I think it's a mixture of people being tired of the future setting, Activision not allowing people to buy COD 4 Remastered separately, Battlefield 1 looking hype & people jumping on the hate COD bandwagon.

There are 4 missable achievements but the game itself only takes about 1 hour to perfect.
