I'm Going Back Natural , Chemical Free . I just began the process , what are some products you are welling recommending me to use & any additional hair tips ?
Read thru these questions because I've answered this many times Definitely invest in DevaCurl and get yourself a real stylist that will guide you in the right direction. Obviously stop straightening it with heat and chemicals!
I want to get braids done, do you reckon they'd damage my curls?
If they're too tight & sealed with oil it could create breakage! Braid with a moisturizing gel, cream or conditioner & you'll be fine.
I'm gonna put a weave in my hair and leave some of my hair out and straighten it. Is that ok
The hair you straighten will be damaged from heat
How can I get thicker hair
Get regular trims, avoid all straightening, damaging chemicals & use good products.
If oils don't do anything for hair.. Does that mean Moroccan oil or argan oil isn't doing anything for my hair?
I've had good luck with the Moroccan Oil brand. I like to apply a tiny drop of the oil to DRY curls to add shine. I wouldn't cost wet curls with oils because it will build up. The shampoos, conditioners & styling products work pretty good but I still prefer DevaCurl. I've never tried the Argan Oil
What products do you recommend for curly thick frizzy hair?
My ends split way to much, I can never maintain length because I always end up having to cut my hair cause of my ends. How can I possibly make my hair stronger against breakage to prevent this?
How to deal with split end prevention & get stronger hair?
Regular trims & definitely get the #DevaCut which is a curl by curl dry cut I offer. Obviously condition your hair, avoid all straightening & no perms or relaxers.
How do you hydrate hair?
Cleanse with sulfate free shampoo & use conditioners that don't have parabens, oils or heavy build up. Avoid blowfrying it straight & chemicals like relaxers.
So if oils are bad for hair. What would you recommend to style hair and keep it from frizzing.
How do we know you're not just answering all these questions to push your product? You get great results but I've seen great results from ppl who use other products as well. Devacurl can't be the ONLY way.
Will DevaCurl help my hair to grow from frizzy/curly to pretty curls ? Or is it just gonna make it curly one day ? Thanks all the way from France, Paris.
It's a lifestyle commitment that will make your hair healthier & happier. Hydrating your hair properly will reduce frizz. Also avoid heat damage & chemicals that destroy curl pattern
What is your opinion on using henna to dye curly hair? Are there any other products you like besides DevaCurl?
I've seen henna used with good results but you're VERY limited & it's still unpredictable! I haven't seen anything better than DevaCurl yet
Is there anyway to grow longer hair then?
It will look longer when it doesn't have breakage or split ends.
What do you recommend for hair to grow and have the highest curl? I'm surprised that coconut oil isn't good for your hair!
Coconut oil sticks to hair. You want to make sure your hair products are water soluble. Hair doesn't have a stomach to break down the food to get out the nutrients.........they make topical products & nutrients you have to take internally. The best way to grow healthy hair is keeping it healthy before destroying it with heat & chemicals.
My hair is curly but the top is flat what should I do to get more volume
A different haircut, or clip the roots using the DevaCurl Curly Girl Method (google it) for extra lift. The diffuser helps
My hair is pretty damaged from straightning it so often. I live extremely far from where you situated, so I wanted to buy some DevaCurl products to get beautiful results like your pictures. Which ones do you recommend?
Spread the word about the side effects of straightening & heat damage. It's hard to tell without seeing your hair so I'd say co duly with your stylist & if they're not DevaCurl fans, you're in the wrong salon
Tips for my first devacurl cut?
Yes! Make sure your hair is freshly washed & DRY without hats, buns or clips. Style it as curly as possible. Slept on curls aren't ideal for the dry cut
when you use a diffuser every 2-3 days can you have it on high setting or is it damaging?
you need some heat to set & cold air to seal the cuticle layer. I give all my clients a lesson on caring & styling. You should consult with your stylist
I have bleached my curly hair. It's strong and it's recovering well. What do you recommend I do to help it recover even more?
Avoid heat or chemical damage. Invest in good haircare
Can you diffuse your hair everyday for curly hair or is it damaging
Definitely ok but you're supposed to wear your curls at least 2-3 days.
