You have a truly amazing hair, and the best thing about it is it's thickness. What makes it that thick? Henna? Or it's just that you naturally have a very thick hair? :)

Thank you so much!
Henna is part of the reason. It sits on top of your hair rather than penetrate it like regular hair colour does, so it makes it thicker and protects it as well.

Do you have any beauty tips? For skin, hair (besides Henna), etc. I would really appreciate it :)

The best tip I can give is to use natural products as much as you can. Your skin is your greatest organ, so you want to take care of it. On a daily basis, the products I use are mostly natural/organic. It helps a lot. :)

Is there a music album that you absolutely love, and you don't get tired of listening to?

"Thirteenth Step" by A Perfect Circle.

Do you have any favorite book or author?

I love some of Anne Rice's books, particularly her Vampire Chronicles. I also enjoy Dan Brown's writing... and of course, absolutely love Tolkien.

what's your daily routine? how many times you practice your dance during the week?

I practice dance as many days of the week as I can, but not every day. I aim for 4-5 days a week. Although I casually will dance almost every day for a little bit, though not focussing too much on improving myself.

Which brand of make-up, eyeliner, mascara and/or lipstick, do you use or recommend?

For daily use, I go for only natural/organic or at least paraben-free products that I know do not test on animals. Years ago when I started wearing makeup, I bought anything regardless of the ingredients. Nowadays I try to do my research before I purchase from any brand, because not only do I feel better knowing that my skin is being treated nicely, but also because I know that no animals were unreasonably harmed for the making of that product.
One of my favourite brands nowadays has to be Tarte. They have everything you could need from foundation to mascaras and lipstick.

What's your tip on gracious arms when bellydancing, as I've noticed, your arms are one of the most gracious arms I've seen! Any advice, to someone who's eagerly passionate about bellydancing also. ^_^ Love and care! You are the greatest inspirer for me. :')

Thank you for the kind words!
I don't think about my arms much when I dance, though in the back of my head I always try to have them in a position that looks nice. I think that focussing too much on arms, at least for me, makes them stiff.
My advice is to just keep dancing. You only grow if you continue doing what you love. :)
Thanks again!

What was your age , the first time you danced in front of people?

I was 18, and it was in front of my family in in Iran, when I visited after many years.

Hi Foo, How about posting some old pictures of you, as a teenager or a child, for example? I think it'd be nice, I'm very curious about this kind of thing and I'm sure many of your other fans are curious too :D Btw: sorry if I've made any (grammar) mistake in this sentence. Sweet kisses, Karen Alves

Hi Karen!
It's a great idea. So far I have just one photo up of me as a baby. I don't have many scanned photos of myself as a teenager (we only took film photos till only a few years ago), but possibly I will try to scan a few and share some day. :)

What does "Mahafsoun" mean?^^

Mahafsoun is an original name I created for myself to use in the arts world. It consists of 2 Farsi words.
Mah - Moon
Afsoun - Spell, Bewitchment, Magick, Sorceress

I´m from Colombia and I watch your videos like ...everyday :).I do bellydance too, I just started a few months ago. I´m over- weight (tall: 1.70, weight: 82 pounds) What do you think about plus -size bellydancers?¿Does the moves look different? Sorry for my english, greetings from Colombia :)

Thank you for your support! I really appreciate it.
I think all women of all shapes, sizes, colours and backgrounds can bellydance. That is one of the main beauties of this art form. It isn't just for certain women, but for ALL women. I love watching what you may call "plus-sized" bellydancers, but I don't see them as "plus-sized". I see them as women doing what they love and embracing one of the most beautiful forms of art. As long as you do it with your heart, it will look beautiful.
Keep up what you love to do, and I wish you the best. :)
