Tau gak, nyokap gue punya sepupu, menikah sama cowok Islam, but dua-duanya gak pindah agama. Mereka bikin perjanjian kalo punya anak cowok agamanya Islam, kalo anak cewek Kristen.
Akhirnya punya anak tiga; yang paling tua cowok, dua adeknya cewek.
Gue kan akrab sama keluarga besar nyokap gue ya.. Jadi gue sering ketemu sama mereka. Dari gue kecil sampe sekarang, apa pun yang terjadi, keluarga mereka yang sama sekali gak pernah kedengeran berantemnya dan susahnya. Paling harmonis.
Terus sekitar dua atau tiga tahun lalu, anaknya yang paling tua menikah sama orang Bali, agama Hindu. Bhinneka Tunggal Ika banget tuh satu keluarga... Gak ada hate sama sekali, kakaknya yang cowok is so baik, and all the three of them are very smart. Kind of nerdy gitu smartnya. Hahaha. Serius. Gak ngerti dididiknya gimana.
Menurut gue kepercayaan itu sama sekali bukan sesuatu yang harus dipermasalahkan.

Here's a little something to start out with: our Managing Editor is gay. He's been with his boyfriend for about 7 years now.
So, when I was in Bali (for Dreamfields tapi gak jadi itu) I went to Seminyak and found a lot of bumper stickers that pretty much say everyone is gay. There was "GEORGE IS GAY", "CHRISTIAN IS GAY", "JOHN IS GAY", and all... You know.
After searching for my friend's name (who's actually gay) for a while, I found the gay master of all gay bumper stickers. It says "THE BOSS IS GAY" hahaha I told my friends to "LOOK AT THIS!!! This is soooo great", I was excited because I got an extremely terrible idea. I wanted to buy it and I was planning to stick it on my editor's office door. But I ended up not buying it because I don't know why, I was stupid... Haha. When I got back to Jakarta and walked by his office I thought, "what a mistake that was..."
So then, 2 weeks ago my mom went to Bali and I asked her to buy it for me. What she bought is a little different than the one I saw, but like whatever.
My plan went well and now I'm happy (happy happy clap along if you feel like a room without a roof!)
He is currently taking a week off the office to write about Clubbing Race, and he gets back on Monday, SOOOO I'm doing this to surprise him ANDDD I can't wait til he sees it hahahaha

If we have a one-day holiday to honor you, how should we celebrate that holiday?
Spend the day with only yourself, do whatever you like/want, lock yourself in your room IF NECESSARY, and then write at least a page about it at the end of the day :) best therapy.
