How do u feel about Samer Issawi's deal?

You call it a deal, but it's a victory that has been forced upon the occupier. They wanted him to continue his 26-year sentence; they failed. They wanted to extradite him from Al Quds; they failed. It's a clear victory, a victory of willpower over military might. A defeat of Zionism in its very core. Long live Samer Issawi!

Do you see many similarities between Arabs and South Americans in looks and culture?

Hmm, not really specifically, but then again, I am someone who sees huge similarities between all people of the world. Differences are always exaggerated. I think the distinctions are only on the surface. People are people. We are all the same. That surface variety just adds to the beauty.

How did your mother learn arabic?

My mother has an incredible knack for languages, she speaks many fluently. She learned it on the go, from my father and from speaking with us only in Arabic.

Does your mother consider herself Palestinian? How does she feel about the situation?

No she doesn't consider herself Palestinian. And of course she completely sympathizes with the cause. All people who have a sense of justice, sympathize with Palestine.

offcourse you do but my parents are from 2 different countrys and i feel like both, so i was just wondering..

Yes, and I wouldn't criticize that about you. This is actually the beauty of being a mixed product: you can choose to be either of both, or both at the same time. You choose both, I choose one. I don't choose one because I reject the other, not at all, but because I have little identification with it, little knowledge about it. I feel great about the choice I made and the upbringing I was given.

But if your mother is from the Antilles how come you only consider yourself Palestinian

Does a person not have the right to choose how he feels, and what he identifies with?

How is the youth in the Netherlands? Are there great activist for Palestine?

The pro-Palestine situation in the Netherlands is deplorable. There are some great activists for Palestine there, awesome people, but their numbers are very little. Also, there is a large Muslim community there, which has strong sympathies for Palestine but is quite inactive in expressing this support.

Which country is your mother from? Do you speak Spanish? Or Portuguese maybe?

From the Antilles (Caribbean islands). No, I was raised Palestinian. I even speak only Palestinian Arabic with my mother. I do understand Spanish pretty well though.

What was it like as a kid in the Netherlands?

The early years were wonderful. During adolescence, there were a lot of confrontations (with teachers and peers) stemming from the fact that the vast majority of Dutch are educated to be staunchly pro-Israel. This cast a bit of a shadow over the whole experience there.

Where is your family from in Palestine? Is both your paternal and maternal sides from same place?

We are from Ellar, a village in the vicinity of Tulkarm. My mother is from South America, not Palestinian.

Are you left handed or right handed?

I am both, which makes me essentially left-handed. However, the dexterity of my right hand is highly developed, which is very useful in surgery.

Is there anything you regret, among the things you did in your activism?

Not really. I have put a lot of time and effort in it. Perhaps I should have put in even more?

Do you have a lot of supporters in Holland?

I don't think I have that many. Then again, it's not always about quantity, sometimes quality matters more, and some of my greatest supporters live there. I have been vocal about many things there. I have criticized people who worked with or tolerated cooperation with Zionist organizations. That doesn't sit well with me. I consider it my duty to criticize that, especially if those same people say they care about Palestine. If I wouldn't speak up against that, it would appear that it is okay to be working with Zionists while being a 'Palestine-supporter'. In my opinion, this is totally not okay. Nevertheless, criticizing these people also pits people against you, so some people in the Netherlands who call themselves 'friends of Palestine' don't like me. Fine with me!

Why dont u go back to the Netherlands. U could do a lot of good there.

I wonder why you say that. Do you mean the Palestinian cause? I've done many things there. I didn't feel they were all that successful. I feel better about what I have been doing after having left that country.

some of ur articles are very critical of israeli activists. thats not constructive

Really? As long as the core elements of the Palestinian struggle are not compromised I welcome anyone who supports us. The ones I criticized were those who would not support the Right of Return, for instance, or who engage in Nakba-denial in some form or other.

Which element of the Palestinian struggle would u be willing to compromise on?

None. The Palestinian struggle is a struggle against racism, land-theft, oppression, and ethnic cleansing. All these issues are things you can't back down on. It would be immoral to do so.

If you could be a smurf for a day would you stay blue or choose a new color?

Blue is pretty cool, in that context. I think I would keep it.

Best way to cover a sneeze is the elbow! This proved by mythbuster men :))

Hahaha thanks for the info !

Why do attack ppl who are pro-Palestine but less radical than u?

I don't. I only attack those who say they are pro-Palestine but at the same time are for normalization with 'Israel'. In my view, these people don't count as pro-Palestine, even if they themselves think they are.

Who crossed the road first, the chicken or the egg?

Both at the same time, since the egg was still inside of the chicken and she laid it when she reached the other end of the road :p
