What game do you think compliments melee best if you're working on fighting game fundamentals?

KOF13 and 3rd strike if you want to LEARN imo

episode 2 was amazing tho! the one with the wedding, was really amazed. and ep3 ofc.

I skipped almost the entire ep 2 lol, I was so bored by the speech ._.' EP 3 was great though!

have you watched sherlock? this is like the best series in the whole world (imo) tooooooooooo good

Yeah, I recently rewatched it too c: beginning of S3 sucked tho, and I think its a tad too unrealistic and a bit over edited, but I really like smart shows. sucks having to wait 2 years for each season tho v_v

You often say you dont like techskill practice like waveshining for hours or people who concentrate on techskill while forgetting to focus on other more important aspects. still, you are amazing at ledgedashs and shdl's for example. So I guess this is something worth practicing a lot?

I am not amazing at shdl's fyi, I'm just smarter. I hold shield between my short hops, and since neutral B does nothing when you're shielding, just holding shield comes out, which I then react to and do another shdl/wavedash oos and so on.
Being able to move your character is important, but I'm not all that good on that since I'm too lazy to practice it. I fail sh nair like 1/10, which is pretty terrible for a fox main :v

Do you have any siblings? Do you go to school/have any non-smash friends? Did you drop out of school for smash?

i have a little sister. i also hate multiple questions, and yes I do have non smasher friends LOL

What do you think are some humanizing aspects of competitive gaming that the audience may not know? What do you think some people might not find interesting that you think deserves more attention?

For me, it'd be the pain of being a top player. There's tons of things that are a LOT worse than being bad, like never having a rival, never being able to play low tiers (or evidence.zip), you can't mess around, whatever you do people will notice, and so on. The worst part is that trying to explain any of this makes people think you're a huge douche because "you're good and we are not, how could you possibly have anything to complain about?"
While I still enjoy being good, I really miss some of the aspects of being bad, especially since I barely got any time to enjoy it.

What's your outlook on life religion wise, or lack there of?

I'm of at least average intelligence and I have access to google. I'm an athiest, but not the one of who spends his free time trying to convince people. People will stop believing in religion as the previous generations die, and the majority of people who do believe in religion are either too stupid, too ignorant, or both, to change their opinion.
That said, religion can have a positive effect for some people, but I am not one of those.

How can you be a lazy procrastinator and good at smash at the same time ? Considering the time you've been playing it's even more unlikely.

Don't ask me, ask all the people I beat why. It's not that I'm incapable of practicing more, its just that I don't feel any need to.

Do you follow kpop at all?

Nope, not really! I have some friends who are really into it and I don't mind occasionally listening to some of it, but not a huge fan.

Your attitude reminds me of Light Yagami. Do you take that as a compliment? ^^

woah woah woah woah dude now youre taking it a bit fa- well actually it is true. and yes. kira da besss

(SSBM) Hi, how much do yo value solo training? To which extent will you practice against CPU or even without. Also, I saw your message on reddit, you think of the SSBM community as a giant class, filled with mates, some you hate, some you like. What makes you hate certain players?

I practice some against computers, usually to fix an tech skill error or habit or to figure out some new things.
What I hate about certain players? Bad mindset, treating me/other people badly, anything really. The point is that they're not protected from being hated on just because they play the same video game

You totally remind me of Gilgamesh from fate/stay night. Cocky, arrogant and OP

don't forget lazy and beautiful :D

Have you watched House of Cards? If not, its a really good series and you should check it out :]

Yep! Gonna start watching season 2 as soon as I get some free time :v

Sorry, two questions here. How much do you play friendlies at tournaments and do you also play against people lot worse than you? What do you do in your free time (=any other hobbies than being awesome at video games)?

I do play friendlies, but at bigger tournaments I usually reserve time for either warming up, relaxing, or playing with good friends. I don't mind playing against people worse than me, but I'm also not a saint and I can't stand playing some kinds of players for too long. As long as you're motivated, trying to learn and fun to play with (talking is fine :v) I don't really mind if you're bad. It's the mindless scrubs who don't even get angry when they lose that bore me.
I do a lot of things in my free time, but it really depends on my mood. Big fan of good movies/series, big fan of good food (very picky eater :>), I love just talking about anything and everything with some friends, trying to find time to pick up drawing again (was one of my main interests when I was younger) and I'm also trying to learn the guitar and relearn how to sing (lolpubertyfuckedmyvoiceupbad). But most importantly, I love procrastinating, being lazy and just spend a whole day listening to music and not speaking to anyone =D

What do you feel is the main differences between fox in the different versions of the game?

Upsmash strength and up B length/speed (it has the same duration, but more distance =better priority/harder to react to).
I recently realized how fatal the usmash nerf really is. There are a lot of kill combos that simply don't work in PAL, like weak nair/bair or fair into usmash or dash attack usmash, so its an actual utility nerf (since nair/bair/fair/dashattack get a lot worse at higher %) and not only "you'll kill but 15% later".

