Did your parents support you financially in the beginning?

In the beginning of me moving here? Hell no. I have paid my own bills since I got my first full time job a few months after college.

Hi~ I'm sorry if it's strange to ask, but I was just curious, how did you go from Nj to Nyc to Japan? I currently live in Nj and my biggest dream ever is to visit Japan. So I was just wondering, did you go through a college program or did you know people? :3

Definitely not strange to ask. I first came here through a study abroad program in college which I think is the easiest way because everything is set up for you. I'm not a student anymore so I can't do that again and I can't just come here for fun whether I know people or not and live here without a job so.... I got a job teaching English.

heho :3 i just wanna ask u how u learn japanese and if u may have some tipps for me :3 bzw ure blog ist awsome and ure really cute <3

Hello! First of all, wow thanks that's really sweet. <3
I took Japanese for 3 years in high school, 5 weeks abroad and one semester in college. I highly recommend enrolling in a class somewhere when you are starting out unless you're super good a teaching things to yourself. It helped me understand how the language works a lot better than I could have learned on my own. Now I'm at a point where I have enough of a base in the language that I can theoretically just teach myself a lot of things, but it's difficult for me personally to learn from a textbook because I can't retain it well. I am lucky that I live in Japan now so most things I learn through experience such as listening to people I work with speak, reading signs and menus, listening to announcements at train stations, reading Japanese tweets etc. I also watch anime but I do not recommend learning Japanese through anime unless you already know quite a bit of the language and have enough context for the vocabulary and grammar structures used. Sometimes I study kanji using a flashcard SRS app called Anki but again, I learn a million times better when I'm exposed to aspects of the language through experience. That's just me personally though. If you are looking to start out on your own and can't take a class anywhere for some reason, I recommend the book series called Genki and begin with memorizing hiragana and then katakana so that you can start to read.

I didn't mean to make you cry Carly, but I am so glad I could stir your emotions in some way. (✿◠‿◠)

t...thank u

It's Arnie Duh! looool But you already knew that. Great use of the "pretend and deny approach". Well done, but you do know that's a form of flirting in the western world right? I love it :D !!

(づ-̩̩̩-̩̩̩_-̩̩̩-̩̩̩)づ

You know you're going to start liking me a lot more down the line right? :D

How can I answer this if I don't know who you are?

did you get a degree when you left to teach there or just got the sponsored thing? (I don't know the correct terms orz)

I got a BA before I could even apply for this job. I think this answers your question?

What do you think is your best feature/attribute?

I'm really supportive of my friends and I'm a good listener. I care about other people a lot but sometimes this becomes my worst feature because I neglect myself if I get too concerned about someone else's well being.
I think that would be it. Maybe.

Why did you move to Japan? Where are you originally from?

I'm American. I moved here because I wanted to come back for an extended period of time and so I could get better at Japanese language without going to school because $$$$

Do you have a certificate to teach English as a second language in Japan? Did you even need one for the current company you work with? :0

nope you don't need anything besides a college degree because it's an assistant position! but i'm sure a certification wouldn't hurt, especially for teaching ESL. Most companies will probably mention this on their websites too.

How did you meet your best friend?

I don't have one best friend! But I have a lot of really good meeting stories for good friends hm...
