If your kid was a great hockey player and had the chance to go to the QMHJL or play college hockey where would you send him?

It would be his decision, but I'm his dad and I'd advise him, quite strongly, to go to college. Not only do you get a degree, but most younger players need to get stronger, and the college schedule is conducive to that. You're also playing against bigger, stronger kids in most cases instead of kids as young as 16 years old. In most cases college players are playing against players that are closer to "NHL age."

Should BC fans panic at this loss?

Seriously? No. It's a loss, for sure. But BC is about more than just one incoming freshman player, no matter how good he is. Their D might be the best in the country, they have a great goaltender, and I think they'll find a way to score some goals. Just a hunch.

Why did holland decommit from Merrimack last year

He didn't decommit, technically. He was on campus and working out in the preseason. He left school before classes began, I believe. His family owns a good-size business in the area, and I think he went into the family biz.

milano is going to get better playing more than a pee wee schedule in college. why don't you Americans get that???

It's not all about "playing games." If he needs to add muscle and get stronger, it's a lot harder to do that during an OHL season. Many more chances to get in the gym in college. Plus more practice, which makes perfect most times.

Is BC bringign in a kid to replace Milano???

Haven't heard definitively. Too early to tell, quite frankly. Those discussions, if they happen, will happen this week is my guess.

Why don't you or any other "reporter" ask to talk to Milano instead of spreading rumors

I requested it on Saturday. He chose to put out a statement through his agent.

Do you feel lied to about whoever told you Malano was going to go to BC?

Not at all. Source said something happened within the last few weeks. That happens sometimes. I don't believe I wasn't getting the truth at the time 2 weeks ago.

Name a couple of d2 players that have a chance to play d1

Haven't seen enough to give you an insightful answer, to be honest

Two surprise player's in d2 next year will be joe cucuzza (saugus) and donnie shaw (Peabody) have battled injuries most of high school and have some potential, what do you think ?

Honestly, I haven't seen them, so can't comment

What do you think of Mike Eruzione's nephew who was at Winthop but spent the last 2 years at Cushing? D1?

Honestly, haven't watched him play enough.

Do you think connor irving is a d1 player ?

Saw him play a few times this year, and I think he has a shot. Comes from a great family - a coach's son - so you know he's extremely coachable. I haven't met him, but he seems like the type of player that will do whatever you ask of him. He might be a role player at the next level, but you know he'd give you his all.

Do you think its possible for a kid playing d2 to get recruited by a d1 college or juniors

Sure. No matter where you play, coaches will find you IMO. You just need to be good enough.

Seems like this years Super Eight has a pretty good amount of Division 1 commits. Makes you wonder which is the better route to take in hopes of a scholarship Prep or Catholic? After you factor in schooling, money, travel, etc...

Doesn't matter. If you're good enough, these coaches will find you. They're everywhere. IMO, and talking to a lot of them they agree, it doesn't matter where you're playing. Be good enough, and they'll recruit you.

How does SLUs recruit class look?

Horn is a good player (transfer). Heard good things about Mitch Eden too

What about UNH?

Winner of UNH-NU keeps their hopes alive. Loser's season is likely over. NU can help themselves a lot if the win that series - 2 good road wins.

northeastern have a good shot?

They'll need to beat UNH in the QFs, then we can re-evaluate. But they need wins. Currently, if they lose to UNH, probably not.
