coffee somewhere and bought a case at an antique market. Afterwards I went to see Bacalaureat, which was really good.
