Incoming college freshman here! Any advice?

congrats! furthering your education is always admirable and you worked hard for it so you definitely deserve a congratulations :) can i assume you'll be dorming/have roommates?
- ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR TOWEL WHEN YOU GO TO THE SHOWER. i have forgotten my towel one too many times in my day...
- step out of your comfort zone and socialize with multiple groups of people! if you live on co-ed floors, that's a great way to meet new friends. attend the events on campus, join a club, try out for intramural sports if you're not already on a sports team, rush in greek life, or just make some friends in class. establish connections as early as you can!
- while socializing (and partying) is a great way to have fun in college, it can also be a huge distraction. make sure to always keep academics a priority - it is the main reason you're in college after all - and work hard! don't beat yourself up if you don't get the grades you want or if things seem to be more difficult that you anticipated, that's what college is all about. be determined to brush it off and continue to work towards your goals!
- keep an eye out for potential career opportunities. this could be an on campus job, doing research, getting a part-time off campus job, or just reaching out to a career counselor and figuring out what your options are after college. i know it's overwhelming having to think about life after college when you've just started, but it's never a bad thing to try and stay ahead.
- enroll in a class you're actually interested in. if you've already claimed a major, try signing up for a class in something that is completely out of your element - you'd be surprised at how much you can learn! if you haven't claimed a major yet and are 'undecided', this is the perfect opportunity to try a bunch of different classes to help you figure out what your passions are.
- you will have a lot of free time in college - make sure you use it wisely. work on time management skills because come midterm/final season, if you don't know how to juggle socializing, extra-curricular activities, and studying, it'll be really difficult for you to keep your sanity.
- there are going to be days when you want to skip class (don't worry, we've all been there) and it's natural for you to skip a few, but don't be that student who NEVER goes to class. not only is it a huge waste of money, but it'll bite you in the ass at the end of the semester when you have that huge project due or an important test and you're scrambling to find notes/assignments you've missed.
most importantly, have fun and be safe. college is a place of self-discovery and don't be afraid to challenge yourself, have a few mental/emotional breakdown's (because again, we've all been there), try new things, and be open to change. it's also okay if you feel like you have no idea what to do with your life - trust me, you're not alone. but don't give up.
good luck my friend! i hope you have a wonderful first year at college :)

I had a blog when I lived in Italy but haven't carried it on since getting back. I really want to get into blogging, but I struggle to think of things to write about! I love reading other people's blogs, though.

you should totally get back into it! your blog is probably fabulous. i think the reason i struggle to keep up with my blog so much is because i never know what to write about! but now that i'm going to start traveling more often, i have a feeling i will :) hope you enjoy reading my blog! it's super lame, lol.

would you still be a bridesmaid at a friends wedding? or not go because you don't believe in marriage?

i'd be that drunk bridesmaid who'd make a speech and expose all the screenshots i have of their texts during all the times they ever fought. i'd have an entire power point presentation ready to go with background music, word art, text effects, the whole shebang.

How does your experience with dating a bad boy compare to the way girls date bad boys in WP stories?

it doesn't.
dating a bad boy irl is literally nothing like it's portrayed in the stories, at least the one's that i've read. the 'bad boys' on WP are just rude and cocky. the bad boys irl...let's just say, you'd be in for a huge reality check if you ever happened to date one.
put it this way:
WP bad boys = actual sweethearts
RL bad boys = actual assholes

What kind of blog do you have? Would you share the link so I can shamelessly stalk? (You don't have to post this publicly if you'd rather keep it private)

HI TESSA <3 i'll send you a pm on twitter! :) i'm planning on making a new one though because now that i'm going to start traveling more, i want to document all of my travels on one space. the one i have right now is more of like a lifestyle/fashion/travel blog that i've literally had since high school (it's ancient). do you have a blog?

Have you ever been in love?

lol the answer to this is also yes and no?
i've only ever been in a real relationship once, and during that time i believed i was in love. but now, after years of being single, going through certain experiences, and just growing up, my perception on what being in love means is totally different than what i thought it was during the time i was in a relationship. so, at the time, yes i was in love, but looking back on it based on what i believe now, i don't think i ever have been.
does that make any sense or do i sound like a crazy person?

Do you believe in soulmates?

yes and no?
yes i believe in soulmates but not in the traditional romantic sense. i think you can have more than one soulmate in life. my best friends are my soulmates. my dog was my soulmate (sounds weird but he was). to me, soulmates are two souls who were meant to be together whether it be as friends, or family, or lovers. you can find soulmates everywhere. i don't believe in having only just one.

I love that you support the LGBT community <3

love is love! and it's unfortunate that some people think they're above the world enough to cast judgement upon anyone else when they're just as human as the rest of us.
