You say three minute film, what makes a film a film as I always associate them as 1-2hours long?
A film is a story told through the recording of a camera. What you're referring to is a feature film, which is anything longer then 40m :)

what advice would you give to someone just starting out with youtube?
Network, make friends, collaborate, HAVE FUN!, just keep doing it. Need to have a regular schedule, upload at the same time, etc.
what first got you into youtube?
I've done videos on YT since '06, I've always liked making videos, and found that YouTube was a good place to do so :P
What inspires you?
Lots of things inspire me, I don't really have "one big" inspiration. Whether it be a technique someone uses, the success of a friend, or just something I see whilst walking.

Hard question. I think the only clear winner is Vanilla Coke.

Pretty much all of my experience with photoshop has been playing around with the program. If I couldn't work something out, I'd YouTube it.
