I read a tweet on our timeline a few days ago, it said "Katanya kalo ngucapin selamat Natal berarti sama aja kayak pindah agama, jadi sorry ya gak ngucapin tahun ini." I seriously felt like laughing, like dood dat iz sofa king dumb
I don't know much about Islam and I don't know the exact reason behind why saying "Merry Christmas" to Christians is a sin or whatever, but I personally think it's dumb. Unacceptably dumb. I mean, last year it was okay to say "Merry Christmas", why is it a problem now? I don't get it. That's weird. My brain cannot process that. It doesn't make any sense to me. If you have a problem saying it to Christians you may as well not take days off every Christmas and you can just pretend they don't exist. You know what? It's disrespectful cause it's like you people despise them so much. I'm not saying that everyone must say "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to Christians every Christmas, but c'mon do you really have to acknowledge something like that publicly?? In my opinion, saying "Merry Christmas" if you don't celebrate it is nothing more than an act of good societal manners. I don't know what or how these people have been taught, but honestly? What an embarrassment it is to be disrespectful, and like proud.
I'm not taking sides, I'm just amazed by the fact that it's almost 2014 now and there are still people who substantively do stuff like that.