How are you so awesome? Seriously though, do you have any life advice you think most people could benefit from?

Life advice? I guess something like:
"The best time to plant a tree was 15 years ago. The second best time is right now" would help. Really though, I'm just a teenager, so maybe something like "fuck da police" is more appropriate?

So how was it to face M2K's Marth on FD as Fox?

I learned how I should play against him from this time, I'll get him next time ;)

What character did you get Gladiator with in WoW?

Got Gladiator on Mage several times and on Stormscale, and got glad with rogue on another server. I played most chars to above 2.2k but those were mostly just boosting friends chars to shoulders/weps

Do you have a playlist of music you listen to during tournaments?

I usually just tend to queue some songs from my Spotify Playlist, in general I just try to listen to whatever I feel like at the time =)

Do I need to tell you how amazing you are or host a tournament for you to answer my questions about the game ? Nevermind...

Jonathan Montenez
I have over 100 unanswered questions (and no one else has whine about me not answering) and yours is both boring and partially answered before. Quit your bitching, jesus.

What kind of gel do you use?

I use hair wax, with a dry finish. My hair is incredibly thick though and I usually don't even need to add much if anything to it, so you should probably ask around some next time you get a hair cut and see what they recommend.

What do you think the top 10 melee players right now are in your order. Including yourself

NO. Lists suck. I'm going to win, that's all you need to know. fuck you and all you list people.

Who do you think are the top 5 Peaches? After watching people like Trif and Excel_Zero there seem to be a lot of really cool Peaches that aren't very well known.

I don't understand why so many people want these braindead lists without even requiring a reason to which peach I place where.
0. my peach
1. random girl smasher who only dsmashes
3 because second place sucks. justin wong
4. no.
5 oh wait with 0 that makes this 6 uhhhh. jesus.
I really hate boring questions.

what's what are the things i should know to become not bad at fox? *follow up - what should i do once i'm not bad?

Don't look for any short cuts, there aren't any worth taking. Come back with an actual question.

What do you think the "correct" mindset is when playing falcon?

As long as you don't play with the same mindset as those who call edgehogging and using c-stick "gay and unfair" you'll be fine.
Sadly, falcon mains aren't the smartest of people.

yo lefferino do you also play non-fighting games?

Of course! Competitive wise, I was Gladiator on Stormscale EU (best server) in WoW which took up a ton of my early teens gaming wise.
Other than that I play almost any game genre as long as the game is interesting and I'm in the right mood. Currently trying to find time to play Metal Gear Rising, the old Final Fantasys (6,7,10 is my current plan) and I'm also currently playing FE: Awakening on my 3DS and trying to pick up Bravely Default too ;v

Favorite/ least favorite anime?

Favorite changes all the time, but Ano hana definitely has a special place in my heart. Least favorite? hmm, White Album 1 maybe or just any trope filled shitfest that I can't remember the name of :v

Your best 3 animes? :D

My favorite changes all the time, but 3 anime you should definitely see if you haven't;
1. Death note (duh)
2. Evangelion (crazy and huge cultural impact)
3. Ano hana (good dramas are very rare in anime, and it just does exactly what it wants and nothing else)

Your outlook on life seems very well-developed, especially for someone so (relatively) young. Do you have any favorite books?

Hehe thanks :v I guess it could since I'm such an extreme perfectionist I constantly try to reconsider my approach to life? Or maybe it's just because I've been through a lot c:
I used to read tons of books when I was younger, but I've been reading a lot less lately since I simply got other interests. My favorite books has to go to the Harry Potter series though (boring, I know), I reread those too many times as a kid to pick anything else haha :)

What are you best and worst matchups?

Best? Probably Marth or Peach. Worst? Hm, I'm pretty weak against Doc and Falcon, other than that probably some low tier but those aren't really relevant haha.

I'm the huh question. What I'm talking about is the way Colbol killed you on your first or second stock of game 1—you were recovering high with up B, pretty far out, but he was able to get you with bair using the momentum of his moonwalk.

Shine turnaround is probably better overall, since it requires less commitment and is overall more practical. Not a huge difference though...

What songs were you listening to when you crushed armada? I'm a big classical music fan, so any insight into your general melee playlist would be cool. What are your favorites?

I wasn't listening to classical music when playing Armada or the whole loser bracket of BEAST, sorry to dissapoint :>
Since I was so salty after the power outage and how shitty the tournament was ran, I tried to channel all my anger further by listening to some angtsy teenage music. So punk/rock mostly, along with some osts. I could link you if you'd like, but I figure you're not after that type of music anyway :>

What's better for Fox edgeguarding Foxes who do their high up Bs too close: turn around moonwalk to jump dj bair, or dash jump to shine turnaround bair? I feel more comfortable doing moonwalk to cover the ledge in case the enemy does fadeaway side B instead, but I don't know if I'm missing anything?

huh?
