I apologie if my recent Asks and/or answers were strange, my brain has been microwaved due to the summer sun. It's so hot here!

Sunshine is lethal.

It's strange that in FL the sound quality is great: reverb is audible, no strange dithering, lossy sound and audio hiss. Wondering why it rendered like that? Anyways, tried to combine distorted old school rave sound and EDM elements and this happened: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/633054

It's a combination of illusions and technology. I like it. Nice visual effects as well.

Note that I'm trying to do a polished version of it. Not publishing it before it sounds good to me (it never does, LOL). But yeah, I'm almost finished with it. Upping on NG after rendering. Might sound repetetive tho, tried to do my best not to sound repetetive.

I'll just tell you this. EQ and Reverb are your best friends.

Correction, it's BassDrum. I think it changes (or fucks up) the frequencies and it creates very interesting results. Sound like a lazer. I think I used it on my "lazer" sound experiment in my FL Studio vid I sent you.

Major Lazer! OOOOOOH!
But in all seriousness, I'm quite interested in what you've done. Send me that link, and I'll do my analysis. Sound interesting.
Also, just realized how stupid Smart Strings are in Garageband. And how important EQ is.

It depends on what happened if it sticks with me. The last one from a few days ago has. Also, happy 900th answer.

Thanks.

To each their own. I don't mind the dreams I can't ever talk about. Just I worry if someone were to discover them. I've taken to writing down the strange ones in case I make any story ideas from them.

I remember vivid ones. I also remember dreams more if I am awakened in theiddle of the night

Ignore if this is a duplicate. Indeed they are. I don't dream often. But if I ever do they're cryptic, or something people wouldn't want to hear about, or it's a nightmare in which I employ my escape tactic and set myself on fire.

There are some dreams that I've had that people wouldn't want to hear about either. But I never have nightmares. Just weird dreams. One example is when I dreamed that an old man was chasing me because he wanted to shove Exedrin down my throat to make me overdose.

Actually it's Fallout 3. I've played some of Life is Strange but stopped since our mutual friend gave me the idea to make a play though/reaction video of it. Might start it again tomorrow. Yeah. It absolutely screws with you. Glad you got out of it now. I'm 20 and probably completely screwed.

Sleep and dreams are the weirdest, but most important parts of mental health. I just need to remember more dreams

Probably will if it hasn't already. I'm not kidding when I say I'm an insomniac. I just find things to do when I can't sleep. For instance; rendering part 13, downloading a game I was recommended to try, talking to you, and soon typing.

I'm going to assume that said recommendation is Life is Strange.
I used to spend a lot of time being awake as well. Mostly to watch YouTube. Though I eventually stopped doing it because losing sleep was screwing with me more and more as I got older.

I had an 8 am appointment on the 23rd and worked until 11 on the 22nd. So I figured screw sleep I'll play Arkham all night and sleep after my appointment. But to answer your question; not enough.

gabrielsyler33’s Profile PhotoWolf
That is quite worrying. I hope that doesn't permanently affect your health.

I'm just now getting through all the footage from my all nighter the day it launched.

Wow. How much do you sleep?

Fun fact: Richard D. James (Aphex) and Grant Wilson made their own label, Rephlex Records. It opened in 1991, but closed in 2013. In an interview, Rich said that he was really sad about it and this made the stuff released under this label much MUCH harder to find (take the Analord series for example

Epic Fail taken Up to 11. I wonder how it failed.

Warp Records: The Home of Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Flying Lotus, Clark, Bibio and more. My fav label. What's yours?

Well, I don't really follow labels, but I do look at a lot of Fly Eye Records stuff. It's home to Calvin Harris, Moguai, BURNS, R3HAB, and Jewelz and Sparks.
There's also Spinnin Records (home to Martin Garrix, Afrojack (formerly), Ummet Ozcan, Firebeatz, and Jay Hardway), and Protocol records, the home of Nicky Romero, Merk & Kremont, Volt & State, Vicetone, and Evol Waves.
And that's really it. I do follow my own artists that I find interesting, but I don't think they have (or at least I don't know what they have) record labels.

Very minor spoiler; Lex Luthor is in the game. I'm not putting anything past them as far as surprises. You'll find me kinda verbal about of few of them.

I figured

I'm just not a Superman fan. Personal preference. I mean it won't ruin the game for me. It'll just be like "I've done all this without your help why are you here now?"

gabrielsyler33’s Profile PhotoWolf
I get that.
I highly doubt Superman is in the game. Not a Rocksteady thing.

Some of the dialog among thugs has been referencing Superman. If he shows up in this I'm giving the series up.

gabrielsyler33’s Profile PhotoWolf
What's wrong with Superman in an Arkham game? I don't really care if he's in it, personally.

Fun fact: Richard D. James (Aphex Twin)'s most "dsturbing" song, Come to Daddy, is actually a death metal parody by Rich. He said this in one interview. He totally did this for shits and giggles. Oh, Windowlicker is also disturbing, forgot to mention that.

The weirdest songs that I've heard are mostly because my brain gives me illusions of weird stuff. That includes tracks like It Was You, Tear The Roof Up, Motor, Profondo/PAYDAY, and Bumble Bee (by Zedd & Botnek).

Seriously, I nearly jumped out of my seat when I saw the SAWII cover on the playlist. It's funny how Celldweller was the first artist who I loved listening to. I remember few more artists too. But now, after me getting into Aphex MUCH MORE, I was so damn suprised to see him as their inspiration.....

Even Deadmau5 thinks of him highly. Richard is like the Bono of electronic music apparently.
