Nuclear Power plant in the future? size 4x4 and 50 Mw of energy?

We would like to do the nuclear power eventually, but It is way too early to think about the size or output. We might consider adding that to our roadmap when the multiplayer is finished and we have 0.12 working.

Is the map endless or will be one day ?? :o (and i heard you are a Czech company so i wanted to support you bought it and love it during my maturita :D)

The map is endless already. Actually it always was. Yes, we are Czech company, I hope you will concentrate mainly on study before the maturita :)

Have you considered automated construction without direct player control? For example, a builder arm that can deploy buildings (if there's room) rather than dropping them on the ground as the inserter does? Or a way to move existing constructions a la Minecraft's piston?

We have the blueprints and buildings robots for this(building/deconstructing), so we don't feel the urge to make some other mechanics regarding this. We might add some automation to blueprint creation and application though, so the auto-replicating factory could become reality.

what is going to be added most likely next update? and when will it be?

The next update should be done at the end of this month (may), but it usually takes some weeks until the version gets stable. The update will contain environment sounds, map generation string that can be used to share the starting conditions on freeplay maps. Combined with replays, this should allow to compete for the shortest completion times for example. It also contains optimisations (mainly the parallelised map generation) and update of graphics for some of the existing updates and several smaller things. The update doesn't have so much content, as we are partially making the foundations for multiplayer already.

Can you tell what libs do you use to make/compile the game? I am very fond of the game and the way it's made.

We use C++, allegro for the graphics/sounds, boost, Agui, Lua, minizip, open-vcdiff, UnitTest++ and zlib

Any plans for recylcing of created items (for some not all material costs) in the future? My chests are filling up with dross!

Yes, we are asked to do this often, so we will eventually do something like recycler, but we would like the building to have some other use as well, maybe it could be used to get rid of unwanted oil products.

Can the team of Factorio Build 3 types of boat? 1. wood boat (wood) 2. normal boat (Iron) 3. Ferry boat (steel) (copy the code of car and make it run on water with a new look)

Some kind of boat will probably be necessary to have in the future, but it is still not on our roadmap, so maybe after 0.12

Can the factorio team make a new item to train object? item: [][][] ->train out train in ->[][][] the [][][] is the item 3*2 that can divert the train one position in length. [][][] with this new item the people can make better stations and contour object's

The train is in 2X2 grid and we plan to keep it for the sake of simplicity.

Do the bugs get harder based upon how long you play ? Or based upon how har you have researched ?

The player research doesn't affect it. There are now 3 factors that affect evolution. 1) Time 2) Pollution 3) Killed enemy hives.

Ok i know its easy just to ask stuff but... would it be possible for mechs? in a sense of having a combat ready unit that maybe has its own weaponry? it can be something from a very cheap "meat shield" to a super weapon like Evangelion (:P ok that was a bit too much)

We plan something like tank, vehicle that would be adjustable/upgradable and driven by the player. It is planned for version 0.12

multiplayer I really wait for this improvment :)

We are working on the multiplayer right now, the first rough version should be in the 0.11 version.

Will we be able to have pollution free technology? Futuristic High-End factories? And to balance it out with the enemy! A mother hive?

These are all additions that might be there or not. We have plan for the 3 future releases and we shall see what would be best to do next.

Can I edit a map that I am playing on?

Yes it is possible, but not it is only possible using Factorio from commandline. Factorio --help will inform you, that there is command map2scenario for it. We might add this option to be more user friendly later, if there are more people who would like to use it.

Can i buy it with an Paysafecard?

It is not currently possible, but one of the card payment provider we are in contact with supports it, so it is possible to happen in the future.

Could you make the second toolbar from the toolbelt just above the first, so you don't need to switch always? And will there ever be a way of traveling over water without mods?

The first has been just done in the 0.9.2, the second is waiting to get to our list, but someday it might sense to do it.

What can we do to support the game (past purchasing it and spreading the word of course)?

There is lot of help we received that was very helpful. Some players are extending the wiki. Bug reporting (especially the experimental releases) helps us to make the game much more stable. It is also possible to fix mistake translations or add missing pieces. People that are modding the game are helping as well as they are virtually extending the available content in Factorio.

You and your dev team are the future GOTY owners, thrust me!

There is no easy way to answer this, because it is not a question :) I believe that some fraction of the players (including us) love the game, but I can hardly imagine the game to be accepted by wider audience.

Metallurgy!!! Is there any ideas\suggestions on having a process of melting -> storing in foundry/container -> alloy maker. this would make for some cool looking factories and also maybe allow for mixing of alloys to create even stronger ones :) or just create a pool of molten metal!

Things like these might be part of the plans we have for the liquid based industry (mainly the oil) for the 0.9. Even if we don't implement melting directly in the 0,9, it will be possible to mod things like this after 0.9.

What do you think is going to be the biggest issues/struggles moving forward?

The biggest struggle will be the multiplayer, mainly solving all the synchronisation issues. We belive it will be worth it.

I have just made a map in the map editor, and saved it as a custom scenario, but now I want to edit the control script and add some items the player starts with. I can't find the file anywhere, where is it saved?

Hello, the file is optional, you need to create the file manually.
