Don't rush into ranked. If you haven't already, try and get comfortable with every role (Top, Jungle, Mid, ADC and especially Support) as you don't always get your way in Champion Select. I'd suggest learning 2 champions for every role just in case. Make sure you have at least 3 rune pages. An AD, AP and Support. Just take it one step at a time, solo q is fill of retards, but as long as you play well, you can carry :) good luck!
