What would you do if every other character in Melee besides Puff were banned?

Be a criminal? I'm all about that .zip life man.

So how about that m2k-sportsmanship-SD versus Mango. So much respect huh

If anything it shows how casual the scene is. That would NEVER happen in any high level competition.

what is your favourite animal?

penguins. they never bother me and they're fluffy, totally unlike humana v:

is armada going to evo/mlg?

With how much he is travelling/playing atm, and since he doesn't have work/school iirc, I'm pretty sure he is.
Go ask him though.

What shampoo do you use to make your hair so fabulous?

uh, something tresemme or some shit? I don't remember LOL.

will you be streaming practice more often with evo/mlg coming up?

Yeah, going to stream both Smash and KOF/Marvel. Going to try and do lots of match reviews and theorycrafting too, really everything as far as competitive fighting games go.

please destroy m2k and mango <3 luv u leffen

Why does everyone forget Dr. PeePee? That guy won Apex, lol.
and yeah, I'm going to destroy all of them. thanks.

From your general recommendation, I'm definitely going to check out Hyouka. Have you ever watched Psycho Pass? The main villain is incredible; the writer for the show wrote madoka magica.

Yeah, I loved Psychopass. Can't wait to see what they come up with for next season :>

is this a stupid question?

if you realize that the question is stupid you're probably of above average intelligence... though that doesn't make this question any less stupid. You're stupiddddd.

I usually hear people say Hyouka is incredibly bland and almost impossible to sit through. Is this valid at all?

It doesn't have huge explosions and fan service. It's generally pretty witty, a bit more "real/natural" and keeps you entertained visually IMO, but for some people it's "boring". On a scale with "Michael bay movies" on one end and "Breaking Bad" on the other, its definitely closer to BB.
Myself I just really enjoy shows with intelligent MCs and shows that don't assume you're retarded, and Hyouka fills that spot perfectly for me.

Should I take your new Facebook banner / Twitter icon as a strong endorsement of Hyouka or was it just a convenient piece of imagery for the joke? Haven't watched Hyouka, but I trust your taste in things

I love hyouka and I think its objectively very good as well (and it has received a lot of positive reviews etc too).
It's a very well made slice of life/drama/mystery, that really just does exactly that. It also has top tier visuals and soundtrack
It is not for everybody though, as it is "slow" and doesn't have any anime tropes (which I adore, but some people love their tsunderes).
Definitely check it out tho.
oh, and download that shit in 1080p, dont you fuckin dare stream it.

Would you ever go falco against m2k considering he tends to struggle more vs falco than fox?

Picking Falco against M2K is like riding a bicycle with the training wheels on. It's way too easy and not nearly as much fun.

A quick question - After my opponent techs on a platform and I have enough time for either wavelanding and techreading with an upsmash or waiting under the platform and doing an upair, what should I chose? (I am asking as a Fox player, indeed)

Depends on percent, how they DI and stage. Generally though, you won't have time to cover neutral tech with waveland usmash so I prefer Uair.

"at least try to google it :v" I totally did Google it. A little bit. People seemed to have varying opinions so I wanted to see yours. As I understand it, fundamentals are mindset, knowledge, and ability to focus on your opponent. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/516492-super-smash-bros-melee/59000656

Alright, so that is your take. Now search more. Since the fundamentals are the core, the most important things needed in order to succeed, and there is not one simple answer to it. But the point is, that only a fucking retard would think that being able to quad shine someones shield is that important, yet some people spend their time practicing that instead of what they (at least should) know is more important.

I think the samus that beat Hax could beat you as well. What do you think?

I beat Darrell at Apex2012 and now recently Apex2014. Both were convincing 2-0s, and I had been maining Fox for less than a month at Apex 2012. No johns.

Is there any way to practice fundamentals when you don't have an opponent on hand? Or rather, are fundamentals all things that pertain directly to your interaction with the opponent? (I'm still trying to pin down the definition of fundamentals)

I really think you should at least try to google it :v

YOU HEARTLESS BASTARD TAKE WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT FROZEN BACK!

fuck you it was okay at best and you're never gonna be a disney princess keep dreamin you little girl fuck you mayne
Liked by: David Parlej

Which exotic place would you love to visit?

Asia. I've been to the US 7 times but I've never been to Asia. I'm half asian and I also love Asian culture. I'm stupid for not going there yet .__.

Why do you hate Disney movies

I don't, but anyone trying to make Frozen seem like anything more than okay is just being stupid. It's not even one of the better "Disney" type movies...

Do you pride yourself on being one of the best trash-talkers in melee? Or are you just a salty dude who's good at video games?

I'm just a guy who actually says what he thinks, and who likes to be entertained. Since most everyone else in the Melee community is so damn afraid of conflict and critiscm to the point where they change themselves, I guess I am proud of being myself, however imperfect I may be.

