I cant really expres my self...i wish i could do that like u do.. Im a belly dancer to,but i have some extra pounds and im affraid to take off my clothes to dance. to expres muself, so all y negative energy i keep inside. What do u recomend me to have confidence, btw u are my guru :) keep it on <3

Thank you for those sweet words, means a lot to me. :) Like I said before and will always say, you have to love yourself somehow. Works differently for everyone. You have to understand that women normally gain and lose weight throughout a short period of time. That is how most of our bodies work. In the bellydance scene, women of all sizes come together and join through the mutual love they have for this art. Also, you have to see all the masters of bellydance that exist who are gorgeous, curvy and successful. ;) I can go on and on for hours, but see the beauty in yourself. Women are beautiful.

Do you use anything in particular on your hair to stop it from becoming frizzy or tangled, or does henna have that sort of effect? Or is it just naturally un-tangley?

Henna helps a lot, but my hair gets frizzy sometimes either way, especially with Vancouver's weather. I use Josie Maran's Argan Oil. I buy it from Sephora.

i heard that iran is really conservative. how do you live in here? i asked that cause you're really stunning and and really goth...

I don't live in Iran. I live in Canada. Thanks for he compliment.

When you played a video game back in your past years, what was your favorite video game you ever played?

I have to pick 2, because I loved them equally. SIMS (any of them) and GTA San Andreas.

have you ever suffered from self-esteem issues? i find it hard to expose myself when i dance, i'm scared of people's reaction when they see my body. i've been always told that i'm ugly and people make jokes about me. i don't know how to handle it. what can i do? because i really love to dance.

I'm really sorry to hear that, but understand that what you suffer from is very, very common. You're simply surrounded by horrible people who are of no help towards your passion. Get rid of them first. Then, analyze yourself. Love yourself, be it physically or spiritually. Realize that the only person who you should please is yourself, and only then, perhaps someone you love or care deeply about. Your happiness and passion should come before that of negative people. If you love to dance, really, go for it. If bellydance is your passion, then look at how many kinds of women are involved in this world. Thin, curvy, all shapes, sizes, colours and looks. Most of the women (and men) in this scene are wonderful... and if they don't treat you well... oh well, then get rid of them and focus on you and your love for dance. :)

ever thought of a facial piercing? which one do you like the best?

I have thought about it of course. The ones I have considered are the nose and the eyebrow.

Do you have any interest in the occult? Magic maybe..

I've been fascinated with everything concerning Ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) spirituality and paths for some years now. There is a very thin line between the information provided in books, and what would be considered "occult", or "secret knowledge". You know, reading between the lines and aiming to understand what isn't clearly described.

What brand(s) of makeup do you use for photo shoots?

I use Tarte, Bareminerals, Bite, MAC, Smashbox... a bunch of others. Pretty much anything paraben/chemical-free, as natural as it can get, or at least brands that don't test on animals.

How would you defend belly dancing against those who say it's not really an art but just a form of an erotica outlet, what would you say to them?

I think that Bellydance is indeed exotic and sexy, sensual and extremely feminine. Yet it is Art nevertheless... and "how" it is done varies from one dancer to another.
Of course, some dancers choose to do it in a more exotic-focussed fashion, with barely-there outfits and overly sexual moves, but that is just their way of dancing. I don't thank that seeing a bellydancer performing in that fashion at some bar should suddenly define the rest of us. I believe that people need to research other dancer's styles before judging that all bellydancers do it just to "be erotic".

was it hard taking care of your industrial piercing? how long did it take to heal?

It's the most uncomfortable piercing that I have, to be honest. It is still not healed. That part of your ear is cartilage and usually takes around (for me, more than) a year to heal. My industrial piercing in particular gets caught in my hair very often, so when I have to get my hair trimmed or styled by someone else, I have to keep reminding them not to pull on it. That's the downside of having so many piercings on your ear, especially an industrial, when you have hair long enough to get wrapped around it.

What are your thoughts on Shakira? :3

Even though I don't listen to her music, I think that she's a talented artist, and I like how she incorporated bellydance into her art.

What about fake eyelashes? If not, what's your secret for them? They're beautiful.

I wear fake eyelashes only for photoshoots. For every day, I can't stand something heavy on my lids, it irritates me. I just wear black mascara. That's every woman's secret I guess. :P

you dyed your hair? how you can be thin? uses fake nails? you're beautiful * - *

You're kind! I dye my hair black with indigo (black henna), and never used fake nails. My nails are shorter now too, since they break often in winter, so I trimmed all of them.

What is your equipment when recording your bellydance videos, when you do your photoshoots or your own photographic works? Which camera (or cameras) models you own? Would you recommend me any?

I use a Canon 60D for recording the better quality, more recent bellydance videos and photoshoots, often alongside a Canon Powershot SD960 IS which I also use for basic photos. Those are the only decent cameras I own and find myself using for everything.

I always seem to hurt my back when I practice my belly-dance, any idea of what could I be doing wrong? I'm self taught as well :)

I do that sometimes too, if I haven't stretched enough. Make sure that you stretch your back very well before you start. That could be the reason. :) Good luck!

What your favorite metal band?

I can never answer that, only because I listen to so many metal bands, and go through periods of time when I listen to one more than the rest.

Will you please take the time and explain to me your love for Goth? I would be more than happy to read about it. Or maybe you can post a video for that matter if you have time. :)

I simply love the dark beauty behind the gothic subculture. There are so many lines of gothic fashion nowadays, but I'm drawn towards the Victorian.
