Question about the School-Live Limited Ed. announced recently. On the disc cases, will the inside spines be labeled? I want to flip the covers when I put it on my shelf (personal preference).

SirYodaJedi
We haven't released the final designs for that particular set yet.

Have Limited Editions been selling well for you? I'm asking since you seem to be putting out a lot more of them , which is great, since there'll be more stuff for me to buy and enjoy! I'm on the Umaru, Ajin, School Live LE hype train! Thanks for the great work!

Shhhhh... that's a secret...

I always wonder how you chose who to cast in certain voice roles in anime dubs? What factors are there? How many recording sessions are done, and how long does it take to produce an anime dub?

Naftali Poritz
That's a lot of questions, and none of which have a "constant" answer. The short answer is: it depends. The length of the show, the number of lines per episode, and amount of characters all play into how long it takes to complete each dub. Casting, though, is helmed almost entirely by the director's creative genius.

you guys licensed trinity seven, will you also license the new movie that just came out?

Thank you for the suggestion! No news yet, but glad to know you want it.

wait, you guys only ship in united states? im trying to preorder before 2/28 so its free shipping but i live in europe :(

Therelaxingend255’s Profile PhotoLolleman
Unfortunately, our store is only able to ship to the USA at this time.

I saw the School-Live dub announcement recently, which was purporting to be day 1 of auditions. Meanwhile, the site shows a release date in June, only four months later. Is dub production turnaround really that fast? If so, wow! Colour me surprised!

Black_Waltz_3
Never said it was "Day One," just that there happened to be auditions on the day of filming. The timeline varies per show, but you can be sure that School-Live! will be available by streetdate.

Looks like School Live is getting a dub, and I anticipate a June 2017 release. Will the people auditioning be newcomers, or legacy voice actors, or both?

Naftali Poritz
NO IDEA. The choice will depend entirely on the director.

I've got another Big O question as well. I noticed that the Japanese Blu-ray had commentary. Is it safe to say that the US BD won't feature that commentary?

mdgeist
Correct. This release does include a cast interview.

Will your Ajin release include credits for the show's English dub? Netflix's stream doesn't include them & it would be nice to have a full cast list to confirm who voices who

JRPictures’s Profile PhotoJonathan Rizko
We will be releasing the same credits provided to us by that licensor, and it doesn't appear to have the credits you were asking about.

Is there anything fans could do to continue a canceled series and how could an anime get a remake?

GottiLoko’s Profile PhotoGotti Loko
Fans could stream their favorite shows on legal streaming sites and purchase merchandise. The more the industry can measure how much fans like a show, the more likely they will be inclined to continue a series. We're still hoping for seasons 2s of our favorites.

Since you guys will Dub Gate and Ushio & Tora for #TheDubsAreComing does that mean Gate and Ushio & Tora Season 1 & 2 should be together or there all been separate since these 2 Animes have 2 Seasons?

JesseXF10’s Profile PhotoJesse Aguilar Rivas
All 39 episodes of Ushio and Tora are actually all part of one season, hence we are planning to consolidate them into one release (versus the split releases of the past for longer shows like Akame ga Kill! and Parasyte -the maxim-). (Our first non-split release was My Love Story!!)

Will you release a Girls und Panzer der Film premium box set, and if so, what will be in it?

Kyle Rohlfing
At this time, there is a regular home video release for the film. No PBS planned, but thanks for letting us know you want one!

Is there going to be a season 3 of Infinte Stratos? I dont see why not ive done my research and it shows that infinte stratos has done amazingly.

Brandon Lamar
Sure! We would love to see more IS, but that decision is up to Japan. We find out when you guys do if there will be subsequent seasons.

Hey have you considered switching from yellow subtitles to white subtitles? Like every other major anime licensor in the US. Also didn't Sentai hold the license for Konosuba.

Paqotote’s Profile PhotoPaco Garza
Yellow subtitles with black outline are part of our style guide for multiple reasons, the highest reason relating to higher visibility and readability. Also, so we do not hold the license to Konosuba.

Would I still be supporting the industry / original creators if a bought a new DVD/Bluray off of Amazon?

NowItsAngeTime
Yes! Purchasing home video releases from your favorite retailer is a perfect way to support the industry. Look for the "Sentai Filmworks" logo and copyright on the packaging to make sure you're getting the right product (you don't want icky knock-offs). However, we offer a lot of deals on the Sentai shop (shop.sentaifilmworks.com) via email coupons, seasonal promotions, and love.

Just wondering, since ClassicaLoid has become on of my favorite comedy shows. Why are Sentai's subtitles on Hulu different than the subtitles on Crunchyroll? :| I noticed this when my friend who uses CR pointed it out.

Ah! Good question! Everyone's subtitling process is different, but st Sentai, our simulcast process is structured so that the same people work on the same show for the duration of its simulcast. This ensures a consistent feel, and we have the same eyes on a project from translation, editing, subtitling, and QC. We abide by our living style guide throughout the simulcast phase to make our product is as true to the intent of the original Japanese work as possible.
For ClassicaLoid in particular, we also were able to get translations for the songs! The ending song from the Chopin-Jolie episode is a favorite of ours:

Gonna third the Flip Flappers dub suggestion! Super fun simulcast for such a unique show. I'd love to rewatch it all dubbed. While I'm here a Chivalry of a Failed Night dub would be pretty cool as well, tho now that Dungeon got dubbed and a box set my wallet is yelling at me haha.
