I was gonna ask the same question as the other anon :( Why do the people that I have feelings for tend to love someone who doesn't really care for them that much. While I'm here ready to give everything, they're out there trying to convince others to love them back. :|
it's like this: if we got everything we ever wanted without working for it, would "want" even exist? we could just get anything, anytime, anywhere. that'd be boring. same thing applies to love. if you got everyone you ever desired, love would be meaningless. love is (roughly) working hard to get and KEEP that person because you're aware that there's a risk of losing him/her. applying it even further to your question, although you feel as if you can give the world to the person, they refuse to accept that world because they want to give their own to another. people are complicated. feelings are complicated. you might just want to give up on love altogether. but love isn't giving your all and asking for something in return, it's giving your all and just the thought of seeing them happy and appreciative suffices. of course, there should be boundaries you shouldn't cross, but always remember that love is not forced, it is a natural phenomenon. (sorry for being so vague but i hope i enlightened you!)