What separates the Smash Gods from the Fighting Game Gods like Daigo, Justin Wong, Infiltration, etc.? And then what separates them from Starcraft gamers like Boxer, etc.? Which game do you feel is currently the most "developed" in the top professional scene?

Most developed fighting game is SF4, and most developed video game is SC2/LoL/Dota. For REALLY developed sports, go check out Football basketball, chess, tennis and so on.
For the rest of the question watch my interview, it really comes down to the ssbm community not having enough hunger, talent or smarts.

why do you hate "low tier heroes?"

Because you are not a "hero" just because you pick a low tier and almost make it out of pools, not to mention picking a high tier (like falcon) and thinking you're a hero while blaming all your losses on the character.
Pick a top tier, or stfu. 99% of low tier "heroes" just rely on gimmicks and the opponent not knowing the matchup anyway and most do far worse when picking a better character.

who do u think is the most technical player

not westballz ;)
On a more serious note, I think I'm already in top 5, and I'll be #1 in no time now that I'm starting my EVO training (although I'm focusing on melee, it definitely transfers over).

"I'm just not going to travel for it exclusively much, if at all, atleast until I start losing in Europe" You're letting yourself regress? Or maintaining the same level and waiting for people like Armada to catch up? What happened to slaying the other gods and becoming The Best There Ever Was?

During 2013 I more or less didn't practice Melee at all, and I still went from placing 17th (Apex 2013) to 4th (Apex2014), and that includes that the tournament size doubled. I improve my fundamentals while playing KOF, Marvel and SFIV which transfers over to Melee. However, this time, I'll be practicing Melee and keep on improving, it just won't be my main focus. This is still a HUGE increase than what I did before BEAST4/Apex 2014, and since I'll play much more KOF/Marvel I think the Melee side of things will keep up just fine =)
In regards to being "The Best There Ever Was", I don't think becoming the best Melee player means enough to set as a final goal. It's not hard enough.
I aim to become the best fighting game player. Period. I also want to push Melee to its absolute limits, but I don't think the current top players in Melee are good enough rivals for me if I want to achieve that goal by only playing Melee. To me, beating the melee "gods" will just be a stepping stone, but a step I will take nonetheless.
Right now, I don't feel pushed at ALL to practice Melee, because I win, or do (relatively) great anyway, but for KOF/Marvel/SF4, it's completely different.
I have to try and catch up against players like Daigo, Justin Wong, Chris G, Tokido and a ton of other incredible players, who have been playing all sorts of fighting games for over 10 years and who make a living time playing them. All while living in Sweden, a relatively bad region while also working/studying.
It's such a hilariously hard, borderline impossible task that I can't help but get motivated.

I see you close your eyes after losing your stocks in some matches, why do you do that?

It's simple really - I take some time to think and gather myself. The reason I close my eyes is just to shut out all unnessecary information and focus on whatever I'm thinking about.
Its weird that more people don't take advantage of the pauses you can take, but I suppose that goes to show how underdeveloped melee/fighting games are. Go look at other sports, you often use every time-out you can.

"His potential is heavily hampered by the mindset of those who play him, which is sad." Could you elaborate on what you meant by this when you described falcon players? What do you think top level falcons should be emphasizing that they currently aren't?

They just play really fucking stupid and focus on flashy shit and also commit for no reason (hax wavedashing in neutral comes to mind lol)
Abuse the fact that falcon is so incredibly simple (read: not easy) and focus on his strengths (speed, braindead bnbs from everything and so on) instead.

You've said you're not too crazy about your alias 'leffen', despite being better than a lot of dumb stuff out there (like numbers lol). Assuming you don't hate hypothetical questions, by what other alias would you want to be known as?

I was thinking of switching to "Anti-hero" recently (after evidence.zip when I joined the FGC) since my last name means "hero" in swedish and well.., I'm not exactly a hero :v

I think you're actually a great guy and I think you keep things real. Maybe you've made mistakes, but you show determination, perseverance and the inability to be crippled by those that harshly criticize you. Keep it up guy.

I'm flattered, but since it's very likely you just know my internet "persona" I'm a bit unsure of how happy I should be about this compliment :l

What fightstick are you using for KOF and Marvel?

The standard, tournament edition Madcatz stick. Most likely gonna buy one with silent buttons soon though.

Besides yourself, who do you think are the most attractive smashers? You, ADHD, and Hungrybox are all beautiful men (No homo of course)

Why are people so interested in what I find attractive? I get SO MANY of these questions, jeez...
oh, and in my experience, straight guys are usually pretty bad at rating what girls/gays consider "attractive" in a guy, so idk why you're asking me ._.

I'm a huge fan and I think any1 with a brain would put u in at least the top 8 players in the world. and I don't want to offend you but I want to know did you really used to be a jerk to other players ? have u changed ? or was it all rumors to begin with. & r u and Armada on good terms?

fuck you i love armada and mikehaggar they aree beuuuuutiful

Is there any advantage (however small) to having rumble on, or is it just personal preference?

Of course there are advantages, more information about what's happening is always useful.
