I see that now all your BDs & DVDs have locked subs. While I get why, is there a way to offer an option to view dubs with full subs, not just the song/sing subs? I like to compare dubs and subs, and others do too, I'm sure. Viz offers this option after all. Why not you guys?

Currently there are no options for captions on English releases, as that is an additional level of configuration. There are some shows that offer it - like Knights of Sidonia - but as of right now, it's something we can only look into.

If you end up dubbing Squid Girl, seeing as how there's already a dub for season 1, would you go straight to season 2 or redo season 1 as well?

That's a good question, but we just announced the acquisition of that, so we haven't started thinking that far ahead just yet. Keep the comments coming though, since we are reading them all with great interest.

As someone who buys digital anime releases, what allows some titles to be released digitally and some not? Is it because of the licensor, lack of public interest... etc.?

All of the above. There are a lot of factors, so you can't narrow it down to just one, and it also depends on the show itself.

I see that your fall shows will be on ANO. Please don't make them exclusive to ANO. Is there any way free users can watch your shows? I prefer Crunchyroll to watch your shows. Tubi TV is out of question. Yahoo View is fine as long as there is no longer delay.

Some titles will be available on other streaming services. For example, UtaPri4 just streamed outside of ANO this weekend. Keep watching your provider of choice for updates.

Why premium edition Blu-ray for IS2 at ridiculous price? What about regular edition Blu-ray with same disc contents at regular price?

The IS2 Blu-Ray mirrors the Japanese BD release with the exception of the inclusion of an English dub.

Pretty sure you might not be able to outright answer this but I'm going to ask anyways. Will there be a second season to chivalry of a failed knight? I don't want a release date but simply to know if it will be cancelled or continued.

Agreed. We desperately want a 2nd season of Chivalry of a Failed Knight (we need more Stella, STAT), but that's in Japan's court. We don't make second seasons: we wait with the rest of the fandom for it.

How do you select which questions to answer? Cuz I feel like you answered same, boring questions you already answer before and, meanwhile, not answer some important, serious questions.

As noted on our profile, we cannot discuss unannounced home video or dub releases, and most questions are directed towards future releases, dub or otherwise.
That being said, we do hoard all questions to keep note of what future releases people are interested in (I.E.: #TheDubsAreComing). As a general rule, if we haven't publicly announced it on our official blog or website, we most likely will not disclose that information on ask.fm.

Hey Sentai, When will you be doing your another Dubbing upgrade?! :/ I'm asking this because the last time you did it on of Dog & Scissors and Maid Sama!, So I'm hoping that you'll do more dub upgrades for customers who purchased subtitled-only releases in the near future, ya know! ;)

Thanks for your support of the show! Squee! Best girl is Kurumi, armed with Shovel-san. Why? Because Kurumi isn't going to take your crap, and she manages to use a common household shovel as a deadly, zombie-slaying weapon.

What is the difference between your "Collector's Editions" (Akame ga Kill, Monthly Girls Nozaki-Kun, NGNL etc.) and what you call a "Premium Edition" (KoS: BVattle for Planet 9)?

There technically is NOT a difference all - all premium box sets are limited edition in terms that only a specific quantity are made. On our website, we use the verbiage "premium box set", but some of our partners describe the same product as a collector's edition.

Why are your releases delayed by a month on Amazon.ca for no reason, when we get our hands on them a month of extra waiting, they are identical to the US releases, I assumed the delay was to print cover art with french text but that isn't the case.

It might have something to do with customs. That's not something we're in charge of, so you might want to direct that question to Amazon.ca.

Hey Ask Sentai Sensei! Just wondering about the timeline on Chivalry of a Failed Knight. Any idea if it'll hit the release announcement list soon? Also, would majorly love a dub of that show! I have a few dub only friends who said they'd totally be down to watch with me if it gets one =D

We love Chivalry too, but we don't have any news on the home video release date yet. It takes about 12 to 18 months after a show completes simulcasting to release home video details.
