A bit of both, really. It depends on the "new friend". I usually attract nerds when I'm alone, and nerds are usually quiet and shy and stuff, you know, so..... I get pretty cerewet around them, looking for subjects they enjoy talking about. Whatever it is, just as long as it doesn't get awkward between us.
But when I meet a cerewet person, I just follow them.
